- Playing the Okumura fight in persona 5 royal for the 1st time on hard mode. It was ruthless, I spend almost 5 hours learning and thinking strats on how to beat him. Probably the most frustrating and most fun boss fight in the game. -- Watch live at / broqrox
This took me 3 tries. I played the original and didn't remember it was that hard. Glad to know I wasn't the only one.
It became rather harder in Royal version. I managed to pass it only on merciless difficulty.
I level grinded a bit.
Same only took me 3 tries probably cause I had the right team and I knew what expect on my the first two attempts
The first boss in the game that requires you to actually think about the mechanics and plan your strats
No it doenst, it removes game mechanics just to be "hard" its bs
I was so oveleveled that it was a breeze
How the fuck-
As long as you aren’t ass with building your personas, than this is a cake walk. Fusion alarms + network fusions right before this boss fight make it a cakewalk on hard difficulty.
I had to switch from hard to normal to beat this boss. Those green robots were annoying
They’re these huge hulking pussies and I fucking hate them
My first play through was on easy because this was my first persona game and this fight was still a pain in the ass
I had to switch to merciless just for enough weakness damage. Not to mention THAT puzzle before this as well. This whole palace was a nightmare, but im hoping the next one will be better (im actually in my first play through so i dont know what itll be :))

i almost beat it once and had literally just enough time for haru to self destruct left but futaba had to use a buff and ate the last moments of my time
that's why i keep saying that futaba is very usseles sometimes

After over 6 attempts I just had to call it a day and turn the game off 😭 this boss fight is aggravating and the green robots continuously popping up makes it even worse. Just gonna have to suck it up and switch to easy mode for this fight 🚶🏾♀️🚶🏾♀️

@@rajaganduri-sz3xvIt's because you're also amped up with power along with the workers, so you would be able to defeat the first few batches of them much easier and faster. Just be careful with the big black robot as the Big Bang move could almost kill you, causing you to start all over again from the beginning.

Nice run. 👍 It helped me, i gave up after 5 tries. I've rolled on the palace regular shadows and mid boss, but this boss is so much above his minion that it felted almost unbalanced.
Each times thoses god damn green robots kill me, lacking of damage, then when i finallt killed them by luck, big bang attack finishes me...
Leader level 46 wasn't enuff, i had to "cheat" and fuse lv 55 persona and paid extra to Igor to win this fight. Picaro tsukiyomi and raja naga carried.

An easier way to do this boss fight is change to merciless difficulty as more damage is dealt. Also, keep a handful of those Magatama items and Baton Pass and ensure the last person you Baton Pass to does the finishing blow in one shot.

Dude this whole game was not really an issue for me on hard mode since I’d played SMT games before and then this shit comes at me. I feel like I’m playing Nocturne all of a sudden.
Boy Ann was a badass surviving not only the big bang order but the self destruct explosion too.
This is the worst boss I've faced in ages. I'm on my 5th attempt and still no success. This is complete BULLSHIT, as there are no options for all out attacks. Seriously, horrible game design here!!!
...... You can't all out attack during boss fights. Seriously dude, all the enemies have weaknesses that you and your party can easily cover. This fight removes the easy button and asks you to actually think out your moves. You aren't gonna lose to the timer unless you waste a LOT of time, so just calm down and think.

@@joshuafoote5144 I was able to beat it on my 7th try long ago. The rest of the game was absolutely amazing which made up for this crappy boss. To this day this is my favorite game of all time.

I somehow managed in hard on my first time, i was on my second ng+ though, so i was well overprepared. I thought i was going to get wiped out 😂😭😭

This fight on hard mode is like matador on normal in SMT3.
You can have all the right tools, but the fight will draw it and kill you for one mistake
I find doing this boss on merciless can help. Even though you take a lot more damage you can also deal more damage to the robots
So, the single-target attacks are actually good in the end, since they allow to attack the enemy more times. I shall try it again and hopefully beat this boss after 4 hours of dying over and over again.
Finished my first run yesterday in hard mode completly blind. My god this boss and the last one were a pain in the ass.
Happy to know I’ll have an hard time with that amazing music (final boss of P5R)

congrats to all that hard work, i tried doing it on hard but had to go to merciless for that 3x tech damage, congrats again, I think its all about using the baton passes for extra damage it took me hours aswell
This battle made me want to break my PS4 after how long this fuckin took.
This fight is actually so easy man (at least on normal mode)
What I did was:
1- crafted every elemental hitting items I could, so every member was able to hit every enemies weaknesses, and baton pass to the next, so it could end on an member that had an AoE attack
2- Buffs and debuffs of course
And that was it, I've finished on a good time and never a single party member died. Btw, my team was Haru, Ryuji and Morgana

