The death toll and survivor numbers are calculated from data gathered from the world's global agencies. Links in the description to those sites.
Sir, excellent Video 👍 👍. But, I am older with a very sick husband I will not leave. I do live in the backwoods of the Ozarks so this is good. I have a surplus of food and much we need. If possible can you do a video on what elderly people who can't leave should do to survive. God Bless you and yours.
You can obtain the right amount of enriched uranium to create an amateur bomb from the many abandon nuclear reactors. We patriotic civilians must halt any cultist from obtaining such material. Preventively strike any cultist factions you spot.
@Toni, You will be fine. I hope you are not near Fort Leonard Wood, or a large city. If you are west of these areas, you are better off. If you are outside of the radius of ground zero, just make sure you can block windows and doors, with duct tape and clear visquene, or even heavy duty trash can liners. You have great faith in Christ. Keep in prayer. Pray for mental, physical, spiritual and provisional relief.
@John Thorn I have long ago considered each and every point you mentioned, and my conclusion is that there will be pockets of life;therefore, I've done my best to pick a location and digout an underground fallout shelter stocked with 2 years worth of supplies... I did this long before the current Russia/Ukraine war. The bottom line is you won't survive if you don't try. It's really that simple. Nobody knows for sure what the consequences from a nuclear war will be. So, I'm prepared as best I can be. If I don't make it, then at least I did everything I could. To those of whom give up and die right off the bat, that's their prerogative.
I live in a rural area around 30 miles from the City, but my concern is the power plant which is in the neighboring small town, about 12 miles from me. Great video, it answered many of the questions I've had for quite some time. Thank you

I always manage to learn something with this channel!! For the most part, i'm relatively prepared for a nuclear event. I have thyroid tablets, a civil defense radiation meter but skipped out on the dosimeter. My logic was that, since nothing can be done about the radiation I've taken the was no need for one. It never occurred to me that medical services might still be available and they'd need to know in order to treat. Seems obvious now that you've mentioned it. Gotta get me one now. As always, excellent video!!
I’m a novice prepper. But like the idea of learning more survival skills. I’m above average with firearms too.Learning how to live off the land is something humanity has largely forgotten and I’d like to learn more.
I have a legitimate question. Wouldn't the radiation be not just spread across a wide distance, but also affect crops and animals? It's been more than 35 years since Chernobyl, and that was a core meltdown, not a direct strike. But even now, the area around is uninhabitable, and will be for an estimated 1,000 years. What would everyone be surviving for? All your friends and family would be gone, you wouldn't have immediate needs such as a fire department or hospitals, snd you'd be just existing. Not truly living.
Yes, for the type talked about in the video, a surface blast would leave long term radioactive areas. The first few days after a substantial blast would produce radioactive fallout in the atmosphere. This would dissipate after the first few days due to wind and atmosphere conditions. This would spread fallout to a large portion of the earth. This would indeed make a large part uninhabitable for quite some time. But the fallout will be worst closest to the blast itself and as it thins out as it travels through the air. depending on the blast radius, the most dangerous levels of fallout would be within a few miles of ground zero. So within the radius of the initial detonation the area would remain contaminated until the materials met their half life. The further away, the safer you would be. Like in WW2, the bombs that were dropped caused a lot of short term radiation. Residual radiation was emitted later in the blast and through the fallout from the mushroom cloud. Roughly 80% of all residual radiation was emitted within 24 hours. The radiation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki today is on a par with the extremely low levels of background radiation or natural radioactivity present anywhere on Earth. It has no real effect on humans. They began the rebuilding process in those two cities only 2 years after the war. The Nuclear Commission, FEMA and other emergency services recommend staying indoors for at least 24 hours in the event of a nuclear explosion. After 48 hours, the exposure rate from a 10-kiloton explosion