    I don't often leave comments but I feel really compelled to say that you are hands down my favourite mtg channel at the very moment. I put together a budget version of your zinnia list and managed to play a handful of games today - so much fun, an absolute blast of a deck. Congrats on the subscribers milestone, keep it up.

    A high synergy card to add from the new Foundations set is Nine Lives Familiar. It gets 8 revival counters and then comes back at next end step with one fewer counter. Can get 36 inklings just from this creature

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      Thanks for the sub!
      Nine-lives familiar definitely has some insane synergy but I am skeptical it will fit in my list. The fact that it is very obviously scary with Felisa makes we worried, the fact it comes back on the end step means you have to wait to generate all the inklings you can get. A lot of the power of this deck is that it is very sneaky. It is not always obvious how much power we have on board but with nine-lives familiar it is very obvious that we are a problem. I worry people will just target Felisa immediately once the cat comes down and this deck is not great at replaying Felisa too many times if she gets removed. I will definitely test it out because it is just too powerful not to try it but I am skeptical it will actually make the cut long term.

      @ so true! Very new to MTG and just wanted to share. I was curious how Ozolith and Resourceful Defenses work with the Modular creatures. Does it slow down the modular creatures’ abilities (that example you gave towards the end of this video)?

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      @@nathanpepe4261 so it is kind of weird you don't actually "move the counters" as the cards read. You actually just create an equal number of those counters from the ozolith and resourceful defense. So it actually results in a multiplication of your total counters. So if you have a modular creature die with 2 counters on it you get a modular trigger to put 2 counters on an artifact creature and you get an ozolith trigger to put those counters on the ozolith and you get a resourceful defense trigger that puts 2 counters on another creature.
      It is very powerful

    Have you considered adding an Invasion of Tolvada as a way to get sustainability? Giving your army of inklings lifelink seems pretty good. It is a tad on the expensive side for your decklist, but I feel like the effect is worth it.

  • @isnotaghost

    Been working on a similar list since I got back into MtG a few months after Strixhaven. It moved between a few commanders early on - modular Alesha is actually quite fun - but Felisa quickly proved itself the preferred home. Found this while looking for ideas to streamline my list.
    I never considered Saw in Half because of the new copies not triggering Felisa, but I'll have to give it a try!
    I agree with the other poster that Selfless Squire is worth its weight in gold. Not in place of Inkshield: on top of it. More reason for opponents to fear open mana.
    The other cute synergy I've been fond of is Halo Fountain. Because the Inklings come in tapped, the ability can be used immediately. Mana can be a bit awkward, but make 15 Inklings = win the game sure is wild.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      I don't think this list needs 2 fogs but I definitely see the merit in selfless squire.
      Yeah Saw in half is great for generating counters but not amazing at making more inklings it may not be worth if you don't have an ocelot pride to go with it.
      I never even considered Halo fountain for this list but that is a really fun card. I think the white requirement is sadly a little too intense for my version of the list I just play too many utility lands but maybe I'll test it out that is a really cool idea for sure!.

    • @isnotaghost

      @@OnlyLands-MTG Oh, one more question: have you tried out Black Sun's Zenith? If you kill your creatures with the -1 counters, they actually die BEFORE the +1 and -1 counters cancel out, giving you inklings for both.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      @isnotaghost yeah I had it in my first versions of the deck it just never felt great. The inklings coming in tapped meant I wasn't safe from people rebuilding with haste and it makes you the biggest threat for sure. My list just doesnt produce enough mana for it to feel like a consistent board wipe either. It's a good budget replacement for meathook massacre but the immediate impact the massacre provides is just so much better.

    I’m really surprised to see this. I built this deck a while back kind of as a gimmick because I wanted to use modular cards and inklings are my favorite kind of token. The thing that is super frustrating for me is that they come in tapped. 😭 even still this is probably one of my go to decks for sure. It’s very fun.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      yeah the entering tapped is definitely rough. Can't make surprise blockers :( it makes it really important that you wait to make them until the end step before the turn you need them which is definitely annoying but not a deal breaker.

    Is Kambal, Profiteering Mayor a relevant include? Still sticks to lower mana curve, and seems like it would decimate with Felisa/Modular triggers?

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      It seems fine, my main gripe with it is that it is not an artifact creature. Drain just hasn't felt super necessary when you are making tons of 2/1 flyers at instant speed. You already need quite a few pieces together to get the deck to really sing and while drain would be great it is just an additional piece on top of everything else you need in order for it to perform so ultimately I felt most of the drain effects are win more. I used to play a lot more aristocrat type effects like blood artist and such but have moved away from them in favor of just more pieces that actually make the main plan work. If you really want to use him in a list def watch my deck tech on Kambal himself he is a really fun commander in his own rite.

