WELCOME BACK everyone! ALSO CHECK IT OUT: Channel Makers just published a great video reviewing video intros and hosted by 2 of their team members! Check it out: th-cam.com/video/PBorOWZ4Uwo/w-d-xo.html
Hi nice to see you back! I saw the channel maker video and it was good content. However, I missed a click. They didn't even bother to introduce themselves or show/say their names. Donu think it's unimportant that the audience don't know your name?
Hi, I know that TH-cam does closed captions, but they’re not always grammatically correct. Would you like me to do yours? I’m not a scammer. I know this request looks bizarre, but I do my own and I don’t mind doing yours. Even the deaf should get your advice. I used to watch you on channel makers and I thought it was your channel. I really love what you do and I put your advice into my channel. You say everything in a way that is easy to understand because you also demonstrate it which is easy for me to do as a person who has a communication and learning disorder, it makes it easier to learn from someone like you. I’m so glad that you made your own channel. Keep up the good work.
You deserve to get monetized. Congrats! I follow both you and Channel Makers because your content is extremely useful. My channel is new, but I firmly believe that there is a big audience out there for my channel. Beluga creates tangentially similar content to mine and they have a big audience. It’s just a matter of time for my channel to explode.
So there's an audience who wants to see beautiful HD Hawaii Content made by a gamer nerd born in the 80's who grew up watching Transformers and Rescue Rangers? maybe, title... maybe
"Never forget it's about real people doing things that matter." THAT hit differently. I very much appreciate the tremendous work you do, Nate. Thank you!
Don't look up, do's and don'ts for TH-cam channels. If your audience is already there there are no "don'ts"! Just be you and do your thing. I'm a firm believer in whatever you are meant to do, there is no competition!
Nate, you sir are the reason why I went from no voice and always shy to over 500 subs and still growing. Keep it going man! I loved this advice because I’ve seen it myself in my channel. I was stuck around 70 subs the moment I pivoted slightly and started to think bigger I grew bigger. Thank you for all you do for us smaller creators!
Nate, this video made me cry. It touched me deep to the core. I am in my 10th year of doing TH-cam and almost at 10,000 subs! Thank you for these tips because people always say act as if before you make it and your beautifully illustrated how to do it to become a bigger TH-camr. You spoke directly to me. Thank you!!!
Wow 🎉congrats on 10 years! Your comment is like a sign from the universe today because I literally posted my first video today of a 10 year TH-cam experiment. Thanks for sharing this and congrats 🎉 again!!
I was going to say "how do I begin here" but I think it is safe for me to say here that: 1) I am crying my eyes out! 2) This has been the most emotionally impactful content creation video I have seen in my journey since October 2022. 3) Because it has had this emotional impact on me, it proves to me that, whatever the content might be, it IS a VERY emotional journey. 4) That I am in excellent, like minded, company. 5) That I need to get out of my own way for 5 minutes and instead of dancing like no one is watching, I need to let my dreams be free long enough to visualise the possibilities. 6) This video is going to stay with me for a VERY long time and will probably govern how I apply myself from this point on. 7) I thank you for that. I am now going to watch this video again. Cry a little more and dare to dream. Much love to you Nate xxx
This is such a unique way to view your TH-cam channel. A whole different perspective which is actually helpful, and truthful. Because, everyone's audience really is always there, and knowing that, you can be less stressed. Thanks, Nate!
SOOOOO glad you are still on TH-cam! You have helped my channel in many ways….still have heaps to improve but…your tips are so valuable!! Keep up the great work because we are so grateful for your genuine and generous help!!!!!!!!!!!
"Real people doing things that matter"! That's a great insight. It took me a while to realize that my channel was starting to have an impact on people's lives. Now that I understand it and see it happening, it drives me to keep going. Doing something that makes a difference in a positive way is incredibly rewarding. You have certainly done this for MANY people.
Something I've tried to live by: "Direction is more important than position." If you are at the bottom, as long as you are progressing, then you are going to get there. If you are at the top, if you aren't growing, you'll soon be dropping off. So direction is more important than position.
This video was JUST what I needed. Not only for my YT channel but also for my mental space while I'm trying to get my art and writing career off the ground. Thank you! 💜
Man, you brought up something that I’ve been thinking about NON-STOP. I get comments like 3:36 ALOT and whereas they feel amazing and I’m extremely grateful for the people saying it, I can’t help but start to question WHY I’m not growing to the level they feel I should be at. This really helped shift my perspective and this video is extremely valuable. Thank you 🖤
I like this idea Nate. When i started my channel i told a few friends then after i just allowed my channel to grow organically and as you said there is already an audience. Now in my second year on youtube my channel audience as grown to over 5000 subscribers.
