    Thank you for sharing your video. I would think you might want something to keep those rear chains a bit tighter than they are. A bungie strap or similar that would allow a bit of movement but take the excess out of at least control the excess chain. Take care.

      Thanks for the tip! A bungee strap is a solid idea. I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts. Take care!

    Just found your channel and I love it, for the tire chains we us bungee cords to tighten the out side of tire left to right and up and down it helps a lot.

    Thanks for todays video! it was great! I have a litle something to share, when i was riding my Suzuki quadrunner 250, the knot cross that connect the drive shaft to the wheel broke, so now we have to import one from USA, or find something simular to that, so its kinda a pain in the rear. And the fact that the belt broke when you also said that it might do, well i guess that your a fortune teller 😅 Well have a great one!

      Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video! 😄Funny how these machines always seem to know the worst time to break down, huh? Importing parts can definitely be a pain, but fingers crossed you find a solution soon! I’ll take ‘fortune teller’ as my new side hustle 😅Good luck getting it back on the trail, and have a great one too!

    Great video!
    How did you manage the "snowstorm" we had couple of days ago? Will there be any snow removal video soon? I think I remember you bought a new rear blade for the New Holland, was it a year ago? Or maybe two?
    Keep up the good work and have a nice day 😊

      Thanks, glad you liked the video! That snowstorm definitely kept me busy and gave me some trouble, to be honest! 😅I won't spoil anything but a video about it might be coming in the future! And good memory on the rear blade, a Dalen 2120 - it was indeed about a year ago! I actually bought it from your local dealer over there, at "Eik Senteret Hægeland".
      Appreciate the support, and you have a great day too! 😊

      @woodlandwrench I really like that I have Valtra dealer (Eik Senteret) so close. I am there time to time to get some service parts or equipment. In the future I will invest in a new (or used) fully hydraulic rear blade, it would be so much easier...

    Great video👍 I bet we all have fried a belt at some point - so always carry a spare and the tools I need to change the belt. I do not break in belts but take it easy the first kilometres. Shorten the chains. Take some air out an mount tight and inflate afterwards. Finally - if snow is too deep and loose - it will hang up on the belly and you're going nowhere no matter how good the chains are😉 But I am sure your Polaris will be a great asset on your farm.

    • @woodlandwrench
      @woodlandwrench  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great tips!😀 Being able to swap the belt out and about is probably a good idea, doesn't require too many tools either. I'll have a look at tightening up those chains as you say - though I've heard that if they're too tight, you'll wear out the tires a lot faster. No clue whether that's true or not, but they're currently VERY loose anyway! The ATV will definitely be handy around the farm, especially for the small tasks like fencing and generally getting around. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and tips, appreciate it a lot! 😀

    Mopeds also used this type of limiters , ECU and metal ring and sometimes muflers or exhaust pipes.

    Veldig flott film som vanlig. Har ingen annen erfaring med Polaris 800 annet enn 3 av naboene som alle har fått sveist sprekker i rammen, men ellers vet jeg ikke. Selv kjøpte jeg en helt ny Suzuki 280 king quad i 1996 og den har jeg fremdeles. Den gjør ca 85km/t med alle gir drevene montert, noe den har hatt siden ny. Byttet speedometerwire ifjor og noen sett med dekk har den fått gjennom årene, men ellers er den urørt og nesten som ny.

      Tusen takk! Imponerende at Suzuki’en din fortsatt går som en drøm etter så mange år - det sier mye om kvaliteten! 🚜 Når det gjelder Polaris, høres det ut som de rammene kunne trengt litt ekstra oppmerksomhet fra fabrikken 😅 Men bra naboene har sveisekunnskap i hvert fall! Takker for at du deler, og håper King Quaden holder koken i mange år til!

    The problem with snowchain for ATV is that for exampel there are chains to 22x10 to 25x8. The problem arises due to the idiot manufactures uses diffrent meassureing methods so if 6 brands have 25x8 tires ALL are diffrent in width. its so stupid. its always best to get chains from the local dealer that actually sells the ATV brand you are using.

    • @woodlandwrench
      @woodlandwrench  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I noticed a lot of the chains on websites said they fit 25 different tire sizes, haha. I'll probably go ahead and and modify them to make them fit better.
