Same, I found a early one 1937 dated factory code stamped "M7/42 RZM at W.K.C Solingen" has the knight's helmet symbol on it. Rough condition (good rough condition where it has heavy usage and sharpened, not rust or anything like that) for $223 at my local armory. Didn't come with a scabbard sadly. Bad, yeah usually from my experience I see HJ knife in bad condition and still go for $600+. Really paying for the history's value above all else.
Gotta hunt. I bought one 6 months ago off off FB marketplace for 325$ and it’s a beauty. Just bought another 2 days ago off a very fair dealer for 400$ also no motto but a solid rating of 7/8!
Finally picked up my HJ knife I bought a full year ago, cuz the guy in Minnesota wouldnt mail to me in Canada thanks to our, paradoxically, fascist government confiscating them! This is a LEGAL product in Canada and you can get them online...only of course for THREE TIMES the price of a US seller...So I had him ship it to my buddy in Florida, and he only just was able to drive it to Buffalo where I crossed over and brought it back with zero issues ..LOL, he was scared to bring it over himself, since he is a Canuck and trying to relocate he and his family and business (LEGALLY) to the States, and didnt want to "risk" anything with the border folks...Many eye-rolls! Anyway..it's a beautiful piece with the motto, and made by "TIGER!!" (seems appropriate!), AND is acid-etched on the reverse with "Plon", which is a castle town in northern Germany which had a Prussian military academy...so Im guessing this was issued to some hard-assed kid!..I wish there was some way to tell that kids family I have their grand-dads' knife, OR the American vet who brought it home....that it's now in MY good home, and I will cherish their trophy for the rest of my days!
@@kennethreese4659 -Cheers!! NONE of my weenie family wanted to bring it up from Florida...Krikey...its not the friggin Arc of the Covenant!....They wouldnt even mail it so I could take my chances with Canada Post! Ive been making Tamiya tank models, and watching war, and history films and docs and running around in camo since I was 5... I dont know who they think I am.
