All of these transfers were great, but if you see what Ronaldo achieved with Real Madrid closely, you will know how much important he was to the club. Before he came, Madrid had one 9 UCLs but had not won in eight seasons. They were getting eliminated in UCL at ro16 or quarters. After he came, he began to take them to semis singlehandedly. He came to Madrid, in Barcelona's era. Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Pep Guardiola were the key reasons Barca were succeeding. Whereas Ronaldo was the only standout performer in Real Madrid. Till 2012, Barca had 4 UCLs and Ronaldo had 1. When he left in 2018, both Ronaldo and Barca had 5 UCLs. Europe went from Barca's dominance to Ronaldo's dominance. He only won 2 La Ligas but was still a great signing from the League perspective. He became the club's highest goalscorer in just 6-7 years breaking the record set by Raul. 450 goals in 438 games. Some of the greatest players can't have 450 g+a in 438 games. Winning 16 trophies in 9 years and cementing Madrid's legacy was done well by Ronaldo.

I could not say it better myself, ronaldo change the tide of football like a celestrial body in the sky, i cannot fully describe how impactful if was, theres not a better transfer in football history than ronaldo 9 years at real madrid, messi would never have been as good as he became if ronaldo wasn't there facing him week in and out, people always try rewrite history like we weren't watching what was happening ourself, the greatest barca team of all time ronaldo had to face as the stand out player, and look at it , 21 goal and assist vs barcelona, some 30+ g/a vs atletico madrid, multiple laliga player of the season in 2010,12, and 2017, the reason why real madrid can call themselves 15 time UCL champions today is because ronaldo spend 9 seasons there, and im not gonna say its cristiano alone, ronaldo returned a culture to real madrid that was missing for years, returned the identity of real madrid as royalty in my opinion real madrids greatest ever player

Considering the world record fee and Real had most of their success after arrival of others like Modric and Bale, CR7 to real isn't the best transfer of all time. I reckon it won't even surpass any entries in this list. That transfer was instrumental for Ronaldo far more compared to the club.

Ronaldo to real madrid? He broke every record imaginable and won everything at real madrid. His 9 years at real are the reason he is considered one of the best players of all time
I'd like to think Ibra to Inter was a pretty glorious transfer too, hell Ibra in any of his trasfers would be a serious contender. But going from Milan to Inter has got to be both a huge shift in the power dynamic at the San Siro and also changed Seria A.

Cristiano to Real Madrid is THE BEST transfer in European club and possibly the world history.
Not a single mention of Real Madrid who are the kings of transfers.
Their midfield last year, arguably the best trio in the history of the game cost them under 70M, ( Im including Valverde due to his time at the club and meteoric rise in the last few years)
Casemiro cost 6M, Valverde 5M, Modric 30M, Kroos 25M. Those 4 players combined cost 66M. Real Madrids sale of Casemiro to ManU, for 71M +15M in possible add ons, offset the cost of these 4 transfers and will leave close to 10M in extra revenue, all this after RM enjoying a close to a decade of their best football.
In my opinion Casemiro is arguably the best transfer ever, if you consider the results obtained on the field, and economically.
I can easily mention 10 Real Madrid transfers that could have made this list by the examples chosen.
Which personally I think was lazily put, focusing on the too much on the PL.
Here is a good example why I say this.
If Henry makes the top 3 in the list costing 11M, scoring 223 G in 376 GP for Arsenal, then I belive H. SANCHEZ deserves at least a mention, he cost 1.2M, he won the golden boot, 4 consequitive Pichichis, he scored 253G in 283 GP, that's 30 more goals than Henry having played 94 fewer games.
The only reason he didn't receive at least one Ballon Dor for a few of his seasons in RM is due to that only Europeans were elegible for the trophy at that period in time.
PUSKAS - came to RM for free when he was 31, he couldn't find a team in Europe that wanted him, he even said in a later interview that ManU amongst a few other teams told him he was too old, fat, and not good enough. He ended in RM for free were he won 3 CL and scored 157G in 182 games. Winning 3CL, 5 leagues, and was top league scorer 4 times.
R.VARANE - cost 11 M, sold for 40M leavin 10 years of the his best football in the Bernabeu, and 30M.
MARCELO - cost 6M became one of the best attacking LB in the history of the game, played 15 years at a high level with 25 trophies under his belt.
S. RAMOS - 25M one of the best CB in the history of the game. 5CL, and scored over 120 G, at the moment ranked 4th alltime amongst defenders.
F. HIERRO - cost 800 k , played 14 years at RM, won 3 CL, incredible defender but also had alot of danger infront of goall, reason he ended his career and is currently the second all time scorer amongst defence with 163 G only behind Koeman.
CR 7 - I don't have to say much here they bought him for 94M sold him for 117M, that's 23M in profit after having played his best football and averaging a goal per game for RM over his 9 years there.
DiSTEFANO - he cost 24K, scored 269G in 354 GP for RM, were he won 2 Balon Dor, 5 Champions (2 times runner up) , 8 leagues.
He was was dominant all over the field, what alot of people don't know due to the little footage available is that he played free all over the field his defensive skills were as good as his offense. He was the total player.
BENZEMA - 35M, 14 years later he is playing some of his best football. Current Ballon Dor, 5 CL. 4th all time scorer in CL only behind , CR, Messi, and R. Lewandowski.
R. CARLOS- he spent 10 years in RM, a unique player that revolucioniced the LB position with his pace, shot power, and offensive skills. To many the best LB that ever existed cost RM only 6M.
Its weird not a single Real Madrid mention with the history they have in finding and developing that talent. 🤔
Obvs Aguero was a crucial transfer, but if you mean greatest in terms of bargains I’d have maybe said Kompany for Man City. I don’t think he cost much, and went on to be the captain and a brilliant centre back.

Johan Cruijff is not just the most influential player of Barcelona, he is the most influential player to ever exist. Most clubs play the game in the way that they do, because of his influence. If not for him, all of the other so called best players that came after him would not have been as influential as they are this day. In my eyes, that is a lot harder to achieve than winning a world cup, which should grand Johan Cruijff the title of the GOAT.

Dalglish and cruyff over CR7. Dalglish made more impact to Liverpool than CR7 did to United, winning multiple league titles, fa cups and ucls over the span of 2 decades. CR7 on the other hand only stayed at United for 5 years and as good as he may have been, he was better at la Liga and dalglish was a machine in Liverpool and cruyff speaks for himself with the legacy he creates everywhere he goes
