If you do the lunge attack using X + Square and continue to hold square, by the time the lunge attack is finished your Burning blade will be ready to go. Makes for a nice combo.
You can also Lunge into Triangle then use Torgals precise Slice to hold them in place for new lunge or go into air attack combo :) You also get the same burning sword after a high downthrust, that then can be combo into the same precise Sic and repeat.
Man, this game is bringing a joy I haven't felt in a long time while playing a game!!!! Reminds me of the time we all got to play AC:Odyssey for the 1st time. How fun it was to explore!!!! 🔥
@JorRaptor I just wonder why they left out leviathan???? Would have been awesome to have a water ability tree and skills. But alas this journey is breathe taking!!!! Great time to be alive, and see how this series has grown!!!!
I have been keeping the exp and gil accessories on at all times, and whatever combat one felt the best. This has kept me a few levels ahead of where I am in the story, and more than enough gil to do everything I want to do. I do all the side quests/hunts as they become available. I'm sure the game would be a little easier if I swapped the economy accessories out, but I got a pretty good handle on dodge timing, so the game is still pretty easy for me as is, while still being fun.
the berserkers ring is THE BEST accessory in the game. havent finished the game but fck it, calling it now. it's just so damn good. reason being Clives regular combo is actually kinda shit. 4 hits, up to 8 if you can magic combo well (i cant) which makes sense it's all about the Eikon powers but the ring makes his regular combo into his limit break combo. not as powerful but still amazing for filling time between ability bursts.
Its not just attack magic attack magic....for example. I use charge blade after a jump to launch enemies. Then do a few hits with magic burst, jump off enemy and repeat twice with upgraded jump. Then before you both fall use down thrust. Launch a charged magic shot to push enemy back followed up with a lunge into another charged blade and any eikon ability you want. This games combat can be extremely fun if you experiment a bit. If all I did was square, triangle etc..then yeah, I'd get bored too.
For me, it’s a solid 8/10, so far. Don’t like the combat system. I stopped playing D4 to finish this. Once I’m done the story, I’m going back to it. Having a lot more fun with that game.
This game is amazing, the story is great and i am happy its not ipen wold because i am so done with everything's needing to be open world. The music is on another level its crazy. Great video
Don't waste a slot on that auto charge... Use Button Layout C and you are using the magic attack with L1 instead of triangle. You will automatically hold L1 during your combos. It's also easier to use magic burst.
i only kept the the gil, exp and ap items on while game to make it more challenging. Game was still easy but i will def be doing ff mode soon. Its crazy all the diff builds with so many accessories and eikon combos.
Does anyone know how to use abilities like flame of rebirth after unlocking? They arent showing up in fights and theres no option to equip or unequip. Im not sure if some abilities you cant use even after unlocking until further in the game but im so confused and it's bothering me to the point of not wanting to play until i figure it out
I'm near the start of the game and I dont understand the point of different swords. Normally in FF games, you get to a new area and buy a stronger weapon, but I have about 5 swords to choose from, all do around the same damage and none have abilities.
Not sure if it's just due to being further in the game, but every time I upgrade to a new sword it's because it has better stats. I didn't notice this early in the game. I had his fathers stuff in for a while until the gear stats exceeded it.
What do you mean? I kept having to make or buy new swords everytime I found a new merchant or everytime blacksmith got new recipes. In FF games weapons usually only have a stat increase so im confused at your point here. If a new sword has higher attack or will damage you get it! Simple as that. lol
@inthebeginning4751 I mean that normally FF games have weapons with a significant damage increase or attached abilities or effects. In 16 you have a sword that does 120 damage, can upgrade to 130 damage and then 10 minutes later you find one that does 135 damage.Or the next sword you find does less damage. It seems like a waste of time to bother upgrading and almost feels more cosmetic. I want either a worthy damage boost and an effect like deals bleed damage.
Love the video man, but seriously people if you're playing a Final Fantasy game YOU BETTER BE DOING EVERY SIDE QUEST AND EXPLORING EVERYWHERE, or your're playing it wrong, RPG Rule number 1: Talk to everyone, explore everywhere lol.
