I stopped watching Unbox Therapy when they changed locations. Lew definitely thinks he’s the best unboxing video on the platform and honestly I’ve found toy reviewers that give package reviews that are much more interesting. On top of that, I have no doubt, and will always support that MKBHD is the best tech reviewer on the planet.

Unbox Therapy and Lew Later are mainly a product of entertainment, nobody should form its own opinion exclusively from one source anyway. What I meant to say is that I don't know where the truth is, but even if he staged that particular time that's not the end of the world since the vaste majority, if not totality at some point in time, of the the channels eventually create scenarios to justify a narrative they want to tell SO I think most of the rage (I've read and heard the absurd about him) is unjustified.

His whole channel was built upon a scam. During his channel's early days, he scammed people to subscribe by pretending to give away truck load of iphones and he gave away like 3 of them.

The scam is they dont send you a phone. How is that the fault of someone endorsing the product? Unless you have a shred of evidence even pointing in the direction that any promoting it did so while knowing the parent company was not shipping phones but taking in customers money.
What I will never understand how a 10 minute video causes people to be so close minded and ignorant as to how the world works, or what the requirements are in order to be “scamming people”

I already watched another Tech Channel dissect that phone.
Basically, they take like 100 Samsung Fold phones that are worth way more, slap a really ugly fake gold skin on the back of it and then sell it to you as an Escobar phone. They sell them for cheaper than a Samsung Fold because they'll never actually deliver the product to you. They only deliver the product to influencers to talk good about it and how cheap it is, then proceed to fuck off with your money and bring out an Escobar 3, Escobar 4, Escobar 5, whatever suits their mood.
They are scammers and should have their hands cut off and their teeth drilled open to expose the nerves to salt water.