I love how this goes straight to the mindset aspect of things. I was honestly expecting "practical" advice on how I should probably network and do a whole bunch of marketing stuff lol. This is a fresh take that I haven't heard anyone touch on. I usually trust such advice more cause i know it's guaranteed to work if I'm working from the inside out. Loooved this video. Thank you 💜💜💜
Hey Nate - I just want to say a huge huge thank you. Words can't describe how you have helped change my life. I started a channel about two years ago and had never done anything TH-cam related before. I needed to learn everything from scripting, filming, editing, publishing and I learned most of that from you. But most of all I learned how to do what you talk about in this video - truly believe that my audience exists and that I can be successful. Lo and behold I'm being hired for my absolute dream job running digital video for one of the largest soccer media companies in the US. I did the work, but you were there most of the way to help me onwards. I know it's not "you vs Channel Makers" and I had even been a part of Project 24 specifically because of you, but even today both of your thumbnails were next to each other on my home page... guess which one I clicked on first. Thank you Nate, good luck on your new project. I'll be watching!
I found your channel a few weeks ago and it’s encouraging to see you started here too! I’m pretty early in my journey (I started this channel probably 3 years ago but didn’t commit to it until Jan this year). Hopefully I can continue to grow similarly to how you were able to :) I’m happy for you and good luck with the new opportunity!
@@SoccerScenarios Everyone starts somewhere! My older videos are horrible lol but you can't drive a parked car. Just start moving and producing videos learning as much as you can along the way, you'll do great!
Hey Nate! This is just what I needed to hear! Thank you so much for posting this! It was amazing to hear and inspirational! Knowing my audience is there definitely helps shifts my mindset to be even more confident on my videos! 💯💯
Congrats Nate! You're going to be fine. The ONLY TH-cam educator I look forward to watching because I know I'll get something new and inspiring EVERY time....
This^^^ yes. People watch these days because they like the person they’re listening too. It’s already looking like channel makers is going to take a little time getting into the groove of things and finding their flow without Nate. Meanwhile, Nate, if you’re reading this, you didn’t even skip a beat. 🦾🔥 It’s also extremely apparent, that Nate, you know all this stuff like the back of your hand. Nate doesn’t just speak with topic authority. Nate speaks with a depth of knowledge. Like walking into a grand hall. You can audibly feel the depth of the room. I can honestly say I wouldn’t have had the success I’ve had if it wasn’t for all the advice and good knowledge I’ve received through watching nate on channel makers. 🙏❤️🔥 So much love and gratitude Nate!
This video is exactly what I needed, today. I’m starting my own channel, working like crazy to learn so many things, and hoping to publish on my birthday next week … all while shooing away those aggravating doubts. 😝 Thank you, this resonates. I started noticing your content about 6 months ago, and today I booped the like button, subscribed to your email list, and now I’m leaving this comment. Three things I don’t do all that frequently. I appreciate you, thank you!! 💯👌🏼😎
That hit close to home. I had these momentum thoughts for a few months now and you are absolutely right. I did act upon having a bigger audience when starting out but I never thought about moving on when I finally reached that number.
Hallo :) Ganz ehrlich, du kannst noch viel mehr Leute erreichen. Wenn ich es bis 26k mit ARK Content geschafft habe, dann solltest du viel, viel weiterkommen.
I honestly hadn't watched a Channel Makers videos in a while. Not for any particular reason, but I just got caught up with life happening. After seeing these three uploads of yours so far, however, I'm really grateful for your authenticity, vulnerability, and integrity, and I plan on sticking around because of that. "It's about real people doing things that matter." Thank you for what you're doing!! 🙌💯
Thanks Nate! I've been watching you for about 6 months in researching for the launch of my channel. Your insight and passion is more valuable than you will ever know. Keep moving forward and stay constructive!
Wow you’ve just changed my thinking! I was holding my best ideas back for ‘better times’ when I have an audience. But it seems I need to do the opposite😅 I will try that out, thank you!
Yes, this is so great! It’s exactly what I have been thinking over the last month. I’ve been imagining at least 100 people showing up to my lives and it helps. Takes getting used to but mindful reframes do change the game.
