I can’t wait to start this! I just got your book yesterday and will be getting some new yarn to make it!!!! So glad to have a pattern and the videos to go with it! Thank you!!!
Hi Mikey. I am making this while I wait for the Summer 2022 SAL to begin. I will definatly be making another one of these So much fun stitchwork. So rewarding. Thank you.
Update on my Afghan....still managing to keep up with the weekly clues, all while learning along to read my charts in the book too. Thank you Mikey; Barb Turcotte
I’m loving this afghan. I must have read the pattern wrong- I only yarned over twice on the start of the double treble clusters. It still looks nice though so I’m keeping it that way- I’m going to make another one later and I’ll do this the correct way next time lol.
I found round #40 the most tiring. It was really exciting to begin with but I found it took its toll on me after the first row. I consider myself a beginner, having only started learning two months ago (the crochet bug bit me hard...I sometimes stay up until 2am....I just get lost and lose track of time). Thank goodness for the stitch counts in the book!!! I've made numerous mistakes with the stitch counts and thank you so much for pointing out the "hidden stitch". I learnt using a tutorial for a square , the teacher of which insisted on skipping it because it made that square lay flat. Now, I do it automatically (it was a big throw/blanket). I want to go back to basics again, I think, with the beginners crochet on TCC.
@@TheCrochetCrowd So...I finished it! It has so many ruffles my pug thinks it's a snuffle mat! LOL. I learnt such a lot though, and it was really exciting to learn the new stitches. I couldn't wait to get to the next row. Thank you for posting the tutorials. I have so much to learn about crochet, and I am glad I got the book. Colour choice is everything. Thanks again!
It is beautiful, thank you for doing a tutorial for it. I will try to do it but can I ask you, if you want to make it bigger which row would you do more of? Thanks
Hi mike!!!! Please let me know if your new book is out for sale.. I'm interested in purchasing one.. Thank you !!! Happy Holidays to you and everyone in the crowd!!!! Sincerely LYDIA
This is a hard ones. Therese leaves are frustrating for me as I'm using Caron Simply Soft and it's really picky. Going to take me longer, but overall, I'm enjoying this and appreciate the video.
If that second row of leaves came in the first 10 rows of the blanket, I probably would have quit. Lol my right hand was cramping away the whole time. (I'm a lefty so my right hand was doing tension control and stitch guidance) I definitely grumped my way through it.
For me it has definitely been the most challenging two rows so I was really happy when I was done with them. The texture and the way they look made up for the long time it took me, lol.
I got the leaves done just had to tell my self breathe breathe. On the skipped stitch I couldn't tell if you picked up the top 2 loops or all three I did all three loops it looks ok fine I think ill be ok

Yeah it was a chance we took whether it was smart to do it or not.
Absolutely loving this afghan journey, the videos are fab and make sense. Thank you ☺️

haha... What a problem to have. So many ideas, only two hands and too many choices! I totally hear you.

I'm glad you are finding value in being able to follow the crochet diagrams.

I did the same thing. (Triples instead of double-triples). Oops! Worked out well anyways.
I made a mistake in the copying an pasting.
It should work out as well. It's just more tighter.
Loving this, I thought I would just give it a go as I got your lovely book for Xmas. Thank you so much for doing the videos it has helped massively xx
Have fun! It's a great little big project.
Love this. I have learn to fake it too. I have learned so much from Mikey. 😍😍😍😍😍
You're welcome. My pleasure.

Yeah I completely hear you on it. I forgot even when filming how long that round took before.

Truly beautiful A masterpiece
Thank you so much.
Looking beautiful. I have some WIPs I need to finish before I start this
You've always got something brewing on your hook. :)
Very nice thanks for sharing
Thank you! Cheers!

I don't know that answer because she stitch combo is a different tension. Without testing trials, I cannot confidentially say what that would be.
Ah ok it make sense but I can see perhaps that I can add more rounds of the same stitch before the last round. I will try and see how it looks 😉
Very nice, thanks, Amazing
Our pleasure.
I ended up with 27 leaves per side.. On the first leaf round.... Is this correct? I had to skip one stitch on every side to make this work
Yes, 27 leaves is correct.
If I wanted to make this blanket bigger would I just repeat rounds 49 and 50
You can yes.
@@TheCrochetCrowd ok thanks I'm on row 46 ATM but I think I want it bigger
Beautiful 👌👌👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Love this pattern. Where can I get your book.
They have it on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle format. I bought the Kindle version. I’m sure it’s probably available elsewhere as well.
You can order it through your local bookstore or find it online.
Beautiful!
Thanks so much.
Can't wait to do this
Thanks Nancy.
How did I get 5 corners ?
I'm unsure.

Yes, the leaves are frustrating for me too 😅 But the final result is beautiful.

@@amandaross4993 I feel the same
I'm sorry about that. I came up with this concept on my own. It takes a while to get around the rounds but the finished look is nice.

As long as you are consistent, it should be okay.
Yippeeeee.... thank you!
Thanks so much.
I was happy to see this video but sad because its second last one.
Ah, you want the journey to be longer.
Maravilhoso
My pleausre.
