- The Shaman pairs up very well with any melee class, but with the Monk being the strongest early to mid game class on a fresh server, creating a Barbarian Shaman will allow you to create one the best combinations in the game starting day #1! This tutorial covers where to hunt, spells to buy, and how to run the gauntlet through Blackburrow to the Qeynos hills.

Everfrost is a good starting area, you can stay there untill level 16-18 and if there are mammoth groups even to level 28. There are many things to kill in the tundra and mammoth tusks sell 8 pp each which is amazing for brand new char

Spirit pouch is a good zero weight bag spell, nice for heavy loot

I was surprised to find you were were wrong about the feet like cat buff. For AC, the two numbers are not your AC and max AC. First number is AC from armor which reduces the damage you take when hit. Second number is your dodge chance. So the buff for agi makes you harder to hit.

How many people are usually on the server during prime player hours/low playing hours? I am playing p99 right now but might want to come back when the new tlp server launches in March
It was a lot on Agnarr and should be about the same for Coirnav. Since the TLP servers use pickzones, people can spread out and not be crammed into on zone. Some pickzones hold something like 30-50 depending on the zone. During the first week, Unrest had almost 90 pickzones at the peak time. When the majority of players got to lower guk, there were well over 100 pickzones. The off hours are the best time to play because a lot of pickzones will be at minimum amount of players to keep it open and you will still have lots of picks to choose from. Give it a try for at least a month. The opening of a new TLP is usually the biggest EQlive event of the year.
I though this "guide" would cover some basic newbie quests/items, like the spider fungusm gnoll fangs, goblin bead necklace. What about basic crafting like blacksmithing and tailoring. I see lvl 15 characters still with their original shirts on...
With simple sewing kit and low lvl blacksmith you can outfit the shaman quite well and obtain low lvl spells with Spider fungus quests. One very good advise is buy backpacks!! Collect all the crap and google to what quests the items lead to and if worth keeping.
Hmm, I've never done any of the crafting, but that is a good idea to cover that. As for backpacks, I just keep hunting until the large 6 slot bags drop. As for characters with their original shirts/robes, on new TLP servers there were level 50's with the newbie robe. On coirnav, I was still wering the Gossamer robe until level 32.
Hey man! So I've reached level 60 on the Aradune server and got a couple AAs. What are some things to do solo? I've done my epic 1.0 up to Lord Ghiosk, I've done the Rallic Pack quest. I've farmed ogres for plat and leveled my alchemy. I've researched and obtained all my spells except the 3 most expensive ones atm. I need a mount but it seems like that's either real money or 10k+ plat. I've been saving the gems for my Skyshine armor or one of the 3 different types. I'm going to be joining a guild soon when I find one that fits my schedule. Most of my time when I log on is spent with LFG tag on and posting in the multiple channels for a group so I'm either afk, browsing bazaar or casually talking with friends. I've tried googling but most of the stuff I find is for level 70 content of PoP or beyond. Do you have any ideas on stuff I can work on like solo quests or useful clickies to camp?
Good work! You've done a lot and are at the point in the game where the game shifts towards big guilds. I believe PoP should open soon?

Just trying to be effective with the time I have. I found a list of clickies for shamans on the p99 wiki but not sure if it applies to a TLP server. PoP still has a little over 3 months until it comes out

recently i started on p99 server
im not familiar with other options, this is the main game now ? does it cost $
my real question is: this looks much easier than p99 ?... when u were lvl 3 u were killing skeletons easily and nothing was aggroing you
so is the main game a Lot easier than p99 ?

Hi Ron, The EQ live servers and TLP servers are all easier than P99 in my opinion. The EQ live servers can be played for free, but the TLP servers cost about $15 per month. Hope this helps. @@doctornachoz8099 in the Philippine, and the internet is horrible there... in the Philippines the internet dictates where u can live= need to be in one of the few select cities. the rest of asia is ok.. spent time in Thailand and had great interent basically right on the beach :)

Sure thing! The spell effects will show up in a few days because I've made a bunch of videos in advance with spell effects off, so look for nice spell effects in the future!!