Wow Nate! I'm glad I stuck around to the end. I have been watching you on Channel Makers for a long time. This was one of your best videos ever.. I am affected and I appreciate you more than I can possibly express. I'm turning 60 next year and my journey has been slow on here. I was actually considering just giving up.. you inspired me to keep going. The biggest thing was your statement "never forget it's about real people doing things that matter" - I work in tech..in SEO and I'm dealing with AI nipping at my heels so I had thrown up my hands.. thinking being a content creator would now be even harder. Thank you for instilling hope in us all.. we got this! Thanks again and congratulations on the quick growth!! Looking forward to more!
Hi! I’m 50 plus, too, and my channel is growing very slowly but steadily. I popped on your channel looking for basic, user friendly, common tech issues, especially for us older folk, like how to use your iPhone calendar, how to use iPhone Notes, how to set phone reminders, how to send group texts, how to make a Zoom call, how to face the window/light when on camera and not sit with your back against the light, etc.😆 When exploring most of your video titles, I didn’t even know what these things were. They were so far over my head and unrelateable. Many of us older folk, unlike you, are way behind the tech ball and were not raised in the tech era, so we struggle! I believe your channel has great merit, but it seems to be marketed to the 2% of the 50 plus population who knows what you’re speaking of. If you modified your content to actually help the mature adult with simple, detailed, concise answers to everyday tech issues, I feel that you would get more traction. This is just my opinion, so please take what you like and discard the rest. All the best!🌻
Congrats on first video. 🥳 If before, people thought your videos were personal, but they were part of a bigger picture. There is no doubt this is 100% Nate.
Hey Nate, been following you for a couple of years on channel makers. Happy to see you have your own channel now and moving on. Just fyi your audio levels seem low might want to boost in post or change microphones. Appreciated the content and tips for audience growth :)
100 % Nate. I told myself the same thing a while back; even if my videos only got through to one person I’d still keep making videos. And I do, my channel is small, haven’t had it going super long. I don’t get much in terms of thumbs up or comments but the ones I do get here and there are a nice little surprise and it gives you that added fuel to try and provide the best content that you can 😉
You literally just taught a law of assumption class which is what my other channel is about. I even have a course called Act as If. The last part of this video is why we all followed you here. Thanks Nate 🥰
I remember getting my first “why doesn’t this guy have more subscribers” comment. Albeit it was on a short and not a long form video. But man, it felt good! It let me know that I’m doing the right things. And you’re right. The main thing I learned working in marketing is that it’s all about the PEOPLE! Just create value over a long period of time and they’ll come. Great video! 💪🏽
So I took this thought process and applied it to my latest video I recorded it. I'm fixing to start editing it now. But it was a day I was supposed to do one thing, it didn't work out but turned out to be a much more awesome day anyway. I decided "this is real life, this is the exact community I set out to meet, I should capture this moment and share how the day changed". I knew my core audience (which is small) would appreciate it. But I tried to be very confident as if I had 1M subscribers. Even if this video flops, it will be one of my favorite videos that I will always cherish simply because it is so real.
O wow, I am LOVING this direction your going. Going down the power of the mind avenue which is absolutely powerful and works 1000000000% countless examples obliterate any question of it. I LOVE THAT, knowing you have what you want brings it too you. Can't wait to see how you expand upon this moving forward. Hella happy for you Nate and very excited to see what you pump out moving forward. Pce out bro
Nate I've been 3 weeks and I'm trying to share my journey of paying off $124k of debt in just 16 months back in 2020 and I have remained focused towards retirement goal and increased rental property my lifestyle financially and became a minimalist... 71 subscribers and 52 video..mostly shorts, but I really just can't figure this thing out because I want to share that journey to hope others could use to help them
Nate. First of all, I am super happy for you. I found channel makers around six months ago and I honestly thought it was only you on that channel. You are a huge inspiration and I am so happy that you now get to create this completely on your own terms on your own channel. And that reaction, keep those coming. They make this channel you, not another unrelatable channel. 👍🏻
(Sorry this is long but I'm kind of chocked up ;-) Gee, Nate what a fantastic way to end this video. That scene you shared (thank you) is exactly what we're all feeling for you, too. You see, I think that you're really getting to us here because so many YT businesses have a person at the core who broke away from a scene that wasn't truly fulfilling them (in our family, it was my husband and myself). I guess your viewers are kind of living vicariously through you, in a sense. You're on the "hero's journey" and we want to be on it with you. We've all had that point in our lives, too, where we had to face our boss and say, 'guess what? I'm leaving. Yeah, I really mean it.' And we know they'll replace us, but in that moment, it is a huge heroic moment in our personal lives. Or we finally dump that career that kept us bound to sleepless nights, sleeping pills, ulcers, or depression, and said, okay, I'm Cortez burning the bridges. I'm going forward, no matter what. You don't know how many breakfasts here at my place you've been the subject of conversation. My husband doesn't yet follow you online but he knows your name. I say "Nate" and he knows exactly who you are and all about what you are doing, because I've been telling him your story. I think your family must be pretty supportive to you. Same here in mine. I am honestly watching and wishing you so much success and (however you want to call it) - that universal love that one attracts when they put that same feeling out to others in the universe, and attracts it back. It's like a pendulum - when you put out honesty, kindness, and authenticity to others, they give it back to you. I think that is what is happening here. I will share your inspirational video with my husband this week. God bless you, Nate. Your friend Robin Bird.
