Acer Garnet Maple bonsai design with customer.

Maple trees are popular this time of year as they are sprouting new leaves. In this video, we have a customer who wanted to take one of our maple nursery stocks and upgrade it into a proper bonsai container.
Robert presented different ways to upgrade the tree and encourage the customer to choose what they feel is best. Robert then helps by explaining every step of the process.
It's incredible to see how some pruning, styling, and repositioning can dramatically change the beauty of this tree. Watch and follow along on this transformation journey.

Is it safe to use moss from very old big leaf maple trees to put on the soil of bonsai trees?

As long as the maple is healthy, then yes. With moss, just be mindful about how it's placed because it can sometimes block/absorb water if they're very thick. You don't want to cover the soil in a way where water can't pass thru.
