The crescent roll in the thumbnail was soooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful... The cutest crescent roll ever!! The lighting, the shape, the position, it was all so perfect :0
Love the recipe, not nearly as intimidating as I thought they would be! Totally agree, anyway to keep students engaged is imperative! Math in the kitchen!!
Because this recipe is just brioche dough shaped like croissant (crescent rolls), is does not make real croissants. Real croissants would involve lamination, which would need to enclose butter into the dough, then fold it many times... A lot more work. No the kind John shows us usually. Although I'd like it if he went into more technical cakes sometimes.
@@jessejames8901 @Franck SAUTRON Note the title is "Crescent Rolls" not Croissants. These are like the rolls you might buy in the grocery store in a tube, minus the extra stabilizing ingredients. They are shaped similarly, but are a world apart.
Absolutely John! I taught fractions doing baking, I was most successful with that! Yes, ovens belong in the classrooms! I love your videos, thank you for what you do!
I made them today and they turned out so amazing! The second batch i threw dark sea salt chocolate in the middle and my goodness it took everything to the next level! This wouldn't have been possible without this video thank you so much!
My Mom made wonderful yeast rolls, what a treat they were. In my younger days I was a pretty good cook yet I don’t recall ever making yeast rolls from scratch. Now I get them from frozen food section in the grocery store. And they are pretty good too, at least better than brown and serve. My daughter and her hubby are foodies, yet she really likes brown and serve. Cracks me up. Those crescents look beautiful John.
Cannot wait to try these! I swear I’ve binged all of your videos this week while on my treadmill 😂 always treat myself to a recipe of yours at the end of the month ✨
Not only do I love your videos but your teaching skills are spectacular! I just made these rolls for dinner and my husband ate 5 of them! They came out so yummy. I’ll be making these again on Thursday to bring to a dinner with friends.
I really love fresh yeast breads, and my Dad taught me the “secret” about having your dough slightly sticky by not adding too much flour or over working it. I’m definitely making these tomorrow!😋 Thanks so much for sharing!
This is an awesome, great-no difficult recipe to make and this crescent rolls looks divine..!!! I can’t wait to make them and maybe even with some fillings like chocolate, cheese or guava, I don’t if is ok ??? Thank you very much for sharing I really appreciate it…..have wonderful day and Be well !!!
I was making Sopapilla, but I didn't have canned crescent rolls, so I looked up recipes & made yours & it came out fantastic! This is such a beautiful dough! Thank you for sharing! 😊
After watching your Brioche vid, I got a stand mixer and tested it out on this, it was really worth it! These are almost an exact copy of the tube variety, but so much better. They came out perfectly, the butter shined them up too, delicious.
Yes I definable agree with the oven in the classrooms … anything to wake up the creativity, and add to learning strategies… thank you for all delicious recipes I try a different one every week … easy, funny and fun instructions … love your channel 😀🙌🏻💕
tried this recipe with whole wheat. it's sooooooooooooooooooooooooo delicious!!! thank you John for sharing! I appreciate your channel sooooooooooooooooo much~~!
We always make crescent rolls stuffed with breakfast sausage and cream cheese for Thanksgiving and Christmas breakfasts. I have always wanted to do it with crescent rolls that do not have a bunch of artificial ingredients, so I am looking forward to trying out this recipe!
yes, nice to see you back again its 6;29am here in PHILIPPINES I AM WAITING FOR YOUR VLOG AND NICE TO SEE YOUR NEW RECIPE AND THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS BREAD RECIPE I LOVE THIS THANKS FOR SHARING SIR THIS RECIPE AND I AM WAITING FOR YOU SIR GOD BLESS
I 100% agree with you on the baking and math comment. My Mom insisted I learned how to bake as kid. As a result, fractions were so much easier for me to understand. Baking is a great way to teach math to kids.
Hi John! Just to let you know, I just made these but I only had bread flour, and I had to use a total of 570g to reach the point you show in the video. I have to say that the dough is great to work with, and the bread flour made it so elastic and soft. They taste great and are still very soft the next day. I would add a bit more salt next time though (for my taste). Thank you for developing this recipe, I'm a big fan and every recipe I make always works!
Thank you for your videos Sir. I tried this recipe this a.m. & even though I don't have all the ingredients (some substitutions) but I think I still have the final cooked croissants with the perfect taste as in your original recipe. Amazing. Keep up the good work my son said the word 'good" as he tasted it: inspiring; thanks again.
The recipe that you didn't know you needed...until it magically appeared 🥳🤩💯....thank you ever so much John, your recipes are always, ALWAYS, brilliant...this is a definite make for a family Christmas dinner - yes already looking ahead..of course there will be MANY tests, for instance right now (late supper), the coming weekend (with soup Saturday, Sunday roast), next week, the following week...ad infinitum. 🥰💯💫🙏
these taste amazing! just made them, my family’s enjoying it so much, thank you! although it took me like over 4 hours.. how do you do it lol, i swear, everything you do is perfect
I've tried so many scone receipes, but yours and you are the best. Love your videos....scone, scoone....take your pic, that's how it is here in the UK !
I was looking for this! And hoping our favorite chef would do a video about croissants and when I checked TH-cam it’s there! 🤩 thank you preppy kitchen ❤️
My kid was in grade 1 when Covid lock down shut down schools. We spent so much time in the kitchen doing trickster math and science. She didn’t know she was learning, just having fun! :)
Thank you John!!!!! I requested for it....and here you are with the recipe... thank you....was trying for a long time to make...finally i'm gonna make it.... thank you ❣️❣️❣️
I’m just enjoying watching you! What a warm delightful smile you have😊 anyway, I made it, it was soooo good💕 I don’t like adding flour too many times, so I did 250g first and 250g second, it worked perfectly! This will add to my collection, thank you so much!! (Correction, I trusted your recipe & did how you did... it was way better than what i did first. I’m sorry!)

My mother found the best scientists were also the best cooks.
