they for sure sound better then those stock ones but wish it had better bass, hopefully in the future they will come up with that tech for these speakers
@@ACProductions77 if you want more bass you either need to adjust your equalizer on your DAC or you’ll have to install an external DAC/amplifier to replace your current inline amplifier.
You don’t need the amp to make them work, but it does allow it to be louder when the stock setup maxes out, especially hitting triple digits. An amp with bass boost will only sound soo good until it sounds distorted the higher the volume gets past its point.
I have a crap viper integrated system and for reasons to long to explain could I fit a cardo to the helmet and use the existing speakers already built in? If so, how would I deal with the built in microphone as well, here's hoping 🙏
If the speakers you have use a aux 3.5 then yes you could use them as far as the mic goes I’m not 100% on that one. At this point might as just rip out the old system and install the system that comes with the cardo
Question, I 'm going to add the Xsound3 speakers to my helmet using a blue tooth dac amp with a hard connection. Now that speakers are isolated from the com unit. Using blue tooth from my phone to dac amp. Will the communications part work with the speakers. Best Regards. You have done what I want to do. Need the input,.
I have a isolated system with my other helmet & answer to your question will be no the communication will not work if your cable doesnt have a built in microphone. so if you get a call you will not be able to take it.
Better speakers will improve the sound quality but if for example your using a basic smart phone for music, the amplifier in that lets the whole system down. When I play Spotify in my car using my mobile the sound is awful, when I connect my DAC player it’s night and day difference. Will be the same with Helmet setups
So these xsound run at twice the ohm. I guess without an external amplifier you are trading max volume for a bit of fullness which wont even matter at highway speeds..
The speakers looks premium

@@RadDadisRad I did install an external amp with these speakers, here is the video>th-cam.com/video/yAGn3ATDDnU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the video do you need the amplifier or could I just swap out my stock jbl ones for these would it have better bass ?

Thankyou. Ride safe, God bless

What do you think of the whole setup? Compared to just running the original cardo speakers with no amplifier?
I feel like the new speakers have a better sound from them compared to the stock speakers that sound like it had no mid range or much bass.

I’m curious the quality of these drivers. Biggest issue with poor quality drivers is they over drive mids and everything sounds flat and washed out.
if they where to make a eq app for music I think that would be a upgrade to be able to customize the sound to your needs.

at hwy speeds nothing matters lol but having a amp will surely help you hear some music at least.
the amplifier is bomb...I have it and can't krank it pass halfway
Is the main volume on your bt set all the way up? That’s the only way to maximize the amp volume and have it as your main vol control
what I'm saying is the amplifier works so well that I can't turn all the way up...at half it is more than enough volume ...even when riding at 120mph
@@anthonywright359 ah ok got it 🙂💪, same i normally have it turned just a bit after I turn it on & its more then enough for me as well.
how is the sound quality at highway speeds
without an amp to boost the audio you will have a hard time hearing it at past 100mph
Your helmet has lots of wind noise cause its not a high quality helmet. A high quality helmets are truly quiet once the shield is closed.
yes my shoei rf1200 is very quiet compared to the hjc one. I guess the more quiet the more heavy =(
@@hatbird2696 I wear ear plugs & that lessens the wind noise & allows more of the music to be heard
Shoei Neotec 2 is literally silent.
@@SticksAandstonesBozo will have to try that one out thank you for the input =)
What about microphone? Is there one?
no you use the one that you have already with the comm unit. these are just only the speakers.
So I'm still none the wiser as to how these speakers have improved the sound quality 🤔🙄😕
it allows for less treble and more of mid range and little bit of bass compare to the stock speakers which is more treble and mid range
So what’s the amp?
@@brotherchuck2353 the amp that i use?