  • @tanosantos1993

    Really like what you got going here. Why no together forever though?
    Also victimize seems like a lot of value for this deck.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      @tanosantos1993 I really like my utility lands in this deck so the mana commitment of double white and then more mana per creature I want to protect just never felt worth it. Like I said this this deck is just really efficient and I always felt together forever was just too slow as reliable protection.
      Victimize is a great card just haven't felt like i need more reanimation and it isn't very good early game because we don't mill or discard. Once we are sacking our creatures the victimize just isn't necessary in my experience.

    This deck seems super cool! Tbh I might try it with Lurrus of the dream den in the command zone instead. Lurrus has some infinite combos plus she gives recursion for your modular creatures. Also would Arcbound Condor be a good include for this?

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      @BIGBOY1996-pu5wz what combos does lurrus have? I know lurrus is powerful but the once per turn restriction usually makes it pretty tough to combo with. I have considered arcbound condor, ultimately I just decided it was too expensive and most of our artifacts will hit the board before it. Our 4 drops need to be really impactful to be worth it. If the inklings were artifacts then I think it would earn a slot but as the list stands now I don't see it being worth the 4 mana price tag.

    • @BIGBOY1996-pu5wz

      @@OnlyLands-MTG Lurrus+Kaya's Ghostform+Phyrexian altar. You have Lurrus enchanted with Ghostform and then you sac Lurrus to the altar. The ghostform will trigger bringing back the Lurrus, you use the mana from the phyrexian altar to cast Ghostform from your graveyard using Lurrus ability. with any Blood artist effect the whole table dies.
      There are so many different cards and board states that you can mix and match into this combo.
      I just prefer Lurrus as she also lets you do shenanigans with kami of false hope or hope of Ghirapur. She also has great synergy with Angelic Renewal, and with Lurrus at the helm of this deck Thran vigil (An amazing pet card) just slots in perfectly.

      @@BIGBOY1996-pu5wz ah okay I thought you meant there were combos in this list with Lurrus hahaha. I think that would end up being a pretty different list. This one really relies on Felisa's tokens to close out the game and only has 2 aristocrat drain effects. A modular deck with Lurrus at the helm would definitely be sweet though!

  • @thedanath

    You could still run Anointed Procession, Mondrak and Ojer Taq as more redundancy to get more creature tokens out. Otherwise very cool deck.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      I used to run more token doublers but they are just too slow. This list needs to be really really critical about its 4+ drops and I wouldn't ever add a 6 drop. This deck has no problem generating a ton of tokens without any doublers at all so I think having more than the 3 token doublers I already included would be overkill. Ocelot pride is just busted at 1 mana, and Teysa and Drivnod fill the roll of token doublers while also providing waaayyy more value for the list by doubling counters and card draw as well!

    • @thedanath

      @@OnlyLands-MTG Technically Teysa and Drivnod dont double tokens its just a nice side benefit. I have a Teysa deck and i still run the cards I mentioned. Granted it comes down to personal preference, but I have never had any downside to playing them.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      @thedanath felisa is really the main token maker in the deck so they functionally do double tokens. I have had Teysa decks in the past and this deck does not play like teysa at all. Teysa and more typical aristocrat decks are much grindier, slower, and capable of producing much more mana than this list. Teysa likes to run ashnod's altar, pitiless plunderer, pawn of ulamog stuff that generate lots of mana and therefore can afford to play those more expensive multipliers. This deck already does enough multiplying just from the modular mechanic itself and felisa. Like I said I used to run more token doublers and came the conclusion after playing dozens of games with them that they are too slow. This deck needs it's cards to do more than 1 thing. Including slow non artifacts that only fill 1 roll just doesn't cut it for this list.

  • @hillnotting

    I have been running her for quite some time with modular. My list is very similar to yours with some minor differences. It sounds very powerful, but the setup it requires to win is immense… most of the times you creatures get blown up before you have Felisa out, or Felisa gets destroyed without you getting much value.
    My pod plays a lot of interaction. In a pod that focuses more on combat damage wins, this commander might work out better. I feel like Felisa and modular is a bit too slow most of the times.

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

      @hillnotting I think in metas that have board wipes on turns 3-5 consistently this is true. But honestly I have found at least in my meta felisa is rarely the scariest thing on board and if they do use removal on my stuff it's gonna result in 8-10 flying power coming their way.
