I mean yeah, this is just the basics if you get a dog, there is so much more, obviously if you have a full time dog then you should definitely not maybe get a dog, they poop, pee, run, bite, hyper, need to be walked everyday three times a day, need toys, crate or cage etc, a lot of money and time, because when they are a puppy they need toys and a crate and a leash and harness and shampoo and toothbrush etc and then when they are grown up they need a bigger cage and a bigger harness and stuff, also you need to train your dog as a puppy. Leash training, food aggression, walking,no biting,no chewing etc, a dog is the same as a child, a commitment, so if you aren’t ready then don’t get a dog, I have a Great Pyrenees and a German Shepard, when my 170 pound Pyrenees was a puppy it cost thousands of dollars for puppy thing and hygiene, cage etc and then when she got bigger and bigger, more things like another cage, leash harness etc, I adopted my Shepard so he was grown when I got him and I just got him a leash and collar etc, I also have a cat and so more things, im soon getting a service dog prospect puppy, takes years of training a service dog and it’s yes legal to owner train. Basically, dogs are commitment! I’m happy your dog is with you, your friend is a great owner! :) Also I know you said you don’t want a dog but small tiny dogs are a great first dog, less pulling while walking, more control etc :)
