Loved this video. I Just purchased several oil paintings and was trying to figure out how/where to hang them on a huge wall I have. I have a lot of other print and mixed media artwork as well.. this helped a lot. One question though.. How do you recommend building a Gallery Wall when you don't have all the art work. How do you build as you go (add as you purchase art)
Hey Julia! Thanks so much for watching, and great question. Hopefully, here are some helpful hints. First, leave extra room along the sides. In other words, build from the middle out. Second, choose a design style. We like to call ours "Grid" and "Organic." "Grid" is symmetrical, clean lines and perfect measurements. "Organic" has looser edges. Both are great for building a gallery wall over time, but choosing one from the start is key! Check out this blog from one of our custom gallery wall designers for more helpful info. And click the button at the bottom of the blog to learn more about the service. We can help add to or build gallery walls around the art and frames you already have! www.framebridge.com/blog/custom-gallery-walls-interview-with-a-designer
Turned out great! What is you have a bunch of LARGE oil on canvas (framed of course!) along with eclectic arts unframed (can't afford a bunch of frames right now!!!) - any ideas on mixing framed and unframed?
Thanks for watching, we're glad you enjoyed! We actually love mixing framed and unframed pieces in gallery walls. A bunch of large pieces in a single wall can be difficult, but we think the key is to be sure none of them line up perfectly... Since they're probably not all the same size, you'll go crazy trying to align them in any way. Just keep 2 - 3" between everything and use the smaller pieces to separate and break up the larger ones.
Hi there! Thanks for your question. That certainly can be tricky-we say still use the outer dimensions to measure the pieces and go from there-so the top, bottom, left, and right of the curve of each frame. It's a good starting point, and, of course, you can always adjust it until it looks good to you!
Hey Terry! Round frames definitely work in an assortment like this (though we do not sell round frames). We can always work with you to design a gallery wall that may include any round frames you already have. Get started here: www.framebridge.com/services/gallery-walls
Wait…did you just hammer nails into the wall and the frames are hanging on the nails? Don’t you need to find studs or use screws and anchors? I’m so confused. What am I missing?
Hey Malia! With our sawtooth hangers, they can go right on the nail. See this blog for a little more context: www.framebridge.com/blog/how-to-hang-art-with-a-sawtooth-hanger Let us know if this helps or if we can clear anything up further :)
Great video! I’m ready to hang my own gallery wall!
Thanks Remy! We can't wait to see what you create.
This was exactly the kind of tutorial I was looking for, eclectic looking but following particular design rules. Thank you Tessa!!!

So how do you measure the sides Vu or tops and bottoms when you are mixing circle or oval and rectangular and square frames?

Fantastic!!
Could you provide the basic rule of how high or low should we hang the frames?
Looks great
Good job 👍🏼

Well done.
Thank you!
this is exactly how i hang all my frames!
Woohoo! Way to go!
Definitely got what I was looking for here ..lady you dope 👌

And that's exactly what I like.
Messy and disorganized sort of speak 🙄
But that's my style looks amazing on my walls 😁
Good video. Please include your dog a bit more, he looks like a nice doggie! 😀
How tall is this wall?
thanks teacher am from somal8a
Have a nice day. I do sculpting work
I don't have to measure either when I'm hanging art
Think it's probably better to experiment on your rug. The amount of holes in the wall during the experimentation is giving me anxieties 😬
😊
Gallery walls are supposed to be fun you can move things around
You're so right!
I wish I saw this before I put a bunch of holes in my wall. My attempt looks god awful
Hey my name is Tessa too! Wanna come over and help me with my gallery wall? ;)
:)
You’re very sweet.
Way too much talking
You talk too much, just show how to do it, that's matter.
👠 her voice is annoying, but cute wall !
Well done.