It is not open world. Once you start exploring it goes back and forth from narrow trails/pathways to big open zones. Its darker than previous final fantasy titles which normally have an upbeat high fantasy feel. The main character (starting off is a typical teen) is a full grown adult. So him being so battle hardened and skills makes much more sense than previous entries where the main protagonist is 17 or 18. Cloud from 7 pushes it since he was 21. Can't say anything about title before 7 cause I really don't know their age. Combat is much more action oriented, before it was mostly turn based, this has more of a devil may cry feel. I personally am enjoying the game, and from my opinion its feels like you're playing an action game in a ff world. Not exactly what I was looking for in this title, but really fun nonetheless.
Linear for the most part. Lots of stuff to do the further you get. Hunts and quests unlock new areas and you have the arete stone to practice combos and replay stages of the game. I'm having a blast with this masterpiece!
I had this game on my must buy list for 2023 but after playing the demo I can honestly say I won't be buying this one. I don't like the combat because it's either too easy or too spongey. I don't care about these characters and this story is mid at best. Thank God for demos!
What accessories are you using?
Check out another video with early tips and tricks here: th-cam.com/video/u0Q5SODovUA/w-d-xo.html
If you do the lunge attack using X + Square and continue to hold square, by the time the lunge attack is finished your Burning blade will be ready to go. Makes for a nice combo.
Damn, how have I not figured this out? Thanks for the tip
Same with the down trust.
I’ve been doing this 💪🏽 very effective combo followed by a eikon special move
Ame with charged magic
You can also Lunge into Triangle then use Torgals precise Slice to hold them in place for new lunge or go into air attack combo :) You also get the same burning sword after a high downthrust, that then can be combo into the same precise Sic and repeat.
the fact that we only have 3 slots is painful
Me realizing that I am only 1/3 into the game after what you just said..... EXCELLENT!!!!!!
Agreed!!! I’m not even there yet and I’m 18 hours in !
Man, this game is bringing a joy I haven't felt in a long time while playing a game!!!! Reminds me of the time we all got to play AC:Odyssey for the 1st time. How fun it was to explore!!!! 🔥
I am always excited to continue! Totally agree
@JorRaptor I just wonder why they left out leviathan???? Would have been awesome to have a water ability tree and skills. But alas this journey is breathe taking!!!! Great time to be alive, and see how this series has grown!!!!
They might add leviathan by making it as dlc. Maybe
You can drift on the chocobo by holding L2 while leaning left or right. Upon releasing L2, you'll get a boost like in Mario Kart.
Oh, just like final fantasy xv
If you change your controller to type b you can easily use changed shots with melee, including charged melee to significantly boost your damaged.
Oehh
I have been keeping the exp and gil accessories on at all times, and whatever combat one felt the best. I did the same and am glad I did. I may do another playthrough with no accessories and only the base sword equipped. Sounds interesting.
JorRaptor fighting a Raptor, nice
Basically, explore the map and do all side quests
the berserkers ring is THE BEST accessory in the game. havent finished the game but fck it, calling it now. it's just so damn good. reason being Clives regular combo is actually kinda shit. 4 hits, up to 8 if you can magic combo well (i cant) which makes sense it's all about the Eikon powers but the ring makes his regular combo into his limit break combo. not as powerful but still amazing for filling time between ability bursts.
And you can do magic burst between the combo from Berserker Ring for even more dmg.
Its not just attack magic attack magic....for example.

I'm a long time FF fan and I'm really enjoying FF16. I hope this game does well so next time Square does a action based FF it will be even better.
If you have the cait sith preorder gil item with the other item you get 60% more gil
Charged magic was never good for damage anyways, but it is good for launching enemies to combo off of
This game is so good. How would you rate it over other games this year?
One game that’s better is hogwarts legacy and it’s one every system not just PlayStation
@@nickgiannico7995hard disagree. Final fantasy is way more fun, atleast for me
@nickgiannico7995 hogwarts was a great game but after I did everything it felt like somthing was missing....
For me, it’s a solid 8/10, so far. Don’t like the combat system. I stopped playing D4 to finish this. Once I’m done the story, I’m going back to it. Having a lot more fun with that game.
The Berserker Ring is a game changer. After equiping it the first time, I have never removed it.
