Although this is without a doubt one of the most hilarious and absurd moments in Mad Men, there is a key moment in it where Randy talks about the heavens telling us to change.

OMG. I've watched Mad Men from start to finish twice, and rewatched this scene many times. It never hit me that Roger was admitting to a suicide attempt before. I'm sure LSD was involved, but it makes way more sense that he was actually considering ending his life than it does to think he was just high off his gourd and Randall was like, "maybe don't have your acid trip on the ledge of the roof, man." Really adds some depth to Roger's character, and it is totally like him to just casually admit to it under the radar.
Unless everyone picked up on this before except me.

When someone has the most BS crappy idea at your company go ahead and listen to them fully out.
The reason being even if their idea has no glimmer of hope of chance of being used you can always see a derivative idea/spin off of that idea.
Janeway and Blena Torres on star trek voyager do it all the time and happens in real life as well. So sometimes crappy ideas do give birth to great ideas.
So it is better than no idea.
