I added code to support the TMP102 temperature sensor and issued a pull request on Sep 22nd 2024. If version 2.9 has not yet been released including TMP102 support, you may need to patch the binary yourself using my fork of the codebase here: github.com/sum...

Absolutely excellent guide that solved my difficulty with achieving this upgrade. It seems to me that the process is unduly difficult, for example starting with finding the latest firmware and installing the upgrade software. Anyway, all done now and I am very happy, thanks!

Thanks for the video. I'm in Windows 10 but used the GUI updater and V10_v28.bin, used the terminal to quit logging and unplugged/replugged before uploading firmware. The GUI says the update was successful, but afterwards the OLA doesn't start back up even after hitting the reset button a few times. The red LED doesn't light back up and there isn't any output to the terminal. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

I don't have anything specific, Usually if the uploader tool says it was successful it should be. Only suggestion I have is to try doing the upload again immediately after hitting the reset button. (Also, disconnect any sensors or anything else on the I2C QWIIC bus to isolate the OLA when testing)

@@summetj Thanks! I tried disconnecting everything and updating firmware right after resetting but the board still didn't 'wake up' again. What finally worked was just running the updater on a different laptop with a different USB C cable. Unfortunately after the update the OLA still won't read my sensors, so more troubleshooting to do again.
