That truly was accurate because if i remember my history the word moor was used by the European Christians to describe a person of African decent, plus the moors are known to have ruled Europe for like 500 + years
@@ashtonfranklin4620 You don't remember correctly. The Umayyad Empire ruled over parts of Hispania of the Iberian Peninsula for hundreds of years. Their conquest of Europe was stopped by the French. Muslim rulers continued to rule the Iberian region for several hundred years. Plenty of their dark-skinned African citizens-Moors/Berbers/Imazighens (same people, different names)- of various social strata arrived too, the first were conquering soldiers, but the rulers were of Arab descent. The word moor wasn't classist, it was descriptive. It means black, but the Moorish people were from Northern Africa. Shakespeare's tragic protagonist Othello was "the Moor of Venice".

Lmao! God the subtlety of this show!! There are so many deep cut jokes in every single fight that the average viewer wouldn't even understand. Starting at 3:51 when it's a first person view from Shakespeare, it's views Busta with a fish eye lense just like so many of his music videos from back then. So cool!
I don't know why, but I find the idea that Nick is such an expert on the history of Rap that it was him who was tasked with updating Shakespeare on the genre hilarious.

Unfortunately Busta would probably die to the disease of Shakespeare's time though Shakespeare could definitely live long in modern day due to modern medicine so in the long run Shakespeare would probably outlive Busta

Im not sure why they are not seeing the violent acts and unusual things going on or they are just being ignorant. I always wanted more of these episodes as a kid when it cancelled. But MTV butchered the remakes, Mills Lane had a stroke, Nick Diamond's voice actor died, and Gomez's voice retired. Lightning in a bottle when it started, and I doubt you recapture something so QUINTESSENTIALLY 90's/early 00's.

he had a company of acting, he was an actor and a play writer and he had success with all of it and he was well known for his work, in other words, he was a celebrity.

breaks my heart that these beautiful quality tapes exists in the MTV Vaults yet the full show will probably never ever be scene in this quality. rewatching crappy tape transfers, i realize the show used alot of music that probably makes it a nightmare to release again in full. it would take editing it and I highly doubt that is Paramounts/Viacom's top priority. We're lucky these clips exist.
