    Love the fact that during the video you mentioned "your dentist". I have found it difficult to find the best option in terms of selecting a dentist. In your opinion what do you think is the best way to go around picking the best dentist or orthodontist? Also curious on your particular case as an expert in the area itself. As someone starting Invisalign soon, appreciate your videos a lot. Thank you!

      Seeing an orthodontic specialist for orthodontic movement is prudent due to extra training and experience. Orthodontists are dentists with additional orthodontic training in a residency program. Use the AAO orthodontic locator to find one near you. Also friends and family are good referral resources.

      Different providers have different philosophies. Stick with the advice from your dentist since they can monitor you and adjust treatment accordingly.

    I heard you can put a little sensitive toothpaste such as Sensodyne on your teeth and then and then apply the trays to your teeth with the whitening in them. is that true that you can do that and it helps with sensitivity?

    Can I start whitening treatment while I am also doing Invisalign treatment? How do you receive gel treatments? Is this prescribed by our dentist? Thank you for your videos, they are so helpful as I start this journey!

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thanks for letting me know that the videos are helpful. To answer your question, whitening is sometimes done during ortho treatment but the attachment may get in the way. Most patients wait until they’re done with treatment to start whitening. However, you can talk to your orthodontist because there are whitening products for people in treatment that you can use. Good luck with your treatment.

    How likely do you think a synthetic enamel will one day be available for cosmetic purposes?

    • @TrayMinder

      That’s a very interesting question. Some research has been done but we are still pretty far from widespread practical clinical application. www.labiotech.eu/medical/dental-enamel-biopolymers/

    Can you elaborate on the cleaning aspect? I have some gel strips in my fridge I’m about to use again but haven’t had a professional cleaning in 9 months. I don’t want to trap/sandwich the bad stuff - if that makes any sense. Am I overthinking this?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. Brush well before bleaching and schedule a cleaning. The best time to bleach is after a professional cleaning.

    Is it okay for saliva to enter in between teeth and bleaching tray during the treatment session?(Talking about at home bleach)

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Yes, it is unavoidable. That’s why in-office treatment is more effective. Dry isolation and higher concentration of bleaching solution.

    Can I use my Vivera retainer for bleaching?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question. Retainers are stiffer and tighter fitting than bleaching trays. This can lead to bleaching material squeezing out of the trays into your gums, causing gum irritation and less than ideal amount of bleaching solution in the actual trays.

    With the understanding that a person isn’t swishing these highly pigmented drinks in her/his mouth after drinking through a straw, would using a straw help keep the visible portion of your teeth from staining?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Using a straw can minimize staining and acid contact with your teeth, especially when positioned toward the back of your mouth. Remember to maintain regular oral hygiene practices, and opt for water whenever possible. Reminder: My content is not intended to diagnose, treat, or provide dental advice. • @radicalie

    Can I use my last Invisalign tray for whitening even if the tray has bubbles from the attachments that were on my teeth?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A few caveats: tight fit of aligners may squeeze bleaching liquid into gums causing irritation. The attachment bubbles uses up extra bleaching material if you fill it up properly. If you don’t fill it up, some parts of your teeth may not get whitened evenly.

    So I’m suppose to use it everyday until I reach my goal ?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  ปีที่แล้ว

      The frequency of teeth whitening treatments will depend on the method you choose and your individual goals for the treatment.
      If you are using over-the-counter teeth whitening products, such as whitening toothpaste or strips, you will likely be instructed to use the product on a regular basis, usually once or twice per day, until you achieve the desired level of whiteness.
      If you are using professional teeth whitening treatments, such as in-office whitening or take-home whitening trays, your dentist will likely recommend a specific treatment plan that includes specific instructions on how often the whitening solution should be applied. The treatment will typically be less frequent than over-the-counter whitening products and you may need to wait a period before next whitening to avoid over-whitening or tooth sensitivity.
      It is important to note that, regardless of the whitening method you choose, it is not recommended to whiten your teeth every day, as overuse can cause tooth sensitivity and damage to the tooth enamel. Additionally, after you reach your whitening goal, you will need to maintain your whitening result by practicing good oral hygiene, eating a balanced diet and avoiding staining foods and drinks such as coffee, tea and tobacco.
      It is always better to consult your dentist to determine the best whitening treatment plan and schedule for your individual case.

    Any recommendations for toothpaste to use white whitening

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Most whitening toothpastes maintain, but will not likely make a huge difference in whitening teeth. It’s really about finding a flavor that you like for toothpastes.
