Helmet amps are the only way you can hear music at highway speeds wearing earplugs. No Sena or Cardo model will make the heavy sound of Dokken sound loud enough for me without an amp.
its decent , just depends on the style of music your listening to, but nothing that will blow your mind. there are EQ settings on the cardo but they suck who ever designed the eq settings doesnt have any knowledge of good sounding music & they should do a update where it would allow the user to customize the settings.
so far I haven't gotten caught in the rain yet, but that's why they supply the extra long cables to accommodate for other style helmets & be able to tuck the wires better.
sorry to hear that happen to you, you should be able to get a replacement as it should still be under warranty. I dont think that they are water proof but feel that they are water resistant at the least.
@@ACProductions77 it rained just normal and it ruined it. Yea Ill be getting another , we have to figure out a way to keep it dry during rain . Unless I just pull it off when it rains is best thing to do.
@@silversorcerer9316 i must of been lucky with mine then as I got caught in a very bad rain storm on the way back from a long distance ride and so far it still works great.
@@ACProductions77 I bought the amp you listed , I hope it has good instructions cause I have no clue what wires it goes to, my helmet has a built in system but no jacks to plug in, I guess ill figure it out when it arrives thanks for the video
so I have the speakers and the amp , I think I will just order the cardo packtalk because the factory system on my helmet has no plug jacks . Its good idea right?
I show how to do it at 11:13 in the video which cables I disconnected to plug in the amp. the cables only go in one way so its not difficult to connect.

What do you call the circular plastic pieces that clips, the amp in?
its just a plastic clip that came with the amp to allow it to clamp in place.
Is it water proof? Has EQ modes? Regards.
I did get caught in a bad rain storm and the unit still worked , as far as it being water proof im not sure but it was water resistant.

I had it working for 2 days and it rained outside . Now it doesn't work Im sending the amp back

im not trusting that double sided tape for the mount to the helmet . One day it will fall off when im riding. I will epoxy mine to the helmet
