Hello Mr. Finn thank you for your videos it's helping me a lot to know more about an engine , anyway do you have any videos regarding power steering reservoir removal coz I have issues with the steering. By the way my engine is 4A FE, thanks in advance
Thanks dude, as a succesful youtube mechanic.. ive never often found somebody who explains the nigly details! Good job! Anyone can do it with an explanation like yours. Btw what is your accent?
Please may say following: how many "pound feet" or "newton meters" should you tighten the bolts? I'm sorry but I didn't understand what you said. Thanks for your help
Hi which brand would you recommend for the alternator? i have three options: acdelco with 2 year/24k mile warranty, denso and bosch. all remanufactured. thanks!
I've a 1997 Corolla DX I changed the belt, and 2 wires broke, I butt connected the oil pressure sensor wire, although I don't know what the other wire is, it just pulled out of its connector, I pushed it back in. But I still can't figure out what the wires function is, would you happen to know? I can send a pic to you.
Hello, we are stuck in replacing the alternator. we have successfully removed the old one and we put the new one in but the timing belt will now not tighten again when we twist the bolt, is it because we still didn't twist it enough or we did something wrong?
This entire job would have been easier if the mechanic used some "PB Blaster" penetrating oil. This job could be done in 1/2 the time with some better tools. getting in tight w/ those 1/2" sockets & breaker bars he uses makes the job much harder. A set of inexpensive 1/4 " drive sockets would have made the job much easier Going through all the labor of replacing the alternator, it would be a smart move to replace the old drive belt with a new one. That would save you the labor of changing the belt later .
+4thstooge Note, the price of the belt is far less then cost of labor to install one later. doing the belt @ the same time as the alternator change costs you nothing in labor.
I haven't watched it yet, but I was thinking something must be up. 60 min video for something that took me 20 min on the last car I did it on (and I had almost NO experience back then either). Sure, it might end up taking me an hour too this time, but damn, at least give me a brief and to the point video, lol.
You Know if it wasn't for that tension thing i would have never figured out how to tighten it on, i was wondering why that front screw would not secure to anything
@@fargeeksdamn good job man. Must have been a hassle to remove without lifting up the car! I would have been swearing for hours plus and give up for a couple days till I finish it 😂😂 bravo mate
Hello sir Peter good day, i have a toyota corolla xe 94 and when i turn on the aircondition, i hear a loud noise coming from the alternator area, does this mean i have to replace the belt? and secondly how would i know if i need to replace belts?
Sorry but this doesn't cover Corolla's after 1998. My Corolla is a 1998 model with the 4E-FE engine which is newer than the 4A-FE. The alternator is behind the engine, and it's horrible to get off. I'm struggling to do it as it's in a really inaccessible place.
After watching your video today, I successfully changed the alternator for my Corolla 95. Thank you for your videos!
Good and Thanks for feedback. :-)

Thanks, noted 👍😃
Muy bueno gracias pero mucha platica, debería de ser mas rápida la explicacion
Hi and Thanks for your comment. :-)
does anybody know the size of the bolts to the alternator
Hi, they are Toyota special bolts. Please visit Toyota dealer. Bolt costs about 5 to 10 US$ LINK th-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=P0Jn9Qw17HM
This has got to be a joke.

Hehe, I knew it. :-)
