Very nice Artillerie visor Ken! I’ve been trying to find a decent one myself but every time one goes for sale in the duffel bag group, it’s usually gone within an hour. Iron crosses are very nice as well!
@@kriegius thank you but it's Artillery. Red piping. Thanks for watching and good luck to you in finding one for your collection.

That 1st Class Iron Cross, does it have a seam running around the edge of the frame? I couldn't really see one while watching on my phone.
@@timothymarshall8623 no it doesn't.
@kennethreese4659 , there should be one, sir.

Very nice pick ups. The Jap rifles book is a must have for anyone collecting WW2 Axis militaria. Reference books are always the backbone to collecting.
You do informative and entertaining videos. I am.new subscriber!!
Thank you and thanks for subscribing.
You were SO fortunate to meet "Pappy" in person!!! At the time that you met him in 1984, I had to settle with being a mere pen pal. I began corresponding with him circa 1980. He lived in Fresno. I have a few signed photos that he gave me, including a large 8 x 10 that he signed in 1945. He had signed it for some guy that didn't include his return address. He'd tucked it away and had forgotten it until I mentioned original photos. I always wanted to meet him but Toronto, Ontario was too far away. I was in San Diego in 1985 but there was no time to work out a meeting. Great stuff Ken and aq great video as always! Thank you!!!
@@stevemartin6144 thank you. Meeting Pappy was one memory I will cherish for ever. He was my hero.

Great video.. real good condition pistols and holsters, very hard to come by today .. very interesting thank you 👍
@@gregarywilliams5674 thank you.
Looks like a gun a kid would draw, pretty sure them japs were desperate at that point in the war
I have Type 14 Nambu. Found some bullets for it $1.50 each. So, I purchased an 8MM Nambu die, and a full-length swage die, both from RCBS for $150.00. I found a 30, and 32 Rem. can be swaged down to 8MM Nambu. Cut them off and reem the neck. Then they stop making the 30 and 32 Rem, rounds. So, I wanted to look and a 30-30 Win that can be sized down, and then do some lathe work to the back of 30-30 casing, and grind a tool for cutting the extractor.
@@johndutcher2446 nice. Sounds like a lot of work to make those.
My son has a Nambu in its holster with lanyard, belts and has 3 ammo pouches on the belt. The Japanese character on the pistol that represents "Safe" translates to "Peaceful" he was told. His holster has Japanese characters, can't say same as yours or not, on the inside that he was told translates to "Police". Figure it was possibly carried post war by a Japanese police officer.
@@bigfootlivz that's cool. Sounds like an awesome rig.
Excellent tutorial on japanese short weapons,I have a friend whole is a collector of japanese militaria and he would like this video Greeting for Spain
@@lorenzorequena4240 thank you.
❤❤. My late Uncle brought a Nambu Pistol from the end of WW2 for my late Grandfather . He was an officer in the British Army fighting Japanese in Burma sector.

Nice examples. I'd like a Type 26, especially in the condition yours is in. Holsters are worth more than the guns these days.

Kenneth, I have a mint condition Luftwaffer bronze driver sleeve badge that I ordered, and I thought i was ordering an army bronze driver sleeve badge. I don't know if maybe you have a gas mask pertect sheet that fits inside the cloth pouch. I ordered a Luftwaffer gas mask cloth pouch with the sheet inside. The cloth carrier is in great shape, and when I opened the pouch, they had folded up newspaper taped up with duck tape. So I need just an insert to put inside the cloth pouch. Thanks
