finaly! i spent like an hour looking for an Actual guide on how to do this, all the others are more like"watch me build this with no info on measurements or parts described or listed"
How much is the total cost? Also, would it work to put a rubberized cover over it more like a treadmill? This would also allow modifications to easily measure distance run.
It costs $200 to make. Yes, I suppose you could try putting a mat over it but you'd have to find a way that it wouldn't hit the sides as you're running along🤔
Can it hold 250 pounds or more really trying to take the weight off. Will it break during time? And how long will it last before breaking. I know these maybe not built for running, walking is good enough for me. Plus if you can build one for Me how much would you charge? Is $$ 300-400ish sounds good enough for you?
It will hold 250 pounds as long as you follow the correct materials as labelled in the description. I'm not sure how long it would last...it all depends on how much you use it! I don't make and sell sorry, that's why I've created a video so that you can give it a go yourself😊
@@MattLees-Nunan thank you this video will help. I checked that a project like this for carpenter can charge $200-$600 on a small project and can go even go up to 800 high end. Depends how much you worked on it and how many accessories and light weight adding a motor etc etc. Not bad I was willing to buy one. Don't have time and the tools. Might have to rent it or buy them and return them to get my money back. From the tools.
Hi, sorry my bad English but I have a doubt, I don't understand the measurements. If the tubes are 25mm and 3mm thick it means that the internal diameter is 19mm (?), How do the bearings fit if they are 22mm?
I wish TH-cam would detect when there are vertical and horizontal bars on videos and upscale the video so it isn't only taking up ten percent of the screen.
And, how did you mimic the curve on both pieces? Did you use one as a template, or did you measure the start, middle, and end for both and then bend the pipe accordingly
@@Jais271 I curved the pipe as a template and then measured each one as I went along. You could probably just drill through both pieces at once but I wasn't sure how straight I could drill down, so just took the extra time to be sure!
Thats really a nice idea to diy that. How does it feel when you run for a longer period of time, 30min+? Ain‘t it pretty harsh on the feet after a while?
*edit Hi Matt, are your bearings flush/tight within the inner diameter of your tubing? I'm building my skillmill right now and the bearings are a little loose inside the pipes.
Hi Jonathan! If they are a little loose then try putting some electrical tape around the bearing so it is tight around the tubing. In the movie you'll see that I put pop rivets on each side...This will stop it from hitting sides. Does this help?
@@MattLees-Nunan Thanks for the swift response. The tubing I have is 1" OD, so I used 1.25" OD fender washers. Unfortunately, they are loose as well since nothing "pushes" them against the pipe openings like your rivets do. I'll think of a solution and try using electrical tape. Keep you posted!
Hi bro, the rivets don't go into the bearing itself. They go next to it to act as a stopper so the bearings don't pull through and hit the side timbers😊
After doing it, do you think that the pot rivets are necessary? I'm asking it you because the two side supports won't let the bearings move. Or what do you think?
Now a days. I am thinking about it... that how to make a treadmill at home. so Google brings me in your video. apparently, it seems a good idea. My ping is, it is making much noise while running. I think you could reduce the noise by using a rubber grip.
Yeah that must be annoying. To be honest, I didn't know how to get it off that mode. This is the first time I've ever made videos and still learning. They've gotten better since this one😅

