Talking about curved manual treadmills work, how to build one yourself, how professional treadmills are built and what are the advantage in them; specifically why I prefer manual curved treadmills. Manual treadmills are better. Motorized treadmill are old. Get on with the time. You can control your speed with a manual treadmill.
I'm also showing how this indian engineer built his own manual treadmill using PVC pipes. Another person also built it using PVC pipes. But there is an alternative method of building curved manual treadmills - do it yourself, by using ball bearings. Preferably one-directional thrust bearings.
I talk a bit about the engineering of a curved manual treadmill too.

why curved treadmills so expensive
Did you see how many bearings? All those ball bearings; especially quality ones, cost a lot. Plus you'd want a good durable slatbelt - also brings the price up. The whole things needs to be made from tough durable materials to endure a human being (typically up to 150kg) running so nothing will break; considering the size and the mechanics that comes into building such a thing - it's priced accordingly.

I think it's what the market will bear right now. As long as people will pay the price and fewer people make them, than other options, the price will remain high. Sure, quality bearings may cost 1/20th of the price, but they are also easy to replace and not all bear the same weight. Mass produced metal frame rather than wooden frame boutique will bring price down eventually.

She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon.
