That Griffey rookie auto you passed on was nice. It was signed early in his career before his signature got more refined, even possibly during his rookie year. That doesn't bring a huge premium now but could down the line. Look at Mickey Mantle signature prices before he added his iconic swoopes, and you will see they get a premium. This could be something to look for with Griffey too.

Geoff wins. I’ll take household names over hits of no namers any day. No name hits will be worthless in 5 years when there are new no name hits flooding the market. Even HOF “#/#” and jersey cards from 10 years ago can be had for $5-20. No one should ever spend $500 on anything other than all-time greats ie Brady LeBron Mahomes Curry.

Vintage is better. Hofs are Hofs forever. These players that play today still can get into trouble or injured as we saw with Ja and deshaun Watson. Buy the guys who have a full ticket to the Hof or just buy Hofs. Better investment in my opinion

If Kawhi wins the title and Finals MVP this year he'll be only one of two players to ever accomplish this on (3) teams, the other player is Lebron. It took Lebron (17) years to do it (2003-2020). If Kawhi does it, it would only have taken (12) years to do it (2011-2023). He even has enough time left in his career to maybe do it on a 4th team like Golden State. Kawhi also spent literally half of his career injured. No disrespect to Jordan but if he wins it all this year...that man is the GOAT. Plain and simple.