I have been wanting to start my TH-cam channel for so long and, after your help and Channel Makers help I am ready. Decided that after my surgery tomorrow, once I'm coherent of course, I'm going to film and post. Even though I don't have the best camera, just going to use my phone and grow my tools as the channel grows. Thank you for all of your encouragement through your videos to us. It's helped me tremendously 😊
Congrats Nate! Were not quite there yet, but you’ve been a big help along the way and we’re glad we found your new channel. And you’re right, even if we don’t ever have a huge audience, we’d still want to do this. ☕️🇨🇦☕️
Goodness Nate. You are in your JOY state right now and it's so obvious. Keep this going, let it pour right out of you. Your magic is a stellar combo of analytical, emotional heart and soul-fire that makes you one in a million. You are the reason my channel blew up and is now supporting a level of joy I couldn't have dreamed. Not to mention a lifestyle that will allow my husband to retire if he so chooses!
It's Kristy!! So glad to see you here! Thank you for your kind words, and I'm so happy to hear about your continued success! Right now my thought is something like "what if... I could have FUN building this and other channels?" Of course there's moments of drudgery in almost anything, but what if it could be mostly fun, all the time?
So glad you’re doing your thing. It’s refreshing to see and as a mindset coach I see far too often people working hard to make other people’s dreams come true. Good on you Nate 👍🏼
I'm happy for you Nate. You teach people how to be independent but weren't independent yourself. Seems this is the right next move. I'm glad you are on your own. I still love P24 and Channel Makers and will watch both. But I'm super excited for what you build here.
I started crying when I heard your goodbye. Finding this channel was a blessing. Thanks you Nate, from the bottom of my heart. I have to say, Channel Makers is very original, and in almost every interesting video you speak numbers and do experiments. Big props for this channel, and PLEASE, continue making experiments.
Nate, these suggestions are brilliant. On the surface they’re simple, but their impact is profound. True success begins within each of us, beginning with our mindset. What we do as creators is personal. Yes, personal to us but most importantly personal to our viewers. As I create, I literally envision a single viewer and how my content provides value to them. Then I expand that vision with a mental image of hundreds of thousands of like-minded people… viewers. Kind of like a globe with pins all over the map… thinking globally. Thanks for the great advice you provide and best of luck with your new endeavor.
WOW! This is one of the best how to grow on TH-cam videos I’ve ever watched (probably seen hundreds at this point ) Nate you rock, I’ve been a fan a long time and over the moon you made your own channel. It just feels so right to see your full creative potential come out. Thank you for this epic video and the part at the end is so inspiring. As a fellow creator it is a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do. God bless you and your family Nate! -Jarran🕊️✨
I love this! Yes, I didn't realize how I've helped people with my channel that cannot visit here to Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park due to something and I'm fully aware now ...My TH-cam*Family* is amazing and I'm so grateful to have started this 🙏🌄🐻🏞️.. Hello from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park
I know you built Channel Makers from basically you to a team but honestly you were Channel Makers to all of us. I’m sure your new adventure is scary but please know, you haven’t missed a beat and while you may be doing it all right now, you’re kicking butt.
Absolutely agree with this! Talk as if you already have an audience and they will come. I have a larger following on TikTok and have been creating content over there for 2 years, but am new to TH-cam. I started consistently creating videos here since June and gained 15k subscribers in 6 weeks and do the same exact type of content I create for TikTok. I get lots of comments like you mentioned, where people are surprised that my channel here is small but it is quickly growing. Love your perspective on all of this. Being new to TH-cam, I've been binging a lot of your videos on Channel Makers. I'm excited to see you have your own platform now and am looking forward to watching your own thing grow!
