I've been gaming since the 90s and never realised the boring terrain was due to competition rules. I only ever did narrative or themed play, and much of my terrain is built for realism/aesthetics over gameplay.
@@stuartriddell2461 I thought much the same until i looked into it more. Hopefully we'll start to see more inspiring competition terrain going forward. 👍
A very clever use of sprue. If I had one suggestion, it's that I think the sprue should be covered in rust, it reminds me of a weird type of camouflage netting, and makes sense that it would be old rusted metal. These came out really good.

Narrative play?! That's sounds fun, I've only seen the competitive side of this hobby. I also just started getting into it shortly after SM2 released. Currently paint my inner circle comp battle force
Narrative play is really good for a more casual game with friends, setting up a board with terrain you want to use, rather than have to use. You’ll have plenty of fun with that Inner Circle Force 👍🏻 welcome to the hobby 🙂
Yay. I need to make more Sci-Fi terrain, so this is perfect. And I feel that scratch building terrain is extremely therapeutic for me. PS. Plus I despise MDF and 3D prints. ;)
17:11- Oh, ok! Maybe I don’t have to worry about the stuff I’ve already built then!?! But I’ll have to look into it! I am curious if there is a specific website that has all of those rules broken down by country?!? Or if I just need to go directly to GWs website or whoever is hosting the tournament website?!? Either way, this was another awesome video!!!
Thank you. The best thing to do is to look at who is hosting your local tournaments as they will normally have a rules booklet/pdf on the terrain set-up details. Normally fairly easy to get hold of if you contact them (whomever that may be in your local area).
@ yeah, that would definitely make sense! Which unfortunately in my opinion is very rare nowadays lol But I’ll have to check it out!?! Either way, it will be awhile before I ever did a tournament for this!?! I already have a hard enough time trying to get games in! Have a great holiday and a happy new years!!!
Not directly, especially for any competitive games of Warcry, but nothing would stop you using them for your home games if they fit your theme. These pieces are designed and made specifically for 40K competition games using the Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion. Hope this helps.
(WARNING: This is definitely a longer comment!!! And it’s just me talking about how I didn’t know this rule and also other rules that have kinda stalled out my ability of having my first game!! And the rest is just me rambling on about that and my armies I have!!! So normally I would say “if you don’t like this or that, then skip this”….. but I’m just going to say “just skip this!!! lol it’s all good either way! But if you do read this and you want to, I would love to know what you recommend and any other thing you might know about that most new players don’t know about but should?!? Either way have a great day!!!) 1:20- Oh…….. I did NOT know that!?! Now I’ve played a few other miniature games “like this” game! But to this day, I still have NOT played a legit WH40k game!!! I also never heard of this game or any other game like it 7 years ago!!! And this was NOT the 1st game like this that I ever saw or got into! It’s not even the 2nd or 3rd either! Anyways, because of my lack of knowledge about any of this game when I found out about a store that actually carried this and a few other games…… and the fact that they had everything for this game “on sale” but it wasn’t “marked” as it was “on sale” (aka I thought it was the “normal prices”) I ended up buying A LOT of stuff in that 1st week (which most of it was in that 1st day lol)! And that is why I am “technically” building 3 army’s! Which 1 of my armies is about 45 to 50% done (and that is my Ork army)!?! And that has NOT moved either way in awhile (since I have not been able to afford and/or can’t justify how much it costs for how little I end up getting for the bigger things I really want for that army! My 2nd army is about 70 to 75% bought and in my possession lol (and that is my Necron army! Oh boy, do I love these Necrons!!! I would say the Necrons and the Orks are either tied or battling it out for 1st place!!! And I said it the way I did because about 10 to 15% of what I have still isn’t built and/or painted and put on their bases)!!! Which is the last thing I’ve worked on and just finished with my Tomb Blades! And my 3rd army is my Space Marines (from now on, SM)! Yup……. I have some SM! And that army is “technically” 100% done!?! And if you ignore the rules that I also didn’t know anything about until I was around 60% done with the army, then it’s more like 140% done since I am definitely over the 2,000pts amount (but that includes a lot of characters that you can only have 1 in a 2,000pts list at a time! And a few that there are no rules for because they didn’t come from GW!!! But the rules I was mainly talking about that has me stuck….. kinda….. is the you are technically supposed to have “1 chapter/1 legion in your 2,000pts list”!?! I thought it was “SM”! THAT WAS the army!!! And out of the insane amount of WH TH-camrs I was watching at the time, not 1 of them ever even mentioned that rule/rules!!! NONE OF THEM!!! Actually I didn’t find that out until I was having a conversation with 1 of the guys I play my first and still favorite kind of these games with and the conversation tipped into me talking about how I was building some armies!?! They told me why they got out of WH and asked “which SM army are you building”!?! And, yeah……. it went downhill from there! But all of the “reasons” why he and so many of his friends got out of WH, I was able to see and confirm pretty quickly that they were NOT just made up!!! Which also sucks to know FAR TOO LATE ALSO)!?! But I’ve also been building terrain for this and a few other games from scratch!?! And now knowing that they “need to be” a certain size…. yeah, that kinda sucks also!?! Oh well I guess!
Thanks for the feedback. As a relatively new creator, reducing costs for making these videos is important. Using free music is a large saving but I will look to invest in new background music for my future projects.
As borning as competitive terrain is this is by far the best looking stuff ive seen, nice work 07
Thank you! Really appreciate the positive feedback, especially for, as you say, usually boring competitive terrain 👍🏻

how do you only have 3k subscribers. these videos are amazing!

Awesome feedback, thank you. I hope others see this and bare it in mind for their versions should they wish to build them 👍🏻

Awesome, thank you! Really appreciate the support.
Really smart idea of using magnet to keep the terrain flat
Thank you 👍🏻
awesome vid! will start working on this kind of project once i finished my ork army :) tnx for the inspiration ;)
Thank you! Good luck with your Ork army🤘🏻

Glad you like it! Would be really interested to know how you get on 👍🏻. Good luck!
This is pretty great for a competition table! I've seen far too many horrid ones, and these are just nice!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it.
Fantastic!!! I got so many ideas from this video!!
Awesome to hear. Thanks 👍🏻
Competition terrain is so much more balanced than anything I have made.
Hopefully it’ll help for any future builds 👍🏻
Nice work dude ✨✨
Thanks 🔥great to hear from you again 👍🏻

Thank you!
Did you cut foam core on your proxxon?
Yup, cut through like butter 👍🏻
Could these be used for Warcry?

I wish these channels would have some different music. The same corporate shopping music playing on loop for 20 minutes becomes grating really quick.
