My dryer was making a horrible squealing noise, so thanks to your video, I was able to disassemble it. I replaced the belt, idler pulley, and guide rollers, all purchased from Amazon for about $25. Just to pass along a handy hint: my replacement idler pulley had a 3/8” square hole for which I used a ratchet to position the pulley to put the belt on. It made it a lot easier rather than positioning the pulley by reaching in my hand.
A huge thank you for getting a shot of how the belt loops through, from the camera inside the dryer. That view made all the difference. I really appreciate the video. I fixed my dryer for $10 by purchasing the belt on Amazon.
I really appreciate this. So many videos waste ten minutes with intros, etc and I just want to scream since by then, I'm covered in sweat after replacing parts. You get to the point. Every time I service that damned dryer I forget how the belt goes back on the motor. Thank you, thank you. And yes, I liked!
Great video, fixed my parent’s 2007 dryer with your help. I’m only 5’5”, with short arms, lol, so I find it helpful to put the belt on the pulley etc with the front door off. It allows me to get a little closer, and more room for my arms. I hold up the drum with my forearms as I’m reaching in. It also makes it easier for me to pull that pulley mechanism to the left. When the belt is on I just make sure the drum is on the back rollers, and spin the drum to test it, then I put the front door on, and spin the drum again to check the front rollers. Hope this helps some other short armed woman. 😊
THE CAMERA VIEW!!!! Game changer. Thank you so much for this video. I've been losing my mind because every video is the mirror image of my dryer and it's a complete mind warp when you're trying to blindly install. Also interesting that you reinstalled the front before reattaching the belt. I installed the belt first and then tried to attach the front and the drum isn't moving so obviously the alignment is off. I look forward to taking this approach when I go back to try again!
💗 I'm currently replacing the rollers in my dryer, as life is busy, tomorrow, I'm going to complete the task -reinstall the drum, and, install a new belt... While I did try to snap a few pics... I really, & truly, couldn't get my head around "the actual configuration, of "how the original belt was installed!""??? **Your inside camera is totally phenomenal..** I've seen video of a GoPro Camera, mounted inside an inflated car tire, as it drives over a nail... Your video supersedes all that. Thank you so much! From: A new subscriber! * With the Notification Bell turned: "ON" 🙂
Oh wow, Thank you very much! Just your comment alone was worth the effort! I was scratching my head too, trying to get my brain wrapped around the configuration.
@handymanhertz great video it helped me on changing that belt easy like a few weeks ago but now the same dryer is not heating up to dry my clothes properly any advice
Your video saved me! I generally don’t attempt these things as I get too freaked out that I’ll break things worse and never get it back together. After watching your video with the step by step, and that magnificent camera angle, I replaced the belt!! Not easy to get my arms in there and do it mostly blind, but it worked after a few tries. Thank you!!
I doubt they are universal as every model has a different configuration. I'd find one Amazon if I were you, I'm sure there's a dozen of off brands. I have a video on how to find the correct part number if you need.
I was quoted $390 for dryer pulley and belt and start button. He stated thats the price of material only No labor parts sell on Amazon for $25. Damn thief.
Ok I’m not going to lie that’s a nice bit set I own one had to return one too because the bits got loose on the shaft , too be honest it’s daily useless unless you don’t have tools to begin with lol
Your video saved me a LOT of wasted effort and time along with $$$. Great job! Thanks😊
Love to hear it! You’re welcome!

Glad you liked it! I’m not big on wasting peoples time 👌
Thanks brother. Saved me so much time and money to replace a broken belt. Appreciate you. 👊🏾

The pulley trick was immensely helpful thank you!

Thanks for watching. I try to keep my intros under 15 seconds (usually 8-10) glad you got it fixed.

Thanks for the tip!
Saved me getting rid of our dryer and buying a new set. Best video I've seen amd this model is almost exactly like mine. Loved the tips, too!
Great, glad you got some help from it!
Great video, to the point, with clear camera views, and a nice dose of humor thrown in! I’m buying one of those quick sockets too!!!
Thanks, I really appreciate that!

@handymanhertz great video it helped me on changing that belt easy like a few weeks ago but now the same dryer is not heating up to dry my clothes properly any advice
It could be a few things, but I wonder if your heating element needs replaced? I had to do mine a couple years ago.
@@HandymanHertz it still runs but not heating up can I find the heating element on Amazon for the same dryer?
Great video! Thanks🎉
Thanks for watching!
The only video you need. 👍
Thanks!

Alright, great job! Now you have a boost of confidence for the next, harder diy task 👍🏼
Thank you. I was about to give up and just purchase a new dryer. This video helped me immensely 😊
Glad I could help you save money!
Are the belts universal? Does it have to be specific to the model? Trying to get mines repaired but being told the belt is " out of stock".
I doubt they are universal as every model has a different configuration. I'd find one Amazon if I were you, I'm sure there's a dozen of off brands. I have a video on how to find the correct part number if you need.
@HandymanHertz That video would be great! I've been checking Amazon, and there are many, just not sure which to buy. Thank you.

Thank you!!
Made me laugh about the "if this doesn't motivate you to move your little finger".. great video thanks. Doing this today with my dryer.
Glad that got a chuckle from ya! Good luck with your dryer!
@HandymanHertz the break down was fine, got to leave it apart till tomorrow though. Needs a 93.5 inch belt instead of the 92 1/4.
I was quoted $390 for dryer pulley and belt and start button. He stated thats the price of material only No labor parts sell on Amazon for $25. Damn thief.
Wow! That's robbery
What's robbery is $1200 for front brake pads and rotors on my truck
I do my own work on vehicles and appliances since 1975. I learned how to do everything before I could drive.
Ok I’m not going to lie that’s a nice bit set I own one had to return one too because the bits got loose on the shaft , too be honest it’s daily useless unless you don’t have tools to begin with lol
Malco makes a set that I prefer in my opinion. 😅 no hate here
Interesting, i'll have to look at it next time I'm in Menards… They carry Malco products. 👍🏼 I'm always looking for the best tools.
3:02 Not recommended enough.
👍🏼
Thanks big dog
👍🏼
yah....right.
Thank you ❤❤❤ for save me 200 dlls
XCLNT !, BUT MOST DRYERS ARE NOT "LIKEE THIS ASSEMBLY !!!"...
Not sure about "Most"... but true, a lot aren't.
Shameless branding.
You bet
