@Shosholegbt yeah but Joker is the leader and kinda help bring out all there persona's if he didn't like implied in this ending the others probably weren't much help
For me, the worst of it comes out of the first Palace failure. Not only is our bro Ryuji kicked out of school, that also means that ass Kamoshida gets to keep on preying on Ann, as well as being a prick to everybody! Man, that's harsh!
...Point made. Actually makes it a relief that those things never happened.(If they did, you probably wouldn't have been able to create the plan to draw out the Traitor.)
More like if the first scenario happened, Ann and ryuji would have lived badly and so does yosuke, morgana becomes a stray, hamburger dad still dies and haru gets married to that perv guy, makoto never really gets anything bad or good, because principle would never force to look for the phantom thieves
i didn't even know snitching out your friends would cause a bad ending... i just didn't do it because it didn't feel right to sacrifice all of them to save my ass
Usually if there’s two similar options and one different option, either of the similar options are best in this game. So I kinda figured that same logic applied in this case. Kamoshida, Kaneshiro, and Futaba endings are probably the most brutal in terms of your companions and the consequences before them, even Haru's since they revealed the disgusting nature of her arranged fiance.
InanimateSum Good thing they do not actually happen, since you must have succeded by dafault up until 11/20. These are just what Joker's mind produces as a fake memory since it cannot remember actually what happened later. Basically what Joker think that would most likely have happened. Most likely what he fears what could have happened. Bad news - in reality, you just fail to convince Sae to help you trick Akechi, who murders you.
I think that last bad ending is the best one in any persona game. You literally make a deal with a mad god to keep living your own fantasy and pumping up your ego forever. Really fitting for the story.
"Unbeknownst to thee the name of the thief" But you still get that after you find out about Akechi Which means…! It was talking about someone else The person who stole IGOR's IDENTITY
Well yeah, it's pretty easy to forget that the reason you were granted the power of Persona was not to use it to change the hearts of rapist teachers, mafia bosses, and politicians, but rather to oppose the malevolent god who suppressed Igor, stole his identity, split Lavenza into Caroline & Justine, and has a stranglehold over all cognition, since it's never really even mildly addressed until just moments before you make the deal with the False Igor.
I love how he scolds you and sounds sharper in Kamoshida's bad ending, but as it goes on, he ends up with a softer tone, and even actively asks "Don't you have the wrong guy?" as Joker's taken into custody. Even in the scenes most people'd never see, there's nice details like that.
@AntiHeroVisions like in smt 4a? Like, you fight your former friends while they are stunned by your change of heart (joke unintended)? It would have been quite cool
So the bad ending means Joker turned away from his Ideals “Do what you think is right despite being a labeled” To his new formed distorted desire to be Acknowledged by Society as the True heroes of Justice, Dang good thing I rebelled against fake Igor when he wanted to execute me
To betray not only his core principles but also his friends, confidants, those who geniunely believed in him...all to get even at undeserving masses ....Ren is gone and he became Akechi 2.0 instead
Ngl, Joker being way more efficient alone give me chills, Make Akechi and Joker a duo and those two mf are clearing every palace in the span of a month
Mac Cheesey Good thing it never actually happens, as you just tell a story up until 11/20. This is what Joker's mind on drugs produces in form of fake memory serving as conclusion since it cannot provide an actual memory. This is basically what Joker thinks it would have happened. In reality it is the same ending as selling out - you fail to trick Akechi and he murders you.
It actually took me a few times to notice since I assumed the scene was just being looped with the game using the exact same lines every time, but whenever Sojiro offers coffee to Joker at the start of each bad ending, it's actually in a different tone each time, showing his changing views of Joker over time.
Yeah I almost got that one, lol. Thought I was supposed to be honest with Sae... But when the game gave me the chance to rethink I knew I wasn't supposed to do that. In hindsight it was a pretty stupid decision since all she promised me was to get me out of the death penalty.
I didn't...my first playthrough I accepted igors deal like an absolute idiot. Made me depressed bc I had put hours upon hours into the game and got a disappointing ending. I had to replay it. I just couldn't live with that ending
Anyone notice that specifically at 21:58 when the frame widens Joker seemingly disappears and although some could say that he continued walking I feel like that maybe him disappearing shows that he still has a connection to the metaverse and thus as part of his deal with the demiurge he retains his power so he continues to change the hearts of criminals with or without the help of the other thieves who are probably still in the cells of the Velvet room.

