I used to drive one back in 2010 for a couple of years. Extremely reliable and very frugal engine. Never let me down once.

Overall the HDI was better. Personally I'd stick to a Honda K2 engine.

I own a Skoda Fabia 1.4 tdi 2004, because I'm a begginer :) and besides the engine being only with 3 cylinders, everything about it is so awesome. I'm so pleased with the car.

Had one of these with AWD and a 6 speed manual. Great car. I now own a 2003 fwd with the 1.8 turbo. Fast for an older car

2nd gen dont have 1.9tdi 96kw .. only 77kw version , maybe after chip tuning you have 96kw..

I own same 1.9 tdi 77kw with 130,000kms on odo! Thinking to upgrade! Should i go for 96kw remap and what are your torque figures after tuning?? My biggest concern is it still reliable after remap? How long u driven it after tuning so far n does it effect the clutch life and service intervals?? Thankxxx:)

My vehicle skoda mk1.yesterday tge vehicle not satrting, onky cranking. And there is no instrument cluster signal when ignition on. This is happen accidently when im ingnition off.. Afyer some time im ingition turn on for starting but... No signal showing in meter cluster.... Also any light.. But cranking. Indicaters working, horn working, fan ac working, what is the complaint, im from india.

have driven a 1.6 55kw petrol a few years okayish car except the engine - low power, so-so fuel economy and problems with throttle body and other electronics, now I know why everybody bought the 1.9 tdi. After that came a mazda 3 bk again with 1.6 engine. Night and day difference - much better suspension and road holding, better fuel economy with more power than the skoda 1.6i and more reliable. Also much better second row seat space in the mazda.
Не знаю как эта, но ездил на 1,5 Октавии в универсале, на автомате DSG и уж так случилось что без заднего резонатора. Отсутствие резонатора на звук негативно не повлияло, но добавило мощности и приятного свиста. Пролетел 800км в одну сторону и 800 назад - доволен полностью!

yes, this is a pump duse, this is the AXR code but theres another with 100hp named ATD (1 year older than the AXR) then you have115HP AJM, 130hp ASZ and 150hp ARL, 105HP in Golf 5, next octavias etc etc.. and another ones, now in newer TDI they use common rail
