That was a very full and fine day! I used to use those crab loop things at Westport. They were an effective way to get out away from the piers when crabbing was good and people heard about it, crowding the piers, or in a tournament. Low water conditions make salmon fishing tough, with few targets available. Just thinking about a crab boil had me looking around in the shed, making sure all my stuff was there for a trip to the beach. Great video!
That’s awesome!! Sometimes when I watch videos of people on TH-cam, it gets me motivated to get out there even if it’s something I already know what to do, just watching makes me wanna go
I was walking those same rocks on Saturday checking things out myself lol. Saw a couple coho roll a little further down river but couldn't get anything to bite. Once the rain hits it's game on.
Haven't tried crabbing yet, just got my regular licence for freshwater so I think I may give it a shot next year. Man I was hoping you had a bobber down on each drift. That is some low water. Pray for rain and the B run to come up!
Next time you want to crab snare let me know.
I make snares and have some tips for you to help reel in the keepers...
Great adventure!
Thanks for watching and thank you for any tips! I’ll be going back out there regularly.
Catch and boil a crab all in the same day. Very FUN and delicious
Thanks Nita!! I was trying to get a keeper. It’ll happen soon!!!!
The snares are pretty cool. That would be really fun to try. That river was really low. Definitely fun to try new stuff.
I’m thinking about planning a Durasnare crabbing get together. Not sure when tho
I use to use a spinner call the alsea bullet that was twenty five years ago. I need to look to see if I have any laying around
Some one Oz spinners would be good

Awesome adventure Brian! Thank you for sharing with us. Looking forward with crabbing with you soon!
Thank you for checking it out, I’m looking forward to doing more of this because it was so much fun

I sure hope so!! It needs a foot of water depth to get me stoked
@AutomagicFishing at the very least lol. Even tho it's a late season I think it'll be a good one. I'm hopeful anyway
Beautiful day
It’s nice to have these that are just gorgeous out
We need a members only event like that, Brian.
I’m thinking that too!
I was actually thinking about setting up something
Love this! Perseverance is bliss
Thanks!! 😊

It’s an awesome moment when you briskly lift up your downed bobber and the river bottom lights up with a big bodied 20 pounder
We need rain and those slot will be full of fish
I agree!!
Great video, looks like a great day
Epic day even though I didn’t get any take home catches
@@AutomagicFishing exactly what I was thinking! Any day out in the beauty of nature is an awesome day
Very earie looking, critter discover area.
There is a yard I drive by regularly that has a Bigfoot silhouette.
It always reminds me of that story you guys told me
Was just there.. did the boat with Crab did OK..
That’s awesome 😎 UTAH!!
How many keepers did you get?!?!
Nope not long enough soak
I didn’t show that I had to re-bait twice in that hour of crabbing