If Sojiro says the line "Hey, coffee good for you?" You know it's a bad ending.
THAT is why I prefer Cream Soda lol
Sojiro) coffee good for yo-
Akira) No! Not. Another. EFFING. Coffee.
Me: Not a coffee, a cream soda if you have some behind the bar? *Runs out of LeBlanc while he's searching*
For me, the worst of it comes out of the first Palace failure. Not only is our bro Ryuji kicked out of school, that also means that ass Kamoshida gets to keep on preying on Ann, as well as being a prick to everybody! Man, that's harsh!
GrndCruz What about the third? Makoto basically gets drugged and raped while calling your name for help
*shudders*
...Point made. Actually makes it a relief that those things never happened.(If they did, you probably wouldn't have been able to create the plan to draw out the Traitor.)
GrndCruz Indeed. Hell, your friends would probably leave you for letting things like that happen.
So glad they're just Akira remembering wrong
More like if the first scenario happened, Ann and ryuji would have lived badly and so does yosuke, morgana becomes a stray, hamburger dad still dies and haru gets married to that perv guy, makoto never really gets anything bad or good, because principle would never force to look for the phantom thieves
Persona Juice Holy shit I didn't realize it was Makoto ohNo
1:32 - After completing the game, and never failing a deadline, it hurt to hear Sojiro's disappointment like that.
i didn't even know snitching out your friends would cause a bad ending... i just didn't do it because it didn't feel right to sacrifice all of them to save my ass
I never snitched on them, because "Snitches get stitches" as they say
Usually if there’s two similar options and one different option, either of the similar options are best in this game. So I kinda figured that same logic applied in this case. Even if I didn’t think about it like that, obviously a game about righteous thieves who are all close friends wouldn’t have you sell them out
@@fierytigergaming8112 snitches get shot by anime boys

The last ending felt like more of a cop-out than a bad end, per se. Kinda like you just walked out and said "I'm outta here!" and left it unfinished.
James Baker and everyone he knows and fought with is basically dead and erased from the world
That last one is kinda the equivalent of the accomplice ending in Golden
That's pretty much what it is. Instead of fighting and seeing his journey through to the end, he just makes a deal and takes the easy way out
For teh evulz...except Joker doesn't have to worry about being blackmailed like Narukame did -and besides they had to give Joker a sexy smirk somehow, right?-
it's a evil ending. You basically take the place of Akechi as Yaldabaoth's chosen one, spreading his control to the whole world.
I feel bad for the MC when he exposes his friends after Sae walks out of the room. You can tell even he feels like he made the wrong choice
Oh yes, you can see it on his face and in his eyes, gah, this game made me cry so much!

It wouldn't be SMT-like without some majorly fucked up bad endings.
No seriously, it wouldn't be. Seeing the consequences of your actions is truly something else.
They dropped smt from the title back in p4g
I still have memories of the chaos ending in SMT IV. That was particularly violent.
I've never finished a SMT game (i nearly finished Devil Survivor). I think i have some kind of curse or something, but people keeps telling me that even the good endings are really messed up ¿Is that true?

It’s chilling how the “Deal with Yaldaboath” ending plays the Mementos Depths music. It’s as if you changed everything, while keeping everything the same
The way the only sounds are the coffee brewing and the clock creeps me out. If I'm really in a panic RL usually I start paying attention to all the meaningless little sounds too. It's in his head, but hyperventilating and being shot isn't much better either :P.
Also, the final bad ending is pretty close to death note, perhaps creepier in a way..
wouterW24 What Would Light Yagami do?
You know, Akechi really does remind me a lot of Light. Apparently not just in looks, because it's just the same character with a different power
@@cosplayingchao I thought the same thing.
@@cosplayingchao Light never wanted revenge per se tho.

The kaneshiro bad ending is really dark when you realize the highschool student is makoto
Thankfully it doesn't actually happen, it's just what Joker believes would've happened otherwise
It would have been dark even if it wasnt Makoto.... I mean getting drugged and turned into a prostitute against your will sucks no matter who you ask
@@NazoKG OHHH so that's why it's all hazy and stuff! It's all in his head.. Then it gives you the option to take you back the week prior. I never realized that haha
Dang, you even get punished with the boring credits for accepting Yaldebaoth's deal.
Omega Rasuto
*we have come to bargain*
Kamoshida, Kaneshiro, and Futaba endings are probably the most brutal in terms of your companions and the consequences before them, even Haru's since they revealed the disgusting nature of her arranged fiance.
InanimateSum But what about for Madarame, Yusuke pretty much is a slave and probably killed himself since the game pretty much hinted it a bit.
Makoto gets raped and turned into a drug addict in Kaneshiro's bad ending.
I forgot to mention that one my bad, the description of her's was hard to swallow
Yeah, it's definetely the worst fate, even considering that Futaba likely commited suicide at some point.
I’m too paranoid to not complete palaces lmao
Those bad endings for when you screw up actually freak me out and make my skin crawl
I cried when akechi kun killed akira.. I went into mega depresso for weeks..
I think that last bad ending is the best one in any persona game. You literally make a deal with a mad god to keep living your own fantasy and pumping up your ego forever. Really fitting for the story.
Especially since it emphasizes the fact that you're not the Trickster, but you become the new Trickster after Akechi; you become Akechi's replacement.
"Hey."
*King Crimson time skip*
"Coffee good for you?"
"Unbeknownst to thee the name of the thief"
But you still get that after you find out about Akechi
Which means…!
It was talking about someone else
The person who stole IGOR's IDENTITY
Well yeah, it's pretty easy to forget that the reason you were granted the power of Persona was not to use it to change the hearts of rapist teachers, mafia bosses, and politicians, but rather to oppose the malevolent god who suppressed Igor, stole his identity, split Lavenza into Caroline & Justine, and has a stranglehold over all cognition, since it's never really even mildly addressed until just moments before you make the deal with the False Igor.
@@CenturyBlade It really makes for an excellent twist
Coffee sounds great, thanks.
“Hey your finally awake, you were trying to cross the border right?
This jokes always gets me, lmao.
I love how he scolds you and sounds sharper in Kamoshida's bad ending, but as it goes on, he ends up with a softer tone, and even actively asks "Don't you have the wrong guy?" as Joker's taken into custody. Even in the scenes most people'd never see, there's nice details like that.
Akechi reminds me of Light >_>

