- Completed in 1970, the Ohio History Center is a monumental structure most visible while travelling on I-71 just north of downtown Columbus. The organization (originally named Ohio Historical Society) was founded in 1885, but the building that currently houses the state archives celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020. Although the museum is currently closed to the public due to the pandemic, Barbara Powers of the State Historic Preservation Office welcomes us inside to help us better understand and appreciate this icon of Brutalist architecture.
