I am close to 70 and have been listening to Herb Alpert since 1965. When i started dating my wife, Connie, in 1980 , we found by looking at our mutual record collections that we had the IDENTICAL Herb Alpert and the Tijuana brass albums. How is that for compatibility. Almost married 39 years!!
I know this is old post but if you get this, I am your age and when I was 13-14 my brother and I would listen to the 3 Herb Albert albums we owned over and over! What great memories and music like no other! This is a great song to cruise in the car with. Cheers!

I been an Herb Alpert fan since i was 10 years old, 1970. his early stuff is good. but as I got older. love his later music when I became older.. from 1980 and on. When I was station in England got into his music. It brought back sweet memories of home in Southern California. Now it brings back great and meaningful memories of England of the two tours I had there, 1982-83 and 1988-91, now his music is my time machine to take me back to the best time of my life ever. The drives I took through the country side during the morning and afternoon on the weekends in the fall and spring, it was so peaceful in England. His sound of the trumpet, there is nothing like it. it had feeling and made you feel his music in your soul. only a few artist game me that feeling. Santana is the other. When I want to go back to my youth I put him on and relax close my eyes he takes me back. Love the man.
Ah yes! Driving down the legendary 101 in the mid 80's in my beloved California .. opened windows, 90º temps .. which coastal break to stop at for some tasty waves? .. nothing in the world to care about, pure bliss! Love this journey ..
I’m attending his concert in Dallas on Jan. 30th of 2022. Cannot wait. His wonderful wife Lani Hall will be performing with him. When Dad was transferred back to the States from Yokohama, the family bought our first little stereo. Our first two Albums were Johnny Cash and Herb Albert. For a kid back in the 60s, listening to Herb Albert in Stereo was fantastic. Fell in love with his music. I am so thrilled to finally see him in concert.

Folks, you won’t believe this. Due to that sharp increase in Covid-19 infections in January, 2022. Herb and Lani canceled all of their Texas performances. All performances were rescheduled except one: Dallas. Can you believe that. I couldn’t attend the other Texas concerts due to girlfriend problems. Long story. I’m going to try and catch them later this year. I’ve got to see them. Simply got to.

Wow, que recuerdos de 1982, cuando yo iba a todas las discotecas aquí en cdmx, y cerraban la pista con esta melodía.. como olvidar el "84" del Hotel Presidente, la disco de Camino Real, ufff , el "Quetzal" y no se digan las dr Acapulco, BABY'O, Ledome, UBQ, Magic, Le Jardín, Disco Beach, en Guadalajara "Delirium" de Camino Real, en Cuernavaca estaban el "Kaova" y "Barbazul", entre otros. Que tiempos

Folks, you won’t believe this. Due to that sharp increase in Covid-19 infections in January, 2022. Herb and Lani canceled all of their Texas performances. All performances were rescheduled except one: Dallas. Can you believe that. I couldn’t attend the other Texas concerts due to girlfriend problems. Long story. I’m going to try and catch them later this year. I’ve got to see them. Simply got to.
Nós anos 80, passava uma novela, numa extinta emissora, eu era criança, por volta dos meus oito anos, e essa música marcou muito,pois fazia parte da trilha sonora dessa novela... linda demais, não tem como esquecer... maravilhosa música...

Aun recuerdo cuando era niño escuchaba las noticias en la frecuencia AM de la estacion la gran cadena RAZA de Mexico usaban el tema de intro TASTE OF HONEY.....hasta años después supe que era tema de este gran trompetista Herb Albert.....que recuerdos lo escucho y regreso a mi infancia....saludos