7:22 While things may look dire for Joker, let's take the time to appreciate the Rise poster to the left on the wall.
"COFFEE GOOD FOR YOU" nah I'll take tea.
Would be something if joker actually gets a palace himself if you chose to make the deal
The last ending really makes you feel creeped out well for me at least
I love the music but it really feels like a heart beating slowly, like dying or just in a deep coma.
It would have been interesting if the deal with the God of Control led to a different final boss. Like Igor or something like that.
@AntiHeroVisions like in smt 4a? Like, you fight your former friends while they are stunned by your change of heart (joke unintended)? It would have been quite cool
@@Khint yeah, that would've been cool.
But they were already locked up.

"Champ Overdrive(my character name). That is your name, yes?"
*"Hey..."*

Sojiro, later fails: Not my boy! Let him finish his coffee! 😔
So I'm dying again at 13:12, because those bruises looked like a blush to me ("omg akechi so cool
Same here. I got this ending thinking it was the right thing to do.
Man, nothing stings more than Sojiro calling you a dissapointment... I'm sorry dad...
So the bad ending means Joker turned away from his Ideals “Do what you think is right despite being a labeled” To his new formed distorted desire to be Acknowledged by Society as the True heroes of Justice, Dang good thing I rebelled against fake Igor when he wanted to execute me
Hanzo Shimada yep bad ending Joker turned into a douchbag
To betray not only his core principles but also his friends, confidants, those who geniunely believed in him...all to get even at undeserving masses
....Ren is gone and he became Akechi 2.0 instead
Ngl, Joker being way more efficient alone give me chills, Make Akechi and Joker a duo and those two mf are clearing every palace in the span of a month
BREAKING: High school boy makes deal with false God to stop talking cat from enforcing his bedtime.
Lol bro YES FRICKING MORGANA, NOT LETTING YOU LEAVE lol😂😂
Whenever the edges go white, it’s because the drugs are messing with your memory, and that’s neat
19:14 YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! It was said that you would destroy yaldaboth not join him! Bring balance to cognition, not leave it in distortion!
6:37 Got to admit that was funny, he just got blown back, No hole in his forehead
😂😂😂
Yo thinking about Makoto in that third bad ending has got me fucked up.
Mac Cheesey same man
Mac Cheesey
Good thing it never actually happens, as you just tell a story up until 11/20. This is what Joker's mind on drugs produces in form of fake memory serving as conclusion since it cannot provide an actual memory. This is basically what Joker thinks it would have happened.
In reality it is the same ending as selling out - you fail to trick Akechi and he murders you.
Yummy
No Sojiro, coffee is not good for me.
Jesus Christ, Makoto's fate in Kaneshiro's bad ending is just horrifying.
Sojiro becomes more nice to you as the game overs go on.
I really like that.
It actually took me a few times to notice since I assumed the scene was just being looped with the game using the exact same lines every time, but whenever Sojiro offers coffee to Joker at the start of each bad ending, it's actually in a different tone each time, showing his changing views of Joker over time.
I love how Sojiro's voice tone changes in every scene....they didn't just copy and paste it, they re-recorded everytime !
I didn't even know there was a bad ending.. Guess i got lucky
What did you think would happen if you sold out your friends or took Yaldabaoth's deal? lol
Missing out the deadlines also triggers a bad ending.
CidGuerreiro1234 i know that, i was talking about the "selling out your friends" bad ending
I couldn't bring myself to betray Lavenza and spol
The last bad ending creeped me out, I’m probably never going to sleep on Christmas Eve ever again.
13:00
When you didn't do the homework that the teacher is actually putting in for a quiz/test grade
