I had the privilege of getting to know Suze and the band. They recorded their first album in the town I bartended in, in New York. They were in the bar every night after recording, drinking Margaritas. Yes there were many late nights.
They kept in touch, and after their tour with Van Halen, invited us to a show in NYC as their guests and presented us with CD's which had a thank you for us at the bar in the liner notes. Really good people! Yes Suze was yummy!

I seen this band support Bryan Adams in the 90s and thought they were gonna be huge.....brilliant songs,great musicians and a lead singer who is just incredible....but nothing!......im baffled why they arent playing arenas around the world!

Not really, Aussie music was in its Golden age in the 70s and 80s , by 92 / 93 it was on life support.
The tides were turning and hip hop and R&B became the biggest thing.
Then of course pubs and clubs in Australia put in the pokies and overnight the Pub Rock scene that defined Aussie music was over.
There were a handful of Aussie bands that had mild success but nothing like the 70s or 80s .
I was in front of the legislation band 3 times stage diving....
Woke up early fell in love.

This is a go to song when playing Aussie classics. This band was, and still is, a staple band, when I am introducing my younger friends to the best music of my generation.

big fan so am I you am I a few or so years ago they did a concert at Parramatta Park (at no cost)it was raining and muddy the floor platforms lol mud through the wholes they should have given us a Early Warning I had One Word for them Nice chucked a piss in the loo no massive line up it was Painless !

They were ahead of their time, first album full of original Aussie rock classics, then their Shaved & Dangerous 2nd album; more experimental but awesome all the same.

I heard about them only because of the Nuno Bettencourt connection, but I just can't believe they never made it big outside Australia. The only thing I can think of is that the '90s were the Grunge Era, and this was a very polished, straightahead rock band with an attractive frontwoman. It's too bad they weren't around in the '80s because Suze would have fit in perfectly with the women rockers of the '80s (Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, the Wilson sisters of Heart, Maria McKee, and others).
Saw her two years ago, still looks the same, voice is still awesome
