The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, UK

Hi everyone, Matt here. Here's a quick blitz through Suite 308 at The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. I stayed here in July 2021 as a family member was celebrating their birthday. I didn't know that I would be staying in a suite until arrival, and it was a wonderful surprise! Because of my busy schedule in Eastbourne, I didn't have time to edit this video so you're watching it exactly how it was made with mistakes and everything; it's as raw as it can be! I think this is Eastbourne's only 5 star hotel and I had a wonderful time. The food and service are genuinely first class and the staff are very courteous and attentive without being over bearing. The doorman - what can I say! The. Best. I'd like to mention Tony who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure things were just right.

Great review of this grand old lady, and yes well said, totally agree, it's a lovely place, the ONLY 5* hotel on ANY coast of the UK. But perfect review, and yes, doormen are fantastic 😉

I visited the grand for a special two days loved it.The breakfast was amazing.Also the indoor swimming pool.I am hoping to go back again.It is beautiful at Christmas.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes I agree, the breakfast is really good. I like the way the baked beans have their own container on the plate - looks great too.

Obscure Trivia ! Claude Debussy stayed here in the summer of 1905 . He put the finishing touches to La Mer whilst there.
Also Karl Marx used to pop down to Eastbourne for the
weekend . In between planning the overthrow of Capitalism.
