Thanks for show mistakes as well as successes! BTW - loved seeing the deer (doe elk?) walking by in the background...

Looks great - but pretty slow... 45min/drawer? Nice video though - thanks for the idea!

I move my gadget boxes around all the time. Just have to make sure you recalculate them. Over a hundred boxes of all kinds of sizes on my 25x25 shark.

@@OutlawWoodworking Yes on the square box joints. The dovetails you can't move those around.

Thanks for this tip. I was wanting to build some that wouldn’t fit on a single sheet on my 4X4 bed. I’ll give this a try.

Nice video. What feeds and speeds did you use on that 1/8 bit. I have the same AVID cnc. I love it.

You mentioned that you have to use the box gadgets output and can’t redraw the lines yourself . My question is Can I redraw the lines if I use all the same information tin the tool path creator tab that the box gadget used.? Reason is I need to reposition my part to place it diagonally on my cutting table .

I think you could do it, there was someone that mentioned he was able to , I haven’t tried it yet ,let me know how it goes

You can reposition it anywhere. I use the nesting feature to move big box parts to seperate sheets. Just remember that you have to profile on the line not the outside and add tabs back if you lose the toolpaths which seems to happen with nesting. But it works slick to have 5 sheets from one box creation.

For the measurements of the box in the box creator, do you enter the inside or outside dimensions of the box you want to make? Great video. very informative for us newbies.

I’m having the exact same problem and I haven’t moved anything. IMO the gadget is JUNK. I noticed like yours that mine cuts “on” the path. It cuts each section twice in opposite directions. I come up with 1.25 male sections and 1.75 female sections. make tabs and 1.75 slots. I’m totally frustrated with this gadget and vectric in general. It reminds me of TurboCad in about 1990 as compared to lightburn which I would compare to autocad.

Get that camera out and video tape it. We always enjoy the videos.
