- Walk around and a ride on my 1976 Aermacchi SS125. I aquired this bike from a thrift store and got it back on the road driving very well with collector plates and a little help from “The Shop” in South Milwaukee.
I'm 60 years old, in 1982 i have this bike. In Italy, with this, we ride against "vespone" ( Piaggio Vespa 125 modified) , Laverda 125 LZ (with Zundapp motor) and the fastest 125 of the era... Aspes Yuma !
This two stroke Harley Davidson earned the nickname "Malaria Harley" in Indonesia because the Indonesian government through its Department of Health (now Ministry of Health) imported a large number of these bikes to be used by healthcare workers to fight malaria back in the 70s.
We used to ride that bike around in the woods as a dirt bike. I remember having to search long and hard and pay $50 for a spark plug once and a while. If I'd known how valuable it would be later, we wouldn't have killed it.....
Oh wow, I have the exact same color, model and year bike packed away in my storage trailer. Mine has an eagle below or actually between the filler cap and seat like the Bicentennial big bikes had.
Thats awesome, I have seen that logo on an SX125 tank once. Very cool
Its the bike character Kelly Leak rode in the Bad News Bears movie!!
this is the coolest video i've ever seen on the internet thank you!
Great bike
The Cars & Cameras channel has just acquired a derelict one of these. They might need to know the carb lever starting trick.
A friend also had one of these, back in the 1980's. I did some work on it for him.
I had a 73 tx. Rode the shit out of it
Bike from the Bad News Bears!!
I had one 1975 it was orange I had to push it alot.
Superstar!
It vibes cuz its a old single cylinder, not because its 2 stroke
Btw, I grew up around this style of motorcycle but here they are soviet, german or czech ones like CZ, IJH, MZ, Jawa and don't know how these Harleys lubricate, but if the oil is premixed with the gas, avoid engine braking at all cost, put it in neutral while braking, hold the clutch if you have to cuz thats a quick way to seize up the cylinder
I wonder where you got your information? I own one like it ( 125 rapido) and have never heard that. I engine brake all my machines. Trucks, bikes, lawn mowers, skateboards......no really. Love good info. And yes, premix on my bike
Dude.... why don't you ever use your front brakes? That's like 80% of your stopping power. And you're gonna just fry that little back brake pad. Cool bike to blast around town on. Chuckled when you complained of the "vibration" of the bike that says "Harley Davidson" on it.
Ah.si..perdón.
Cuando paraste usaste el freno delantero. Ja ja ...!
That poor clutch 😂
Anyone know How much is it worth in good condition?
I sold this one for $2200 in the middle of winter
How fast is the 0-60mph?
Back in the 1970's, the UK's BIKE magazine speed trapped one of these at 85 MPH, with the rider prone, running on 99 RON leaded fuel. With the lower energy modern fuel, I doubt if it would be repeatable today.
Hi Oscar, I think at one point in this video I got it up to about 65 mph.
@@CZ350tuner thats crazy cool
I had a 75 Kawasaki KE 125 with the 6 speed 65 to 70 flat out.
O no funciona el turno delantero o no sabes frenar!
Quise decir freno.
Cool but ultimately one of Harley's biggest flops.....indian also had a series of 2 strokers back then too with italian motors which also sucked.....undependable and leaky
Bikes and bowling balls not a good mix