Hello sir how are you??
Thanks about all ...please tell me about this treadmill noise ???
I think bearing or pipe shall make too much noise
It does make a bit of noise but it's nothing too crazy😊
What is the reasoning to make the curve? Will straight one work? Getting a exact curve on both the sides seems challenging
Yes, it can be challenging but without the curve, you're unable to go as fast!
Sorry to ask you a dumb question but what is a pop rivet and which would be a right one for 1 inch tubing?
I got it thank you. At what distance would you put the rivet from end of the pipe?
It depends on the width of your bearing really.. It's there to stop the bearing from moving in further down the tubing
What did you do to prevent the tube from bending?
Use 3mm pipe tubing
Hola excelente trabajo, un cordial saludo desde Nuevo Leon México!!
Hola! Gracias hermano! Buenas suerte con entrenador💪😊
Hi, sorry my bad English but I have a doubt, I don't understand the measurements.
If the tubes are 25mm and 3mm thick it means that the internal diameter is 19mm (?), How do the bearings fit if they are 22mm?
25mm is the internal tube measurement👍
@@MattLees-Nunan ok
So we have external diameter of the bearing 22mm and internal diameter of the tube 25.... there's still difference
Hello, do the hoses need to be lubricated after some time?
Great project!!!!
Hello, thank you😊 No, I haven't the past 2 years and it's been fine👍
I notice u wrote pop rivet in the description yet I don't understand much, can you explain further to me, I'm not professional in this
If you type into Google "pop rivet" or go to your local hardware store, they will point you in the right direction🙂 I suggest 1/8 rivets
@@MattLees-Nunan thank u
Looks great... what is there a way to make it more quiet, I live in apartment building therefore I have to pay attention to the noise
Hmmm🤔 not sure! Maybe you can tell your neighbours to play some music👌
Exercise bike ✌️
Not sure, float it on some large neodymium magnets?
the resistance here probably sucks, did you figure out a way to control it?
I feel resistance isn't needed since there is an incline
I like it, it's a great idea and it looks like it's not noisy at all is it? It's amazing I'll start mine as soon as possible.
It makes a little noise but nothing crazy!
Awesome bro great job💯🤙❤️🇵🇭
Thank you! Hope it made sense!😀
How long you think this will last, i am asking because i think the bearings where we step while running will damage soon
I run on mine about 3 times a week and haven't had an issue with bearings yet. Are you having trouble with it at the moment?
Hey Matt,
I’m from the states can you tell me the dimensions in ft and inches please? Love the design can’t wait to start
There’s plenty of calculators online for you to convert measurements yourself
@@SilverXTtoo hard... 😅
How many rollers did you put
Hmmm.... it may be worth pausing the video and counting since I can't remember!
I wish TH-cam would detect when there are vertical and horizontal bars on videos and upscale the video so it isn't only taking up ten percent of the screen.
Yeah that would be good! I'm not really good with technology and just used my phone, so I'm sorry the quality isn't better
My aunt and uncle work with construction a lot so I’m planning to make this (I’m going get help with it 👌)
That's great! Sounds like a nice project for you all😊
Please I want ask to can one make it possible to control the speed, like starting with walking and may be endup running, everyone can't be running
Yes definitely you can control your speed. How fast you go is determined on how quickly you want to go😊👍

can we do anything to reduce the sound?
Great question! I'll leave that up to you and your imagination😊
Does the 25mm tubing go into the wood side panels to hold weight
Hello, the tubing sits over the bearing and the bearing is connected to the wood panels. Hope this helps🙏
Great job! Are you able to sprint on this?
And, how did you mimic the curve on both pieces? Did you use one as a template, or did you measure the start, middle, and end for both and then bend the pipe accordingly

I’m a big girl how is this on weight bearing, and are you able to just walk on it or do you have to run?
It will definitely be strong enough as long as you have thick enough metal tubing. Yep, most certainly you can walk on it👌
What should take Iron pipe or steel pipe
Steel pipe bro😊
@@MattLees-Nunan can we take iron pipe for more strength and for heavy person like 70 kg
@@amanahmad3516 I can't see why not🤔👊
Bro would this break if I ran on this? I'm 328lbs.
Hey bro! Look, if you get tubing that is 3mm thick and have good quality bearings, then no!😊
Hi what part goes into the wood panel at side to hold the weight
Hi Joe, you'll need to put the 6mm x 70mm bolt through the bearing and tighten the nut on each side of the panel. I hope that makes sense?
How many pipes did you use thanks!
From memory 23🤔
Thats really a nice idea to diy that. How does it feel when you run for a longer period of time, 30min+? Ain‘t it pretty harsh on the feet after a while?
It's actually really good. Not harsh on the feet unless you have really thin shoes.
hi can PVC pipe hold our body weight
Hello, I wouldn't recommend it. If it was thick pvc then maybe but I can't give you an answer on that unfortunately.
Excelente gracias 👌
