    Very helpful video. Doing all the prep work for when the belt gets here.
    Pretty much answered every question that I had in my head.

    Thanks for the video. Though I haven't done mine yet, I got the parts, a single roller, the assembled roller with the tension metal, and the belt. I was wondering why you said you learned a valuable lesson until I finished the video and read the comment. I'll do the disassemble thru the front see how it goes.

      Awesome. Yea I think going through the front is the way to go! Good luck on your project!

      @@DansShopSD So I did it thru the front, and it was much better than the back. I didn't have to remove the tub like other videos did. After replacing the belt, it runs but made some noises. Later the noise has gone, I guess it needed to run thru the cycle. Thanks again!
      On another note, same dryer, I also fixed the error code F01 a few months ago. It was the control board, and the solder connector burnt out. Hope yours works fine until you want to upgrade. But if you come across this error, let me know. Easy fix.

    I changed out the idler pulley on my whirlpool dryer it was $41 with tax for the whole kit. How do you know if the belt and dryer wheels need to be changed?

      @DansShopSD  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This one I knew the belt was bad because it was squealing bad. Once I had the dryer open I saw the belt was frayed. I changed out the wheels while I was in there. I think they were probably fine. B

      @@DansShopSD Thanks for the comment. I did notice some black shavings on the one side where the belt comes down to the pulleys. It still looked though in good shape.

    this fellow is NOT intimidated by parts and gets the dryer fixed. If you have a lot more money than skills, hire a technician and you may never do it yourself... but he can do it again if need be for another person

      Don't worry about it. I've done things different a 100 times. It's all a learning experience. It was good to see how to take the back off. thanks for the video!

      Yes not proper way to do this. Much more easier from the front.

      Really wish I would have read this comment first before tearing into the back of mine. Checked out the a couple other videos and it would have been much easier.