Nate, everything you've said here is absolutely true and I now know it from my own experience. Thank you for all your inspirational advice. I'm working my way through all the vids on this new channel and your approach is so inspiring. The Teddy Roosevelt quote you presented on a more recent video really drove it home for me. (I'm a historian and I had heard the quote before, truncated, but thank you so much for reading the whole thing in context--it really makes a difference). I love your new channel and I'll be with you all the way!
Congratulations on getting monetized. You deserve it. Your videos are so real and raw. It definitely builds the connection. I appreciate seeing the flashback clip at the end.
Gosh that last clip. That’s real and that’s how I feel about my community. Even if it was one person who no longer felt alone with VEDS, that would be enough. ❤ great work Nate
Nothing is more heartwarming to see than the real emotion 💜 That is so awesome you actually care that much. And that is why you deserve all of these people and even more than that. Keep going, Nate, you are amazing.
Woah came here for technical knowledge but the moment you started talking, I just knew you were going to go deep in energies and the universe. Thank you for the confirmation, really grateful ♡ Edit - Also look at the comments! This video has a typical technical marketing title and yet you ended up attracting just the right audience. Love it
I think watching you go through this transition has shown me that above anything else, TH-cam is about connection, and about people. Because we as an audience are here for YOU because we have grown to trust you and love you through a screen. But then i watch you say that you are here for US and it’s just really cool. People spend so much time trying to game the algorithm but it’s just about being yourself and being helpful for your audience, which is what you’ve said ALL along. 😊
Nate, I have been watching your content from when you first started off with the team you did and I want to say thank you... thank you for still being on here teaching. My wife and I have turned a point in our lives where we know we need to learn this stuff if we are going to elevate and make something happen for ourselves. THank you :)
Thanks Nate! Heading out to film today and you are so right, have been lucky enough to go out with a channel maker that is million+ subs and watching them interact with people, and thinking some day when I have that kind of audience I’ll have the confidence to go all in like that… you are so right! Today I’m heading out like they are already there! Film it and they will come 😊
What you cover here was so fresh and profound to me that I immediately needed to watch it again, and will probably return to it until these things get ingrained into me. Thanks, Nate. ❤ Edit: was more like 4 times listening, and then I wrote everything down, haha.
“It’s about real people doing things that matter”. Thank you for the great advice and motivation Nate! Now it’s time for me to apply the advice to my life 😅
I do believe my audience is out there, and I think early mistakes have harmed the channel by not getting the videos in front of the right audience. It does feel like that is changing slowly. Life got in the way too for a while with my parents dementia, part of the reason I film what I do, to bring Britain and its history nearer to those who cant get out there for themselves. I have tried to implement changes I have learned from you in the past, and it seems to be working. Great advice, as always
It sometimes helps to go to the social media platform where your audience grows most the fastest. My audience is much larger and very engaged on Facebook (over 15,000 followers with top 25% engagement). I've come to the conclusion that it's important to have a presence across platforms. But I also recognize that different social media platforms have different demographic audiences. So, we've decided to focus on building up an audience on one platform at a time. So we keep posting on TH-cam but we focus our efforts on the platform where the growth is most dramatic.
I'm so glad you're back, Nate. You have helped me so much in growing my channel, and I thank you so much. I think I can speak for most, but the way you speak and explain things to us makes it so easy to understand.
Howdy Nate, it's absolutely wonderful to see you back in action! Hearing your signature "howdy howdy everyone" greeting truly feels like a warm welcome home. I'm a big fan of your videos and truly appreciate the time and effort you put into creating them. Keep up the fantastic work!
It’s the ability to talk to your audience as if there were thousands watching and cheering you on, but also to talk as if you were having a one-to-one conversation. I think you have the talent of doing both, Nate.
I've said ths in my email, but I so appreciate how genuine and considerate you are. Not only do you intentionally think about our needs, desires, fears, etc., but you recognize and appreciate that we're people. Real, flawed, and splendacious people. Thanks for your support of us and our goals!
How great to see you back in business and in your own name this time. I've watched your advice since the start of Channel Makers and always found it inspiring - both because of the actual tips and roadmaps, but even more so, I think, because your enthusiasm and passion has always shone through. After three years on TH-cam I finally feel like my own channel is starting to fly. Thank you for sharing your reaction at the end, ti was heartwarming. You really have touched and changed a lot of peoples lives. Keep it up!
Nate, you were such a source of inspiration. I started my own channel about two weeks ago and basically watch anything and everything from channel makers I could get my hands on. Thanks for always bringing the motivation and passion. If you ever launch any type of course or offer, any kind of training for aspiring content creators, outside of channel makers, please let me know!
