THIS BLACK SPRUCE BONSAI WAS SO BAD! Rescuing and upgrading a severely neglected bonsai.

A customer brought in their neighbor's Black Spruce bonsai that was severely neglected. We've never seen a repotting attempt done like this and we were flabbergasted and what we found. Robert has been working with bonsai trees for over 40 years and this was the first encounter with this madness.
This tree still needs several years of training before unlocking it's full potential, but this is step one of this long journey. We will continue to post updates on this tree in the future.

It seems that the person who put the broken pot into the bigger pot was intent on saving the tree, then later, forgot that the broken pot was still in place. Thank goodness the owner brought this tree to you. It seems the tree will need a lot of attention to keep it happy. This attention will aid the tree and the owner with many years of joy, improved health, and beauty.
