I'm glad to see there are not a lot stupid coloured bricks inside. What surprised me more though is that Lego used COBIs approach to building ship hulls. Nice choice in my opinion.
@@letsbuildofficial COBI builds ships from the inside out. Although Lego didn't copy their technique exactly they used " bricks-on-the-side" building techniques to make the deck look like wooden planks. COBIs hulls also consist of slopes fitted in "stages" towards the bow and stern to get a stepped but uniform hull curve.
Dear, Lego Please stop with the propaganda of sending LAN members sets with paper bags so it looks like you are being environmentally conscious, but the sets we all buy in stores are still filled with plastic bags.
@@epitsdfel that is what they said last year, but the US LAN members get the paper sets as well now. SO Lego is purposefully sending out paper bag sets for review.
No worries. To be honest, I got excited at first when I heard you say it was 1/70 scale because that meant it was the same scale as the Lego Discovery Space Shuttle and I could display them together if I got the Endurance.
@letsbuildofficial it would just have required a few more creative building techniques to give it a seamless look. Wouldn't this otherwise beautiful model been worth it. That's the problem with Lego, compared to it's competition, they scare away from more complicated building techniques to keep costs low and profits high. These are sets of adults. A little bit of a challenge and more so the surprise about something new, I've never been doing before, would be nice.
This beauty (and the GWP) will be available right after midnight, Don't miss out!

Did that brand use this method as well? I've never built a ship from them.

I'll be sure to look out for this one for my son and his mother. She loves all things maritime and Lego. And that is a beautiful ship.
They won’t be disappointed! :)
I love this set
I want it
Is it better than the Titanic set?
@@letsbuildofficialuuuhhhhh yes
That looks so cool at a great price. And the GWP is a plus
Agreed!
I would love to build this set, then maybe move it along to someone else. I really don’t have a place for display.
A typical AFOL problem. :D
I love how there are no stickers
I hope all the 18+ sets were printed.

They're ahead in the EU (these sets are always from the EU), while the US market is a bit behind.

I mean yes, all LAN members getting from the same HQ, so that’s why these are papers.
Isn't this 1/55 scale and not 1/70? If the ship is 44m long and the Lego model is 80cm, that would make it 1/55.
Yes, you're right, I didn't checked my sources enough.

The visible studs on the main deck are a no go
I usually prefer the studless look, but in this case, looks just fine to me.