This isn't even that hard tbf, I beat it with good planning (and also a psy boost item on joker) with a 150% hp mod on hard difficulty and being ~3 levels behind the boss
The game literally punishes you for playing on hard mode. Fuck this boss and the mechanics. About to quit my new game plus run I refuse to change the difficulty or use cheese dlc persona. This is what I get for wanting a challenge? Horrible game design for this particular boss. Also not understanding how the green robots in your video are not only not self destructing but they aren't fleeing either. They flee for me every time after only 2 turns it makes no sense.
i just made it to him on my first playthrough on hard and i would honestly just say drop the difficulty to normal. the fight on hard is literally made to be unfair so dont feel bad about lowering difficulty and save hours of rng and bashing your head against a wall

As I just beat the original less than a year ago on the hard difficulty, I opted to platinum Royal on easy so I can just enjoy and relax with the additional gameplay, characters and features.
Little did I know what was to come. The boss difficulty literally came out of nowhere and even on easy, it went down to the last 45 seconds before I eventually got the prick.
You know it’s a bullshit boss when the easy difficulty for the general game can still present as a challenge if you aren’t careful.
Easy difficulty actually doesn't directly increase damage dealt compared to Normal, so I can kind of see how someone can be caught off guard here.

I stubbornly try to beat the boss in hard and is a pain in the ass.. the phase 6 solo big guy just oneshoted me.. trying on merciless and is a breeze.
How did you get Eiga on Morgana, the Psy DMG from the girl and Curse damage from joker isn't enough. If I had Morgana maybe. The technical DMG really isn't helping I'm on normal.
There are accessories that grant certain abilities to any character that wears that accessory. You can get them through the Electric Chair in the Velvet Room or, I think, some of them are rings bought in Shibuya Underground.

I really had to use the elemental items and baton pass for this fight.
This is the definition of a luck based boss
You could just aim at all 3 enemies with magic that hits single target but leave the last one alive, use baton to a character that has their weakness, use AOE. Much more optimal because you can get 1 more as long as there's an enemy to knock down. This fight was okay ish for me, didn't felt the need to lower difficulty

What terrible boss design. Not even Nocturne throws so much concentrated bullshit at you so quickly. Mot gaining press turns nearly indefinitely is one thing, but infinite spawning mobs that basically self-heal unless you meet a specific kill condition through TWO SINGLE TURNS with damage that is essentially not possible to have high enough without Matarunda by the 4th wave-you can’t beat this boss without strategically minmaxing. The worst part is the one enemy that gets Rakunda in the last wave is the ONLY one that is left standing every time you fail the kill confirm. Fuck man, this boss fight made me mad.
There’s no flexibility with the type of builds you can have and even on Easy mode, if you aren’t either severely overeleveled or have otherwise minmaxed your team to shit, you just don’t stand a reasonable chance.
Is this new game plus how can you baton pass to Noir?
In Royal the baton pass mechanic was reworked. They even added Baton Pass Ranks to spice up some extra damage

@@blodbeast it’s a enhanced addition with new confidants, updates gameplay, and even a new palace and 30* hours of new content that takes place after the game slams it’s really good you should check it out

Took me about 4 tries, just get off as many baton passes as you can. Use items if you have to

This is my first “difficult” RPG and I had to use izanagi no okami picaro on easy mode to win, and even that didn’t make it much easier
How did you get the DLC if it’s your first playthrough? I thought you needed a Persona 5 save to get the DLC…
This was really the easiest fight in the game. Level up Harus Baton Pass at Darts before the day you send the calling card. Use Psy Magatmas with your other party members to Baton Pass to her last so her attacks maxed out. Mapsio the 4th Bot. Mapsio again. Finish them off with Triple Down persona or Any Technical ability. For Morganas Bots. You should Garula 3 and then Magarula the 4th so you get 2 Magarulas and 3 Garulas rather than 2 Magarulas.

Honestly just get a good persona for joker that knows either maegon or mapsiodyne and you’re set

All these people complaining about the difficulty.... I did this fight on hard, and it took me exactly 3 tries to do this fight. I didn't know what to do the first time, and died, and I used the second time to learn what I needed to learn. Finished the fight the 3rd time with 18 minutes to spare.... How is this so difficult for you guys?

@@renhardhalim you learn the weaknesses before hand, the enemies you face are the mini bosses of the dungeon.
I did it first try. I dont get why people thought it was hard either. I used the items to batton pass to each other and looked up their weakness and won with very little trouble. Easy as original tbh
I get losing to him once, but 6 hours? He wasn't THAT hard.
I found him a little hard but he was pretty manageable once I figured out Ann could use Dekaja.
