    There are a few reasons why western countries the governments don't want their citizens to visit China.
    1st to see all the Chinese super infrastructures.
    2nd how China is able to keep the public areas so clean, green and organized.
    3th why China is so safe even for foreigners.
    If those western countries people visit China and see all these, they will realize how useless their governments are compared to the Chinese government. With so much taxes they're paying, yet their useless governments are not able to provide them the same infrastructures, cleanliness and safety to the people.
    That is why their governments keep lying to them about how bad China is. How undeveloped China is. The governments do not want the people to see the real China and compare.

    Cameras are not the reason why crime is low in china, the reason is that the government lifted 800,000 people out of extreme poverty and 96% of Chinese people own a house, so very few homelessness cases, that's why, it's always the material conditions, even if u installed the same amount of cameras in the US crime won't go down, u have to improve people's lives

      Absolutely! When people are housed and fed, and have nice cellphones, great roads, cheap and super efficient public transport, etc, there’s very little incentive to do crime. What for?

    This was great, thank you Blake. You did such a good job with recording this destination. I have joined your group here and hope more will.. to see the truth and hear your own experiences and opinions. Please make these videos from China, show the world how people really live there. I am tired of the negative propaganda only, that we see from main stream media. I agree with you this non existent sidewalks here in USA are limiting so many to walk. Especially us emigrants. I am from Slovakia where we just like Chinese people have a freedom to walk, or take a bus everywhere, to every small village out there. If you do not have car in USA , you are done and trapped. I enjoy seeing grocery stores and in future videos you can show more of anything you like. All the best to your wife and to you. Thank you! Regards Jana

    I like walking too. It may seem like a waste of time at the beginning, but once you get moving, you realize it’s actually not. Unlike driving which seems to be a time saver, walking does not require much attention so you can use your brain. Plan your to-do list, recap a project, think about life, whatever.

    Cigarette smoking was a habit the Chinese copied from the Americans. It was introduced to them by the Americans, so they thought it was a very American thing to do. The leadership first took up that habit and everyone else followed suit as time went on. The Chinese tried to learn to open up and learn from the West. They chose to learn from the Americans as they viewed the Americans was slightly more benevolent to them when the Foreigners invaded China. It started as gifts and as the Chinese looked into American culture, smoking cigarettes was one of the iconic things Americans did, so they copied it. A bit ironic now that Americans mostly moved away from that. But once upon a time cigarettes was part of the iconic American culture, it was a very American thing to do. In the USA, cigarettes was everywhere, literally. So in all honesty, it is a bit hypocritical for Americans to complain about smoking when it was Americans introduced cigarettes to the developing world.

      @blakehandshake  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Easy to complain on a video too that speaks very positively about China. Thanks for watching anyway!

      It certainly can be and I don't blame you. Most people will welcome vlogs that are based on honest feelings and opinions, not distorted or fabricated ones. I was just pointing out that tidbit for better context. Another "High Societal" tidbit that usually comes around that Western Vloggers like to bring up are veganism. While the Chinese are not the people that started veganism, they have embraced it since the introduction of Buddhism a couple thousand years ago. So the Chinese are well aware of veganism. However, many Westerner Vloggers would complain about the Chinese understanding of veganism concept. Usually insinuating the Chinese are primitive and should learn about "Western Veganism". I am not implying you are one of them. Just want to point out another cultural tidbit for better mutual understanding. China is a huge and diverse country with many different ethnic back grounds, customs and traditions. China also has been a closed society for many years so certainly there will be instances where it might seem strange to Westerners. But just keep a open mind, infact, even to the Chinese themselves, many are not exposed to all the varied differences. So for many Chinese, they too are always learning different customs of the varied regions. Some are passed down from thousands of years of tradition from different tribes and ethnic backgrounds. It takes a great deal of patience and understanding to learn all these traditions and customs. The Chinese are great adapters, so they have picked up patience and understanding to learn the differences among each other to coexist with harmony. The result of that is what you are experiencing when you interacted with the Chinese people, that is where the difference came from. It is the result of a Ancient culture enduring continuos polishing of coexistence in harmony.