or equivalent size (might severely damage but not destroy a city) goes down to just 1%. If there is an all out nuclear war, then that would be over 16,000 nukes hitting, this would cover about 50 - 60 percent of the Earths ground surface, not including oceans. Although the devastation would be massive in the aftermath, those who were far enough away from the blasts and had the skills to survive , would stand a good chance after the first 2 years. The difference in a nuclear blast and what happened at Chernobyl, is materials. A nuclear weapon has a set amount of radioactive material, and when the bomb is detonated the radioactive elements are disintegrated int he blast. They attach to particles in the air causing the fallout. But the fallout is short lived. This would also affect crops and animals. Crops would be especially affected by the change in atmospheric conditions and the fallout, But after these have depleted then it would be possible in areas to regrow if someone had the ability and seeds. Animals would be affected in the radius and if they do not migrate outward would definitely face radiation sickness in the first stages. A situation like Chernobyl is different because the core meltdown didn't burn up all of the radioactive elements. They are still present and giving off heat and radiation. Since there was no explosion to disintegrate the elements, then they basically stay in the state they were in. Generally a highly refined state done through process called enrichment. So while the elements remain intact in the damaged reactor, they continue to give off radiation for the duration of their life, or half life. So a blast burns up the elements and a meltdown leaves the elements intact and still radiating at dangerous levels. And yes, this would indeed make a very difficult life for those who survived. Thanks!
Ok I have a question, if we have a nuclear winter. After 3 years. All plant life will be dead. Plants make O2 air. The fires will take out. Lots of o2. Maybe all. If you have a fallout shelter, and a o2 filter. You may also need some types of green plants, to make o2. Just thinking.
Nature has a remarkable ability to replenish it`s flora. Take a look at areas decimated by forest fires a few years later. In this case it may take much longer, though.
I've seen a video on the topic of nuclear war. Basically let's say India and Pakistan exchange one hundred nukes each. The resulting nuclear winter will make average temperatures drop by one degree. Nature would need three years to recover, the ozone layer ten. The documentary stressed out that this was a very optimistic scenario. In case of an all-out war, even if one percent of the population survived for five years in shelters and didn't kill each other, once they get out it would take centuries to rebuild everything.
@@destroyerinazuma96 I was thinking the same thing, entire ecosystems would be ravaged just by the decrease in global temperature from a small exchange. This wouldn't include all else mentioned. It's hard to think much of anything would be able to survive. Easier to believe we'd reset life itself back a few thousand or hundred thousand years.
Good vid, although the nuclear winter may not be that severe since the greatest initial damage comes from air-burst, not ground-burst nukes, and air-burst weapons suck less debris into the atmosphere. All city-strikes will be air-burst, only attacks against hardened shelters (military bunkers/silos) will be ground-attack.
Reviewing your old video and good to have some ideas of possible SENERIO’s, however, for a real All Out Nuke War, this is a very rosy picture……. Some of the Stocked 10 year government underground shelters should have some survivors, each from the different nations that can afford them. For the rest of the population though, we’ll, talk about hell on earth, cause that’s pretty much what will be left to deal with !!! After the nukes hit, there’s a biological n chemical 2nd strike…. Airborne particles will as you mentioned take years to fall back to earth…. Nuclear Winter however will last 5-20 years more likely 10-15 in the least…. Maybe a very unlucky few might survive in their personal bunkers, given the absolute ideal preps & situation.. BUT HONESTLY IF THIS HAPPENS WE WILL BE MUCH BETTER OFF IN HEAVEN. FOR ANY SURVIVORS BET THEY GO RIGHT BACK TO THE UNDERGROUND BUNKER THEY CAME OUT OF….
Not sure why you said this is "rosy". I was surprised when he suggested at 20:08, in the last stage, less than 3 million (out of 8 BILLION) would survive. Saying only 0.0035% would survive is an exaggeration. He says this because he assumes all ground-burst missiles, resulting in the worst fallout. The majority of missile strikes will be air-burst. Yes it would literally be hell on earth.