Absolutely loved this video. Love the strategy, the mindset and the manifestation techniques interweaved. Loved how authentic you are and the beautiful reflection while watching your first video! Incredible info, incredible channel and an incredible human!!!!😊
Nate, I'm so glad you have your own channel now. You have been my favourite "yt advice person" since years. Can't wait for your first own product to launch. Anything in the pipeline? Even just live Q&A's, or something simple. You will be surprised how much your audience will show up for you!
Thank you so much for always encouraging us and also supporting us. Yes, you give us a support by your encouraging words and advice. I really do feel like when I’m watching you I’m listening to a friend. Congratulations on your success and you know you can only go up from here.
I love the presence you have on this channel way more than the other channel. The personal connection is the most important factor for subscribing to a channel for me. Subscribed from one Nate to another.
I appreciate you more than I can adequately express. You give me hope that I can make a big difference for students struggling in science! Thank you, Nate.❤
Thank you for this. For a long time I couldn't figure out what type of mindset I was supposed to be having when trying to build my channel. I lost motivation for a while, now just changing my thinking to believe my audience already exists, they just need to find me, really helps with my motivation.
3:30 I get quite a lot of comments like that, I have for the last 7 months and it's definitely a massive confidence booster. I'm just looking to break out even further from here! I second-guess myself a lot about my video ideas, thumbnails, titles, etc, so I really appreciated this video. Gave me peace of mind in a way
Nice video! It’s always cool to see another person’s perspective on these things. I don’t really have an interactive following but I definitely have a following! Looking forward toward the future
"ACT AS IF..." is the first thing I was taught when I started selling insurance. It was one of the things the top sales people in my company told me... It's a good lesson. But I'm trying to find an audience that I'm not sure exists at all. (I just started a second channel and people my age are over 70) who are still aware of the important things going on in society and who have the time and curiosity to tune into TH-cam in order to find out more... (politics - no, religion - no, science - yes, education - yes, music - yes...). I don't know where to start to even find the first picture. (And I was a researcher...) Help!
Look up Fran. I think she is targeting a similar audience. She also invents little things like the “Franocaster” or something like that? Anyway - that’s the first thing that popped in my head that would help… also, to keep in mind that yesterday’s “50-80” years old is not the same as today’s… the modern group in that range has a more generally humble approach. That generation spent a great deal of time doing a routine, but not an awfully large amount of time really learning or maturing in some other ways - but now they’re very interested in that kind of growth - I dare say more than any other generation, to be honest. They’re the most prominent commenters on videos, the nicest people, the most humble; they’re ready and willing to learn… almost without a matter about “politics” or “religion”; though, you will find the majority are common sense individuals in a general sense politically, but unfortunately easier to confuse spiritually, ironically owing to their humility (which actually ironically creates a pride in one’s own personal growth which is counter-productive to true spirituality, but I digress…) TL;DR - treat that group like they’re 25 years old. Treat the 20-35 year olds like they’re 15. Treat the 35-50 year olds like they’re 80… and treat kids above 12 like they’re 20(minus sex or profanity) because those are the generational attitudes, basically; due to the confusion of society at so many levels…. Hope you do well, ma’am - and obviously I’m speaking my OPINION - I know your generation understands that, but the one directly following mine doesn’t(I’m 39); so I’m saying it aloud so I’m not accused of arrogance without context or whatever else might often occur… I’m a researcher, too; but that’s just my way of life - not a career.
@@TarzanHedgepeth Thank you... I know there are people like me - I know there are probably a lot of them. I just don't see them on TH-cam so I have a hard time visualizing them and trying to guess how to create for that incredibly diverse audience is a big puzzle. I volunteered at the local library for several years and although we had a section for "young adults", we didn't have a section for "senior age adults"... why is that? I need to know. (lol...)
@@nellies-taekook-journals Society will always dismiss the best of itself… because that generation is a mirror of what is and what could be and what should be (with a smattering of what should have been different; but just a little) - and people don’t want to wash their faces… and they’ll run with that LITTLE BIT that should have been different and use that as their deflection and excuse to be EXTREMELY wrong… More based in the physical reality - maybe it’s your job to write down what a senior section should look like and what it should be filled with? If you can’t find it… make it! Maybe make that your channel focus for a while. What are YOU looking for when you are seeking a senior section? What images come to mind? Start there. I imagine some of that would be some philosophy and some war and some poetry, and grief and loss, and specific skill sets like singing and writing and painting, older music and biographies, genetics and ancestry, etc… but I don’t know for sure. What do you think?
