Before now I never picked up on the fact that Ms. Blankenship is mentioned by name a couple times in the earlier seasons before she actually appears on screen.
I'm an atheist, like Rothko, but I when I stare at some of his paintings, it's like staring at God. I'm not prone to hyperbole. I really mean it. To me they are not beautiful, but ominous and beguiling, in the same way that the universe is. They are unrelenting in their gaze. It's like staring at stars on a clear night. Part of you is awed, but another part is mystified. And terrified.