@@klyons217 reread my comment, the video suggests that human life has a chance though tough.. Thumb.. If you see a mushroom cloud hold your thumb out in front of you. If your thumb covers the cloud leave immediately for upwind or as far away as practical. If it doesn't hunker down and wait 48 hours until you go outside. The deadliest and most dangerous type of radiation from a nuclear explosion only has a 24hr half life. Then after 2 days, leave for upwind.
RADIATION POISONING PROTECTION AND OVERDOSE NEUTRALIZATION : apple pectin, rosemary, potassium iodide (130mg) , 7 percent iodine, kelp, dulse seaweed salad, brown rice , miso soup and seaweed salad. I would even take it a step further to detox with bentonite clay and activated charcoal
@@ambertracks I`d be sure before i tried it, though. Potassium iodide is a good suggestion, however, as it keeps the thyroid from from absorbing radioactive forms of potassium, from what I`ve read.
@@ambertracks Maybe. But I`ve read that potassium iodide only needs to be taken 2-3 weeks, after that, radiation levels should have dissipated enough to cease using it. Perhaps it would be safe, and still effective, to detox then. But I would certainly be on guard for symptoms of any condition you are suffering from escalating. It could be a sign that the bentonite clay or activated charcoal are absorbing your medications.
Be careful what you eat: I would not eat fruits, as most people would have a gastro-intestinal reaction in the stress of a nuclear war and that fruit could turn into diarrhea really fast! And yes, toileting is a major concern if you are sheltering with others: Where? Into what? How will you cover the poop to lessen odours (wood ash, soft wood shavings or sawdust, or hydrated lime?) How will you carry out a bag of poop? To where? How often? Will you need to wear a hazmat suit, gloves, respirator and filters? If so, is there a sheltered area where you can remove and safely dispose of your hazmat suit and filters? Is there a way to rinse your respirator before you bring it indoors to dry? By the way, cheap shower caps would be a good way to keep hair safely tucked away before you put on that hooded hazmat suit. You could even tape this shower cap around your face. Why shave a beautiful head of hair if you don't need to?
If you don't live near a military base or an civilian airport used by the military your chances are excellent for surviving the attack. They will only attack the military sites. 80 to 85 percent who survival the attack will be dead within the first year , because of radiation positioning , starvation , lack of water , diereses , the toxic infrastructure failure like nuclear power plants cooling ponds with the stored used fuel. Water will evaporate and not be replaced. The patrolmen industry has pipe lines all across the us which will start leaking and contaminate the land. The chemical factories will discharge into the air and the ground . You can expect 75 to 80 of ground water to be undrinkable.
Survivors should find and punish those who caused this to occur. Look for the D.U.M.B.S. air intake and clog them after you find and set ambushes on their entrances.
In all our nuclear war I doubt the majority of the targets would be hit by a surface burst. Air burst create far more destruction and are more appropriate for the majority of targets, soft targets.
I'm curious. Regarding the explosion in Russia a few days ago. Was the missile tipped with a nuclear warhead, or did the explosion detonate munitions on the ground around the launch site.? If tipped with a nuclear warhead, who was the rocket intended for? Was Russia attempting to initiate a nuclear strike on some other? I can't see the logic in them purposfully irradiating their own country for the sake of a test.
I have a car. I must get an E-Bike. But shit that’s battery operated. Car is gas. Wth are we suppose to use to get around ? Horse n buggy ?? I live up North. Many horses around I am sure guess we would have to steal a horse , saddles a buggy if possible.
