@@lorenzorequena4240 thank you.
A wonderful collection. What are the numbers on the side edge of the medals stand for? Are they batch numbers or directly tied to the soldier?
@@jimrutherford2773 thank you. I'm not too sure what the numbers represent.
Symmetry and impressive

@@RalphThompson-r8f he's been there the last couple years so it's a good chance.
When i was growing up, my mother had her brothers personal effects crate from ww2 in the attic. Only one board removed ,and never fully opened. As a kid i remember seeing lifebuoy soap, balled socks and dress shoes, and a compact from the 1939 worlds fair in the box. I never explored into it as it felt direspectful. My older brother has it now. He was killed by a fellow g.i. playing hot potato with a grenade.
@@Jims2517 sorry to hear about your brother.

L.P.Th. Nr. 176 = Landespolizei Thuringen weapon number 176 (State police of Thuringia).
@@johnlawson2984 thank you.
The first holster is a Portuguese GNR holster the small side pocket is for a pin punch, the flap side is for a cleaning rod. Second holster looks to be a reissue post war (Dutch?) with repaired belt loops. The L.P..TH I believe is Land Polizei Thurgstad. The pistol is a 1920s police issue with a sear safety. Cool stuff.👍🏻😀🇺🇲
