This is so helpful! I have been using Open Medium with my heavy body but may not be using enough. Are you cleaning the plates with a baby wipe or cloth dipped in soapy water? I have such a hard time cleaning my plates. Enough using Open Medium. Thanks!
Thanks Sally. I’ve been using different paints with my Gel plate and now I understand why I am getting the different results with each. Question- what are you using to wipe the plate between your pulls? I always have a tough time with paint getting stuck to the corners and edges. Also, have you ever mixed Golden fluid with retarder?
Are you using the Senelier HEAVY BODY acrylic? I also see that this paint comes in GLOSS and MAT - which one do you recommend for the gel paint? Do so so much appreciate your video work!
This is a great video, it's very helpful. Thanks for sticking with it despite your technical difficulties.
Sally, this has been *amazingly* helpful, answered so many of the questions I had! Thanks so much ❤

I try to 'print off' any excess paint, but occasionally use babywipes. Baby oil gets stubborn paint off.

Hi, I use a baby wipe. You can use retarder but it will make the fluid very runny. I'd use Golden Open gel.

It was the one in a pouch 'Abstract' . Mat won't be as transparent as gloss... 🙂
Really useful thank you.
Can pouring acrylics be used on the plate?
I haven't used them but no reason why not...
what is that thinggy you wash your rollers in?
A shallow tray with a damp dishcloth 🙂
@@sallyhirstartisttutor6324 thank you
Sally - can you use oil based water soluble ink instead of acrylics?
Yes, this video is about acrylics but I often use Akua and Caligo. Not great for collage though as the glue wakes it up!
what are the softer tools than Catalyst?
