Why are they scoring a single strike as 30 and a 9/ as 19? This seems an odd way to do it. Seems to just inflate the scores, and with normal scoring Belmonte would have won without a rolloff.
I think world scoring is better although it does produce more ties. Imo its more fair that a strike is a strike rather than being so influenced by what you roll before and after it.
@@OtterSC2 current frame scoring takes away the point of the dual lane play. The point of the standard scoring system is to see how well you can string strikes on alternating lanes. If you master both lanes, you will do well. An alternating score of strike-spare on standard is 200, on the current frame scoring, it’s 245.
He’s a play-by-play analyst, he’s not really supposed to know much about the game, he’s just supposed to call what happens. Knowing about the game is Randy’s job. And I think that David Lamont is a pretty good commentator. He’s the second best next to Mike Jakubowski, in my opinion.

Jacob it’s called World scoring format, I’m going to do some research on it, it’s really weird to me as well