Initial scenario is inaccurate. Having taken the nuclear and Chemical (yes that long ago) Weapons Targeting Course the goal is to get the greatest blast effect. This typically keeps the fireball up in the air. Greater casualties from blast and direct radiation near target. Much much less fallout. The nuclear winter would not be as bad as everyone wants to scare you with. Targets do include an initial very high bursts to cause and EMP (electroMagnetic Pulse) so kiss any electricity or electronics good buy. Targets are also the rail system, especially rail yards. Plan for at least a year. Remember anything that eats contaminated vegetation becomes radioactive. I would not hunt for one or two years. Grain fed cattle or hogs kept inside for two weeks would be ok. Roof of your house will stop most of the radiation if you stay inside for two weeks. +
Africa and Southamerica will survive for sure, not even fall out, on the other hand, 8000 thermonuclear strategic strikes and thousands more of tactical hets won't leave much hope, not even in a bunker
The faction that dominates the rivers and lakes rules North America. I suspect the militias here will act as small feudal Greek city states at first, but if the federal government ceases to exist, it’s anyone’s land to conquer. Although I hope the federal government survives this war uncorrupted by the emergency powers granted by the previous civilization.
The Federal Government will survive. They certainly have several plans in place. What all that will look like is hard to imagine. They won't be able to help most people for quite a long time. My guess is they would be in a secret location. It would be the wild west for the rest of the survivors.
@@thinkertank1 Any public settlement they attempt to set up will be at risk of getting nuked by either the remaining Russian or Chinese forces/government.

If you`re on medications, however, bentonite cly and activated charcoal may absorb a great deal of it and render it ineffective.
@@Dean4511 not sure if thats true, they really only "attract" poisons and heavy metals
@@ambertracks I`d be sure before i tried it, though. Potassium iodide is a good suggestion, however, as it keeps the thyroid from from absorbing radioactive forms of potassium, from what I`ve read.
@@Dean4511 ahhh i see what your saying, ok then perhaps a few days later after the iodide has done it's job ty
Its shame I found this channel only a month before this man died
Humbling...
Time to build a bunker and stock up on supplies
Where I live, I’ll never get out of the city in time. I live about 50 miles from a military base. I just hope the blast is quick. Don’t care anymore.
Thanks.
Bravo!
Bernie ran an ad on this video FYI
Please tell me you’re from Kentucky
I live within 10 miles of a major air force base. So I’d be screwed.
Looking at Michigan... I’m fucked during the winter
Survivors should find and punish those who caused this to occur. Look for the D.U.M.B.S. air intake and clog them after you find and set ambushes on their entrances.
We are prepared for that. You will have a bad day. All enemies foreign and domestic.

So you guys will be responsible for the nuclear war?
God bless your soul. Rest in peace my friend. Thank you. ❤️
In all our nuclear war I doubt the majority of the targets would be hit by a surface burst. Air burst create far more destruction and are more appropriate for the majority of targets, soft targets.
Nothing would be left from every thing is hit to use
I'm curious. Regarding the explosion in Russia a few days ago. Was the missile tipped with a nuclear warhead, or did the explosion detonate munitions on the ground around the launch site.? If tipped with a nuclear warhead, who was the rocket intended for? Was Russia attempting to initiate a nuclear strike on some other? I can't see the logic in them purposfully irradiating their own country for the sake of a test.
wouldnt be first time, nor last. Russia did it, US did it, UK, China...
I would not want to survive a nuclear war.
they would aim for nuclear facilities. ie: power stations and silos
I have a car. I must get an E-Bike. But shit that’s battery operated. Car is gas. Wth are we suppose to use to get around ? Horse n buggy ?? I live up North. Many horses around I am sure guess we would have to steal a horse , saddles a buggy if possible.
This will probably happen after the market crashes like it did before with the 20 s and ww2
Well this has really cheered me up

Nobody - and who wants to anyway

Surviving an EMP is more like it
you need 3 years. it will happen. food will be expensive. not sure about a nuclear war, but food shortage for sure. I was given a vision and also many others have as well.
Nobody will be selling food or water during such a time........they will take yours!!
I am not certain that I would want to live in the aftermath of a nuclear catastrophe. Ant P UK Teacher
Well I hope I will be in the center of the blast 💥
nukes arent the prob.. its the nuke plants.
Could get a double whammy, Nuclear Targets will probably have nuclear power plants within its blast zone...😱
Not many left
