It’s a grea little plane. I fly this one more than a 737-600. Fun to just jump in, pull up little navmap and see where the VORs take me! Good thing is if you’re high and fast coming into an airport, that amazing air brake can really help save you!
1.0.8 been fine for me flying the US tour legs on VA. Love it. I love the 737 too but the more analogue approach to the 146 makes it more of a challenge, agreed. Also bit of a blind landing there. Impressive stuff JB.
Nice educational video on the Avro! Another blooper is when you left outer fuel pump for the APU rather than the Inner pump! haha! Yellow warning light on APU fuel pressure.
I haven't flown this for a while either - I love it, but the sim is made for bombing around sighteseeing at treetop height - so I really appreciate you went through that slow startup pointing everything out, not like a lot of youtubers who just go click click click on their honeycomb yokes and suddenly everything is working and you have no idea what they just did ... VOR navigation and exciting landings for the win ! TGT is shown on the middle dial in the engine instruments - if I'm remembering right, I just let the plane accelerate to a decent clip then put the TMS in TGT mode at whatever number was showing on the gauges at that speed.
An excellent landing, considering you hand-flew the approach and could only see the runway at the very last minute. I agree with keeping the mistakes in, because they help fix such errors in the mind of the viewer the next time he or she flies the same aircraft. That said, there is a TH-cam MSFS contributor who does far too little preparation before making videos, and does silly things like taking off with the doors open, or the ground power unit still attached. I had to unsubscribe from that person's channel because it just became irritating. Anyway, back to this channel - once again a very enjoyable video, done in just the right style too.
It depends if you're doing radio or GPS navigation. For GPS you must have a flightplan - for radio, you need to flick the switch on the instrument panel, and tune in a VOR, and use LOC mode.
I purchased this aircraft the other day , I’ve been loving it . I herd they have an updated version coming with a glass cockpit and updates introduced in 1993
Of course it is! The 146 is wonderful fun to fly - as long as you realise it pre-dates the Airbus and 737 by quite a few years, so doesn't have some of the modern gadgets they have. You actually have to fly it :)

I like how you revisit a plane after it's had an update. Some reviewers don't do this. I'm thinking about getting this plane down the road.

Well... I'm not really a "reviewer" - I'm just an enthusiast like everybody else :)

Love challenges ;)
Another Splendid Johnathan Beckett Video Thank You

Good tip - maybe I mixed it up with a different aircraft lol

Yep - I actually recorded a video a few months back about exactly how the TMS work - and since then I've forgotten nearly all of it lol
Man this has to be the hardest plane to learn.... I love it though!
It's easy to fly though! Just keep the paper checklist handy.

Cheers! Yes - the process of figuring things out is important. If we flew these planes day-in, day-out, perhaps it would be a bit smoother :)
how to turn on nav??? i can't turn on my nav and my V/L

Uhhhh……… near-miss mid-air at 18:06……..a low-wing GA flying straight towards you, missing you by………100 ft?….

JustFlight are working on the Avro RJ100 right now.
@@jonbeckett It's 2 months away they tell me.
I fly most of the time a320 and 777 is this plane for me or not?
You need to ask yourself that question