Nate Hooray for you taking that leap and trying something new. I’m glad you have a new channel. I have grown to look forward to your in-depth analysis and overall great personality. I see your channel gaining more momentum quicker than anything you have done previously. Remember to breathe, smile and enjoy life as best as you can. Thank you again for all that you do! ~Norm
Wow… I am one of those audience members who happened to be served your channel and I’m so glad. Trying to grow a channel on TH-cam is a constant struggle and there’s been so many times I have wanted to stop… Thank you for the motivation
Hey Nate, I just wanted to let you know, thanks to you, and your work with Channel Makers, I monetized an entertainment YT channel in 21 days. I transformed a channel I just had for Twitch VODs into a living, breathing channel. This is just the beginning. I now know that YT is possible. I'm going to start an education channel next, based on the fact that I have a PhD in chemistry and am currently a special education chemistry teacher, looking for ways to intersect my passion for entertainment, video, writing and education. You are changing lives. Keep it up.
So awesome to see TH-camrs from different niches finally talking about the mental shifts that need to happen to achieve your goals. Reality is a reflection of your beliefs, believe something is true and it will become so.
I completely agree with this. I’ve noticed in the last year myself with my channel, that i haven’t been pushing myself the same way i have in the previous years, and this entire last year my channel has been kinda just staying in the same spot. But then this years I finally said I want to get things ready so my channel can look like I’m much larger. Ive also found a trick i can do in live video sense I’m faceless which I WANT to learn to do so it looks like a know what I am doing, and not just the average guy. And beyond that finally decided to use both stream and video format again, and that decision alone has helped so much. I went from 1-2 subs a month for the last 3-6 months to 34 this last 28 days. And views nearly quadrupled. Crazy what a simple perfective and what you do with it can change.
Hey Nate, I came across your video today, having a little bit of doubt, and anxiety on starting my channel not just for me, but for all new dads and father figures that are coming into the world. I had anxiety and a little bit of fear on publishing my videos, because what if it doesn’t work out. I’ve been watching your video multiple times, and it has been giving me the courage to move forward with my channel and to help those that need help just like I do. Thank you again and much love from Texas. - Alejandro from NewDad
it’s rare that you get youtube advice which is actually unique AND useful. This video is that. Thank you for the awesome content Nate, I owe so much of my TH-cam success to your advice!❤
I’m getting ready to start a channel, and terrified, and your clip talking to the camera from reading your first few comments- ugh such a great thing! Thank you for sharing
WELCOME BACK everyone!

Congrats on getting monetized. You deserve it Nate, look forward to seeing your growth explode.
You're just so nice :) Congrats on getting monetized already! You deserve it!
“Your audience is already there” that’s actually such a powerful quote, I’ll use that on my next project ❤

Exactly.
"Never forget it's about real people doing things that matter." THAT hit differently. I very much appreciate the tremendous work you do, Nate. Thank you!

You’re so right. It def hit differently.
Yep... it was an aha moment for me too.
Yes!
Me too man
Don't look up, do's and don'ts for TH-cam channels.

That's called perfectionism. And perfectionism kills results.
Act as if you have 1M subs, and assume the feeling of the desire fulfilled
I was going to say "how do I begin here" but I think it is safe for me to say here that:
1) I am crying my eyes out!

Happy to help!

If anyone thought you were "just a presenter" on Channel Makers you have proven them wrong already. These videos are brilliant. Thank you
Something I've tried to live by: "Direction is more important than position." If you are at the bottom, as long as you are progressing, then you are going to get there. If you are at the top, if you aren't growing, you'll soon be dropping off. So direction is more important than position.
Luv this
You are a confidence maker, Nate. So good to see you and hear you talk so freely...

Hopefully I can continue to grow similarly to how you were able to :)
I’m happy for you and good luck with the new opportunity!
@@SoccerScenarios Everyone starts somewhere! My older videos are horrible lol but you can't drive a parked car. Just start moving and producing videos learning as much as you can along the way, you'll do great!

It’s already looking like channel makers is going to take a little time getting into the groove of things and finding their flow without Nate.
Meanwhile, Nate, if you’re reading this, you didn’t even skip a beat. 🦾🔥
It’s also extremely apparent, that Nate, you know all this stuff like the back of your hand.

Looking forward to more!
so true great hope!
Inspiring to all of us!!
Greetings Came over from channel makers Congratulations on you new channel and monetization You always have fantastic insights and thoughts 🙏
Pce out bro

Man, I’m trying with everything I’ve got. Nothing will stop me!

