It has come to our attention that perhaps we shouldn’t be defacing official government coins. So, for those of you concerned, please know that after our initial experimenting, we are using only non government issued .999 pure silver boullion.

Well that starts you down the right path. Next give up the idea of making coins yourselves, you don't have the right equipment for it.
The Canadian Mint will make any coins you like, in any metal you choose. Quality assured.
Then you can sell them for whatever you like and make tidy profit on them!
Better coins, more money for you. Win win.
BTW what you produce is not money. Just coins for entertainment value. What you are selling the coins for, is real money and more than the silver in the coins is worth.

I’ve only been buying PMs for a few years so correct me if I’m wrong. Any stamped bars and coins would’ve yielded a higher return for you when trying to resell them, depending on the price they were purchased.
If making your own coins is the goal. You are better off buying .999 or .9999 silver shot or something equivalent because they have the lowest premium.

You can use a sharpie as a gauge to know when your silver is annealed properly so you don’t risk overheating your silver. (Several issues arise when you over heat or “overcook” your silver) Mark your silver with a sharpie and then start heating your silver. Once the sharpie mark disappears, your silver is properly annealed.

Loved your video, happy to see this in Canada. A lot of hard work for a nice looking product. I never thought of this. I went in a different direction for my fractional silver. I purchased a bunch of "Junk Silver". aka, 1966 or earlier Canadian dimes; quarters; 50 cent pieces and silver dollars. They all have an 80% silver content. At the time of writing this, Silver Spot is about $39, so the dimes are worth about $2.34; quarters $5.85; 50 Cent pieces $11.70 and silver dollars about $23.41, (That is just the silver content. Some coins depending on condition may be worth more). This gives me a cheap fractional silver option.

It starts with coin collecting as a kid. This leads to collecting pre-1965 US 90% silver coins...which leads to buying .999 bullion, which leads to silver hoarding. My name is xxxx, and I have a problem...🤣🤣🤣 This is great! Your whole family learned how coins were minted in antiquity, but with modernity, like the press you have taking the place of the long striker die used in Roman times. Your forge represents the profession of assaying, since the known purity of precious metals is desirable, assayer's marks have used since antiquity to simultaneously "prove" the value of the metal, and inspire counterfeiters to this day. Wonderful journey to show your kids 🏆🏆🏆

At the same time Congressman Louis T. However at .999 silver it still has a value and is in a lesser denomination than a one ounce coin. In developing a secondary trading medium it allows those who wouldn't normally stack to have a legacy currency to exchange for good and services, during the coming highly likely challenging economic conditions, the US and Canadian Governmental are tanking themselves, the fiat currency will be useless and digital currency is of no value if the system that devised it is belly up.
