An expert would not have made it perfectly clear as you did. Perfect explanation. You can be a great teacher. Many thanks.

don't go into ib if you can't handle failure. YOU WILL FAIL. REPEATEDLY!! but you have to have the willpower to keep going. its hell but if can make it through it's worth it

the truth of the matter is that A levels is easier in terms of the number of hours and also because of the fact that it focuses on either sciences or humanities while IB makes you have a general knowledge in different subjects. I did IB and also took A level Maths which i found very easy.
Go for A-levels except if you have the time and the determination to do 2 languages and 4 other subjects.

hi! I’m not sure if ur still reading or replying comments, but if you do I would rlly like some help :) I’ve been going to this school since young and it has prepared us to do ib. I’m supposed to start this August but I have gotten an offer from another school that does a levels instead. The school I am currently attending is not a very good school, the teachers are not very helpful and a lot of students have to rely on themselves, which is extremely stressful. The other school which does alevels is a better school and more reliable, however I am not so familiar with a levels. I’m planning to do business in uni, and I heard that business management does not require any specific a level subjects. Is this true? And which would u recommend for me?

Hello! This reply might have been a little too late and I’m not the person you’re expecting, but since I’ve been through A-level training for a year but later retort to IB for several reasons, I very much recommend taking A-level in your case. IB is really, really hard , and harder than A-level. It requires a lot of tenacity and critical thinking, and IB students are very dependent upon their teachers when it comes to IA, TOK and EE, because there are several criteria that students must be familiar with before proceeding with the said tasks. Especially TOK and EE - if your teachers are not very helpful, then it’s pretty much dead end.

Hello, I am a high school senior student. I have my SAT in 2 months, my APs in 4 months, CLEP in 5 months, board exams in 4 months and one subject test in 4 months. ( i gave one subject test and got 800, and 1400 in SAT but will give again.) My board is an indian board (CBSE). i was wondering, should i give AS and A level in 3 subjects in june? I am pretty sure I already know a lot of syllabus as it overlaps from other tests but I am still unsure and very confused. Do tell please.....

Hi! If you have already decided that you want to be a doctor and other subjects are not really your priority, I would recommend A-levels! Also, if you are applying just in the UK, it might be at your advantage to do A-levels :) Most schools really struggle to teach IB properly, and with A-levels you could probably concentrate on sciences more efficiently. Good luck!

A levels, you can do all the sciences, and you can focus on the sciences rather than the subjects you dislike. However ib will prepare you for university

Hi there! I initially did IB in high school in order to get to the university but had to take a gap year due to personal circumstances, during which I did A-level. Academically, they helped me pretty much the same way - decent syllabuses with pretty much everything you need if you are going to university afterwards. On a more personal level, that is developing persistence, effective time management and being curious about things, IB definitely wins. Maybe it is because I did IB first that I tend to think that I acquired my soft skills because of it but A-level is really mainly academic oriented (studying material and then passing the exam). Hope this helps :)