In the beginning I wasn't good at dodging and never used it. By midgame I was a dodge master and that accessory made my battles so much fun
I am just starting NG+ on Final Fantasy mode, do you know if the side quests will open other potion slot if I do it for a second time ?
This game is amazing, the story is great and i am happy its not ipen wold because i am so done with everything's needing to be open world. The music is on another level its crazy. Great video
It doesn’t need to be open world but the invisible wall everywhere is ridiculous. Why the hell can’t I walk across swallow water? So frustrating.
Don't waste a slot on that auto charge... Use Button Layout C and you are using the magic attack with L1 instead of triangle. You will automatically hold L1 during your combos. It's also easier to use magic burst.
Change ur controler to type C then u can constantly hold L1 for magic burst instead of triangle
Personally like type B for this exact reason holding r2 for magic the whole time
i only kept the the gil, exp and ap items on while game to make it more challenging. Game was still easy but i will def be doing ff mode soon. Its crazy all the diff builds with so many accessories and eikon combos.
Great stuff 👏 TY!
This game went way up as among my most favorite games.
I enjoyed this game way more than Elden Ring. The combat is A+.
i’m in dhalmekia can i go back and do these quests via the arete stone?
Can you stack exp items like cat saith and the one you mentioned?
I used the berserker ring throughout the entire game, its so damn strong :O
can u stack the bonus exp with pre order item?
Can I unlock stable 60fps pls :^(

Im not sure if some abilities you cant use even after unlocking until further in the game but im so confused and it's bothering me to the point of not wanting to play until i figure it out
Once you purchase the ability you should be able to change it in your 'gear and eikons' tab. You have to replace another skill with it
@@smiah3083 it wasn't letting me replace it or even showing the new skill but I reset everything and it's working now. Thank you
The “charge magic automatically” one is actually redundant if you use literally any other button configuration than A

Is there any type of postgame/endgame?
There is a harder difficultly mode with harder creatures in the world that you encounter.
I rode that thing on the thumbnail in Jedi survivor
I rode it in Assassins Creed Origin😅
None of those are secrets… just side quests and buying stuff at the shop. If you’ve played an RPG before, skip the video 😂
First, also great videos dude
Thanks a lot!
The chocobo moments make it look like it should be running way faster than it does.
I somehow missed the chocobo quest even though I was careful to do every side quest and I don't see how I can get it now. I'm very upset
Don't worry in the plus game you can get it
You can charge your abilities in the middle of a combo
There is so much ff14 in this it hurts damnit yoshi p you mad genius
Love the video man, but seriously people if you're playing a Final Fantasy game YOU BETTER BE DOING EVERY SIDE QUEST AND EXPLORING EVERYWHERE, or your're playing it wrong, RPG Rule number 1: Talk to everyone, explore everywhere lol.
Exactly.
Yo! 4:30 was a total spoiler wth man what if I wanted to see caulk n bawl on my own time in my room alone ?
Then play the game until you get there. Are you slow??
I'm only here cause I beat the story now I'm replaying fully.
TL;DR do all side quests before progressing the campaign
Just play the main and side quests . . You wont miss those items . . 😁🤙
When do you get a chocobo?
This is all nice and such, but this aint real secrets like we used to have in older FF's.
But that is on Squareenix not on JorRaptor ;)
I got $50 that JorRaptors real name is either Rasputin or Vladimir. If it's not...I'm still going with Vladimir. 😊
It's Jordan and I want my $50😂
Thought i clicked on an origins video for a sec at the start
Is this open world? What is this game 🎮 like? This looks so differently from all the others and i NEVER played one.

I'm having a blast with this masterpiece!
This is why we need more slots, so that we can use more items lol
Goty contender right here gentleman.
I’m having inconsistent frame rates in this game.
If hes not using charged magic during combos hes not playing the game right
"Secret" shhhhh
To bad it's only Playstation only won't be getting
I had this game on my must buy list for 2023 but after playing the demo I can honestly say I won't be buying this one. I don't like the combat because it's either too easy or too spongey. I don't care about these characters and this story is mid at best. Thank God for demos!
why tips and tricks for game you can finish it by pressing one button and without even looking to your tv
Did someone watch the journalist playing the game with all the assist accessories added?
You most def cannot beat this game playing 1 button without looking at your tv.
