I wonder why I started to get apocalyptic dreams lately.
Us millenials were merely the harbingers. We were the warning shot that parents ignored. Many of us at least understood what life was like before social media, even if it corrupted many of us, as it did the boomers. But Gen Z... They are the true monster, born entirely in the age of social media. Where much of their reason for being hinges on the likes they get on tik tok, or Facebook.
This is why fucked up ideologies and megacorporations try so hard to get them young. Because, if you're thinking long term, there's no point going after the older folk. If you can snag the up and coming generation, and normalize whatever you're trying to sell them. You've essentially just shifted things in your favor, and the older generations, as well as a few rebels, have to somehow convince people who think this way of doing things is normal.
