@@ivansoto9723 If it was a v-i then it would be dorian (the rapper would sing a sharp 6), but it can't be because the tonal center is on the first chord (he actually sings a 2). A i-iv-v in minor functionally makes more sense than a v-i-ii in relative dorian. Written down, it should be easy to understand why you would hear one over the other. Also, the v is created by having the 5 note playing alone in the bass. It's obvious after the iv because there is no 5 in a iv. Rather than extending the iv, it suggests a v instead. This is a lot of words for something you will eventually be able to hear instantly.
