  • Sifu Chris Bouguyon and his student Nichole Pate demonstrate the Tai Chi for Arthritis Open Hand Form. Created by Dr. Paul Lam, the Tai Chi for Arthritis 32 Movement Set was donated to the Arthritis Foundation to provide people with any of the over 100 arthritis diseases an alternative to regular exercise class which they often find very painful.

    Thanks guys, very precise, slow motion movements. Very pleasing to get a feeling of what you are doing. Tai chi is a wonderful art.

    Many thanks to the SiFu and student for the demonstration. At 00:03:47 The Sifu and student perform an open and close and then start TCA 2 forms. When I first started learning this form at a Senior Center, I didn't think I was learning real Tai Chi. As I later learned, the forms in Tai Chi for Arthritis are from the Sun 73 Forms which I have spent the last year learning and have a long road to go. As I have progressed, my respect for the TC for Arthritis has grown tremendously as it is a short set of forms with incredible depth.

    You can tell who their Master Instructor is by their technique.