Nate, everything you've said here is absolutely true and I now know it from my own experience. Thank you for all your inspirational advice. I'm working my way through all the vids on this new channel and your approach is so inspiring. The Teddy Roosevelt quote you presented on a more recent video really drove it home for me. Yes Nate really wants to connect with his audience. Some channels have hosts that nobody knows their name..
Woah came here for technical knowledge but the moment you started talking, I just knew you were going to go deep in energies and the universe. Thank you for the confirmation, really grateful ♡
Edit - Also look at the comments!
Well said 👍🏻
Nate, I have been watching your content from when you first started off with the team you did and I want to say thank you... thank you for still being on here teaching. Today I’m heading out like they are already there! Film it and they will come 😊
This is great advice. When you think confidently your mind and energy changes instantly.
What you cover here was so fresh and profound to me that I immediately needed to watch it again, and will probably return to it until these things get ingrained into me. Thanks, Nate. ❤

I feel like everything is back to normal. 😊
Welcome back Nate! 🤓 Congrats on 10k!
Thanks for your sincerity! Thanks for being down-to-earth even if you already belong to the big league! 💖😍💖
It’s the ability to talk to your audience as if there were thousands watching and cheering you on, but also to talk as if you were having a one-to-one conversation.
I think you have the talent of doing both, Nate.
My social media manager friend said this to me 💯
I've said ths in my email, but I so appreciate how genuine and considerate you are.
Keep it up!
Emperor's new clothes but you ain't foolin' me, mate.
Channel Signature is the best🔥
Thank you so much for always encouraging us and also supporting us. Yes, you give us a support by your encouraging words and advice. I really do feel like when I’m watching you I’m listening to a friend. Congratulations on your success and you know you can only go up from here.
I love the presence you have on this channel way more than the other channel. The personal connection is the most important factor for subscribing to a channel for me. Subscribed from one Nate to another.
I appreciate you more than I can adequately express. You give me hope that I can make a big difference for students struggling in science! Thank you, Nate.❤
As a small german TH-camr, who is trying to help people as well, this was exactly what i need now. Thank you for sharing this content with us!
Gave me peace of mind in a way
Congratulations on the quick growth Nate! I hope it shows you how much value you give all of us creators 👍
They’re the most prominent commenters on videos, the nicest people, the most humble; they’re ready and willing to learn… almost without a matter about “politics” or “religion”; though, you will find the majority are common sense individuals in a general sense politically, but unfortunately easier to confuse spiritually, ironically owing to their humility (which actually ironically creates a pride in one’s own personal growth which is counter-productive to true spirituality, but I digress…)
TL;DR - treat that group like they’re 25 years old. Treat the 20-35 year olds like they’re 15. Treat the 35-50 year olds like they’re 80… and treat kids above 12 like they’re 20(minus sex or profanity) because those are the generational attitudes, basically; due to the confusion of society at so many levels….
Hope you do well, ma’am - and obviously I’m speaking my OPINION - I know your generation understands that, but the one directly following mine doesn’t(I’m 39); so I’m saying it aloud so I’m not accused of arrogance without context or whatever else might often occur…
I’m a researcher, too; but that’s just my way of life - not a career.
(lol...)
@@nellies-taekook-journals Society will always dismiss the best of itself… because that generation is a mirror of what is and what could be and what should be (with a smattering of what should have been different; but just a little) - and people don’t want to wash their faces… and they’ll run with that LITTLE BIT that should have been different and use that as their deflection and excuse to be EXTREMELY wrong…
More based in the physical reality - maybe it’s your job to write down what a senior section should look like and what it should be filled with? If you can’t find it… make it! Maybe make that your channel focus for a while. What are YOU looking for when you are seeking a senior section? What images come to mind? Start there. I imagine some of that would be some philosophy and some war and some poetry, and grief and loss, and specific skill sets like singing and writing and painting, older music and biographies, genetics and ancestry, etc… but I don’t know for sure. What do you think?
@@TarzanHedgepeth Thank you. You're right. I need to do some reflecting...
Thank you for this ! I am still learning and pushing here on TH-cam. Keep pushing guys !
Keep it up.
That means a lot to hear, thank you!
Hey Nate,
I came across your video today, having a little bit of doubt, and anxiety on starting my channel not just for me, but for all new dads and father figures that are coming into the world.
I appreciate that!
I’m getting ready to start a channel, and terrified, and your clip talking to the camera from reading your first few comments- ugh such a great thing! Thank you for sharing
